We came in, to a world where spices blend,
In Portage, Michigan, where paths wend.
A store that's filled with India's grace,
Where every spice finds its rightful place.

My fiancé, curious and bright,
Asked for their favorite, a savory delight.
Not cuisine, but the essence, pure and bold,
Of India's treasures, in flavors untold.

They sell spices and foods, a feast for the eyes,
At prices that make it a shopper's prize.
Among their offerings, we found a treat so fine,
A frozen dairy gem, from buffalo milk divine.

In the World of Spices, we danced in delight,
With treasures in hand, our hearts took flight.
A store that brings India's warmth to the chill of Michigan's night,
A haven of flavors, where everything's just right.

I love World of Spices. It smells so wonderful inside, and they have spices that you can't find anywhere else. Recently I've gotten into brewing meads and world of spices has everything I need and more. I've been going there every week ore 2 for the last 6 months and I recommend you make a visit.

World of Spices is the shop where you will find each and every items for Indian grocery. Highly recommended.

Good Store but some stock in some items not enough so care about stocks

Stop reading and go there. I’m serious. There is no way I or anyone else can leave a review that does this place justice. The selection of herbs and spices is INCREDIBLE and the prices can’t be beat anywhere. Things I usually have to search for online for two or three times the cost is right there on the shelf. The staff is so nice and helpful as well. Why are you still reading? Go there!

Good place to get asian food and herbs.

I have not been able to go lately but I wish I could. They carry a great selection of spices and Indian food. I loved the produce. I always was assisted by staff who made suggestions and explained about unfamiliar products. Great experience.

Very friendly and helpful workers here. They had what I was looking for and I was and to get in and out right away with what I came for. I would recommend especially if you are looking for a, specific item. Just call first to be sure they carry the item. Overall, lovely place to shop.

They have great prices for local supply of Indian cooking necessities and goodies. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I rather shop here than the chain Indian stores in other locations. They are an environment leader with their BYO bag policy. Other stores should follow suit.

Love, love, love this store. We get all our spices from here as well as rice, cilantro, chick peas, beans etc. Always good quality and friendly staff. Even better, they sell real Cadbury chocolate, not the American Cadbury, but actual British chocolate imported in. Their ice cream is delicious with amazing flavours.

They have a large selection of unique spices and also lots of the standards that everyone can use day to day. They also have some fresh veggies and fruit, naan bread, noodles and a large refrigerated and freezer section.
The store is clean and the workers were very helpful and friendly. We'll definitely go back!

Great store, every Indian Food item you could possibly want. Great prices, and always friendly, helpful employees. I've been going to this store for about 15 yrs and have never been disappointed.

As the name says there is lots of spices. If you want to make your own curry they have all the spices. I bought an already made curry powder and it was good. They also have frozen and canned Indian and middle eastern foods. Nice place.

Whaddaya know, Indian store in Kalamazoo!!! I was able to find my favorite kind of natural henna hair dye with hair-health-boosting nutritional additives for a decent price. And parathas, yum!

I had no idea that a store of this "spicey" quality existed. My sister had purchased from world of spices, but not this location, and as we were window shopping talked me into a visit. Glad I did and purchased some great ground jalapeno pepper and Italian spice. When I'm in the neighborhood again I will be stopping and shopping.

Huge variety of not every day spices and foods. Did not find what I was looking for this trip, but the lady did what she could to help me find where I might get it. Ended up having to order online. Great friendly service.

We everything you need to do Indian cooking. Good staff. I wised they had more Swad stuff, it's the best.

Nice selection of Indian foods, spices and Halal meats. The only place I can find that sells paneer. Good selection of "tv dinner" style Indian foods. They also stock some fresh veggies.
