Family Promise Thrift Store

Prices are probably the best for a thrift store in Johnson City, and I think they have been expanding so you will find more items there than in the past, but I may be wrong on the second part.

I love going here, its definitely my favorite thrift store in the tri-cities, coming from kingsport. You can tell the management and staff really care about people & they don't overprice things like other thrift stores do, which is awesome!

The best prices I’ve seen in any thrift store. A great kitchen/homegoods section & very affordable clothing. Great finds if you take time to sort through things!

Fear not when buying computers from Family Promise! I bought a high-end gaming PC from Family Promise in June 2022. Very happy with it - it was built in-house with new parts. Staff at the shop are very friendly, and helpful, and this place is definitely worth a visit, especially for an affordable computer.

There are two separate sides of the thrift shop, separated by an airway. One is for clothes and jewelry while the other side is for home goods.

You cannot beat the prices and I always find gems when I visit! The staff is so friendly, they always greet you and offer help and are open to questions. They are always clean and organized, too, which is so nice! In my opinion this is the best thrift store in Johnson City.

I have 3 teen girls and a growing boy. I love the prices, if they don't like my choices we just donate to local families. Girls working are always so pleasant.

I’m fairly new to the area and went thrifting for the first time today. We went to a few stores and this was by far my favorite one. They have a big variety of items, the staff are very friendly and the prices are super reasonable. I expect to become a regular customer!

I loooove Family Promise! It is a wonderful store with wonderful staff and a wonderful mission! The prices are sooo low and the proceeds go towards helping the homeless population in Johnson City! 10/10 would recommend to anyone I meet and will definitely be going back!

I absolutely love this store! The employees are so friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming and fun. If you’re looking for cool finds and cheap clothes you should definitely check them out!

I find an excuse to go to Family Promise at least once a week. The prices are so inexpensive. I’ve found good quality pants for my mom who is tiny and jeans for myself as well as towels, games, dishes. The shop has a handle on good practices for COVID times.

A place where I can get my thrifting fix AND support those facing homelessness in my community? SIGN ME UP! Staff are readily willing to test items for functionality before you purchase and they even helped me carry it to my truck! Yesterday I picked up a fully functioning SodaStream (retail $60) and a humidifer (retail $30) for $11 TOTAL! Highly recommend.

I love this thrift store! The clothes are really nice and well priced. The store feels very organized, and the workers are such nice people. I will definitely be going back!!

Always go there! They actually give food to the hungry, and they donate a big portion of their profits to homeless families in need. God bless them and what they're doing!

Such a diversity in selection items. Warm and empathtic , clean, and friendly.

It is a wonderful place with lots of items from clothes to kitchen to furniture I pved the place and the people.. the prices were amazing cheap if you're on a budget

Very nice store. They have good prices on clothes etc. and this store actually has refurbished computers for sale as well with good prices.
