The food is great real onion rings and lobster rolls are very good.

We often do long road trips for vacation, so we find these awesome places to eat that are too far away to go to again! This was one of them! I was torn between the chicken wrap, the taco salad and the chicken breast. My husband ended up getting the chicken breast. It has BBQ sauce and cheese on it. He said he was very happy that I suggested that! I got the wrap and it was sssooo good!!! Food came out quickly and we had great service!

Our waitress went above and beyond. She worked hard to make every table happy and did it like it was nothing. Kudos to her!!

Ribs are wonderful. My son kept saying I ate the whole thing, no fat on it at all. I had char grilled chicken breasts with Monterey Jack cheese and mushrooms, It tasted so good like, you grilled out. Mom had sweet potato fries with a caramel dipping sauce!! Onion rings are the best and come by the foot or half foot.

We came to Silver Lake for a week of camping. The owner suggested Open Hearth and we are glad he did! I read excellent reviews and saw a lot of good things about their fried asparagus. It’s seasonal and near the end, so I’m glad we ordered some. My wife and kids don’t like asparagus but I do, and I demolished the entire order. Service is very friendly and the food was delicious! Beer was good too. Lake perch, grilled ham and cheese, and Caesar salad are featured in the pics (and the asparagus). My wife said nay-nay to me snapping a pic of her plate. We would definitely come back!

Great little spot to grab a meal. Service was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Wife had the fresh perch and it was hot and delicious. Daughter had the beer and cheese soup and the chicken Alfredo which was also tasty (huge portion). Son had the kids cheeseburger which he crushed. I had the open faced hearth burger which was not bad. The molten chocolate dessert was fantastic. Warn chocolate cake with hot fudge and caramel sauce with a side of vanilla ice cream. The kids destroyed it. Can definitely recommend this one!

Great food, fantastic staff, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. This restaurant has a wide selection of homemade entrees, soups, desserts, and cocktails. Generous portions for a good price. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food, service, quality, cleanliness, and atmosphere. Definitely the BEST restaurant the area has to offer.

I ordered the beer battered Shrimp and my friend ordered the perch and we shared some deep fried asparagus that was freshly picked from the farm down the road. Great food, fantastic staff, and a great overlook over the orchards surrounding.

Nice place near Hart. Nothing fancy, but good tasty and HOT food, full bar and friendly service. My wife loved the deep fried asparagus from the farm across the road. Steak tips in gravy with mashed potatoes were very good too.

Very homely restaurant, Energetic staff greeted us immediately and had us seated extremely fast. Food was priced extremely well relative to places closer to silver lake. Everything our table ordered was hot and delicious and served fairly quickly. 10/10 service, staff, and food

We had the mushroom swiss burger and the french dip. Both we absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend. I had the french dip and it was 🔥. Kayla was great and gave us fantastic recommendations and was very friendly! Overall, great experience….we’ll be back!

Huge portion size American bar and Restaurant. We loved each item on the menu from Beer battered shrimps to white fish and chicken to Tacos 🌮. Good cocktails - traditional Mule is good to try and even the draft beers are fine. Loved the interior and the theme which is totally traditional and forest 🌳 based.
Don’t forget to try the cheesecake and chocolate volcano which is again homemade taste and is a delight to have!

At this restaurant you buy your onion rings by length and then they bring out the onion rings on a pole of the length of onion rings that you ordered. I thought this was a fantastic experience. Everybody else made fun of me because I only ordered 6 inches of onion rings.

One weird thing is that it is located on top of the gas station. That’s pretty cool.

There were skateboards all over the place there. Probably because they were on a big hill. Western Michigan is weird.

Very delicious food, good sized plates, at an affordable price. Though understaffed, the staff was excellent and friendly.

Very nice place it is cool it has been clean every time I’ve been there. The service was ok but it was busy so I didn’t expect much more. Food was great!

This is a good place to eat, lots of choices including local favs, like asparagus and fried lake perch. GET THE PERCH, don'tess around with stuff you might get back home.
