Torch Lake Café

My family and I had a wonderful time at torch lake cafe. The food was amazing, we were very happy with all of our selections. Our service was wonderful, I can’t remember our servers name but she did a great job. The entertainment was also awesome! The owner of the restaurant is the entertainment, I thought that was very cool. My sister has a 3 year old and he was dancing away in the front row.

We will return to try more of the menu. There are limited restaurant options in this area, and it’s nice to know that this place is a total stand out.

Excellent menu variety with unique entrees. Especially enjoyed the Elk Rigatoni, soup selections and charcuterie board. The live entertainment was fun too. Service was solid.

Camping nearby and decided to swing over for dinner. Lively on a Friday night but not too crowded. We both had an excellent glass of local wine, then enjoyed the Scottish Salmon and Elk Bolognese. Both were amazing with generous portions. The Brussels are to die for. Lori was wonderful and attentive. Atmosphere and decor are very cool. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I stopped by and have heard great reviews about it before so we came to check it out! Great service and atmosphere! The manager was so sweet and was stopping by every table to check in with everyone! We ordered the Truffle Fries to start off with which were very good and fresh! Then we split the special that night which was the Ribeye and the Lobster with twice baked potatoes and broccolini! It was so good and very flavorful! The chef was nice enough to split it in the kitchen on two plates! We also came for my birthday and they gave us a free dessert so we had the Flourless Chocolate Cake! The creamiest and richest cake I’ve ever had! The live music was great as well! Very nice details in the restaurant too! We are making plans to come back for his birthday! 10/10 would recommend!

Killer burgers and more

Came in for lunch on a Monday. It wasn't super busy so we got a table right away.

Our server was friendly and prompt.

The atmosphere here is great as well!

The food though is off the charts. The burger was so delicious and packed with flavor.

The fries were a bit old, but the burger more than made up for it.

What an excellent experience! We started out with John Cross fish cakes, yummy! Then we had the chicken parmesan and nachos. Both were very, very good. Service was great! Walking out of the restaurant I was looking at some of the other food being served and definitely will be back. If you have an opportunity to try it, you definitely need to.

Fab spot for good eats and live music. My kiddo and I stopped in for a bite and were pleasantly surprised with live jazz on the patio followed by trivia (We got 2nd place). Menu has plenty of options and portions are generous. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back! Heard breakfast is great.

Everything here was amazing. The building and decor was so cool. The music was great (somewhat loud to be able to talk to others at your table). The food was tasty and perfect. The staff was personable and attentive. Definitely will come back when we are in the area again. To the customers complaining about the price…did they not give you a menu with the listed prices before you ordered? So you know the price, order, consume, then run to Google to complain. Lol ok

This was our first time to the area and it was recommended to go to Torch lake for the food and live music. The drinks were delicious, a Manhattan and a Hawaiian blue. The food was even better! Steak Marsala and Scottish salmon were marvelous. Then the live music started with Leann and Ivan, a perfect ending to a fun day! If you’re looking for good food and entertainment on a Friday night, this is your place!

Great service, super cute atmosphere, menu isn’t a large one but it has the favorite classics and a few unique items.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant! The food was amazing! Best mushroom bisque on the planet. The TLC burger was the best burger I’ve ever had. Topped off the meal with “real” strawberry shortcake and from scratch key lime pie. The food and Chef Stafford could stand toe to toe with any big city restaurant. My only regret is that I live 600 miles from here and can’t enjoy it more frequently. Thanks for a wonderful experience. See you again next year.

Just went here with some friends. Absolutely delicious food and drinks! Service was great. The atmosphere was very nice. We sat out on the porch although it was a tad chilly, it was overall splendid. Very excellent marks, highly recommended!

This is the place to stop for local food!

The menu is creative, well balance of variety and local creations. It was refreshing to see chowder made with local fish and morel mushroom bisque at an affordable price!

We were traveling with our dog, and luckily the outside patio seating is dog friendly. The servers were attentive and the food was fresh and delicious! The fries were cooked perfectly, its hard to find a place that does good shoe string fries, and the fruit cup was a good variety, not just melon. My husband enjoyed his pork belly burger, staying it was crispy and fatty. The fish chowder was incredible, it was savory and seasoned just right.

Highly recommend checking out their little shop in the parking lot, that has souvenirs, drinks and pastries to go.

The food was fresh and delicious... worth the wait. Bakery items were yummy! Good staff. Interesting building!

We ate here at 8pm on a Tuesday night. Not a lot of people given the day and time of night in March. There was a gentleman playing the guitar and singing. It was enjoyable. Looked at the menu and I first noticed the prices were on the higher side. I also noticed there wasn't a lot of options. Let me just say the prices are well well worth it and the smaller menu is a definite plus giving the chef and cooks less items to spend more time on perfecting. I got the Burger. It came on the most amazing Ace Bakery bun ever. The onions were grilled to perfection with the cheese melted perfectly. The beef is cooked to order. My buddy ordered the chicken flatbread and he also was amazed at the flavor. Great experience all around.

An extremely wonderful experience, from polite wait staff, food n drinks were delicious, to the Legendary Larry McCray Band playing top notch blistering blues ... highly recommend n worth the travel. Can't wait to take family n friends.

Amazing restaurant with some amazing food. The staff here is very polite and friendly. The ambience is great, with great cleanliness and rustic look. Loved it and will definitely visit again.
Wish they’d open a branch soon near Detroit city.
