Great customer service. Came in for a belt. Left with a new pistol. It was close to closing and I said I'd come back the next day when paperwork went through. They said to stick around and wait it out. It came in just before closing but we're willing to work with me because they didn't have anything urgent. Being willing to stay for a customer when they didn't have plans says a lot. They could have easily said it was too late come back tomorrow and I would have 100% understood.

I absolutely love this store. Everybody there is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great prices on guns, super easy to work with on gun broker sales, form 1 & 4 applications. If they had a range at the store if never leave!

Stopped in today to purchase a firearm. The group of employees could not have been better to work with. They were super friendly, knowledgeable and didn’t try to upsell. The cost of the brand new firearm was better than anywhere else. This was my first time in there, and I will be a repeat customer for years to come. There’s some negative reviews on here, and I can’t figure out why. Allegheny Arms is the go to place in my opinion! Thanks for a great experience Allegheny Arms!!!!

We were at the store on April 20, 2024 to look at their inventory. We were waited on by a young man, Nate. He was AWESOME. He knew exactly what our needs were and handled the transaction quickly. He was very knowledgeable and respectful with all of my questions. He is an asset to Allegheny Arms & Gun Works. Also, their store mascot is an adorable dog.

They took in my type 99 arisaka in the gunsmith department when no other gunsmith would even bother having me bring it to them and work on it. Got it cleaned and serviced and okay to fire. And I am ecstatic that I can fire such an excellent piece of history. Very satisfied with the service. It was quick easy and cheap. Highly recommend for weapon services

Excellent and knowledgeable service is always provided when I visit this location. The staff were even nice enough to assemble some shotguns for us at the last minute before a shooting trip. Highly recommend this armory!

Brought my S&W in to get checked out. They diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and did a great job explaining the issue to me. Courteous staff. I strongly recommend Allegheny Arms and Gun Works.

The purchase experience was great, great selection of firearms, knowledgeable employees about both the firearms and any law questions I had regarding the purchase of my new firearm. One of the great points was they told me they had lifetime service for firearms purchased there. Well it must mean it takes a lifetime to do it. A week after I had purchased my firearm, I haven't even fired it and there was a crack in the grip all the way through where the grip screw went in. I went to them and they made it easy, I showed my receipt, they told me I didn't need to provide a phone number or email and they said they'd order grips and call me when they got them in. I called them after eight months to see if they had it in yet, they asked me if they had called me yet and I said no, they told me we'll call you when we get them. It has now been two and half years, and I still haven't received a call for my grips and firearm. Bottom line, great guns, great people, just don't bet on the service, which for me at least is very important.

Updated Review: They reached out to me which was quite impressive given the amount of time that has passed. They offered me about half the cost of the custom grips I had made and to clean my firearm professionally. The manager Skippy was very kind and explained to me what happened without making excuses. After how they made me feel, I'd go back to them again.

I bought my first gun from Bruce when he was a manager out at Anthony Arms nearly 13 years ago and continue to shop at the store he now owns. He's been the most genuine, fair, knowledgeable and honest salesman I ever had the pleasure of doing business with. He's gone out of his way to get always give me advice or to hook me up with what ever I need. I traded in a gun today and he gave me more than any other valuation I had found online. His products are priced well, and its awesome that i can support local business and still get the most bang for my buck. Years ago, he was able to get me a hard to find rifle, that everyone else was charging nearly double for, not Bruce, it was MSRP. This is honestly the best experience I've ever had with a gun shop, and it's been consistently that way for over a decade of visits between the previous shop and the current one, and its all because of Bruce. Thank you, Brother!

My wife, son, and I have bought numerous guns from here. I won't mention how many, but we've been highly satisfied. They stand behind every firearm they sell. They have an in-house gunsmith that can handle any repairs needed. They even stand behind used guns for a small extra fee. You can also purchase guns online from anywhere you like. They'll call you when it's delivered. You then go in and pay for your background check and walk out with your new purchase. If they don't have a particular gun/model in stock at the time, they will order the gun for you and call you when it arrives. A+ service with all of the transactions we've made here. A silencer shop kiosk would be a huge plus for this place. It's the only thing keeping this gun store from being the only gun store I choose to shop at. Prices are super competitive on every gun model.

***to update*** I understand the kiosk thing. It's just my preference. I wouldn't ever hold that against this place. It's literally my favorite gun store anywhere in this area. Believe me, we've been to all of them. And the crazy people leaving negative reviews about how long it takes to get service.... these guys get busy sometimes. It happens. They don't push their way into you browsing. Ask for help. They'll help. Trust me, they'll take all the time you need to answer any questions you have to the fullest when it's your turn. But you'll get the same undivided attention when it is your turn. Sorry for the rant if you read this entire review.

Needed a new and improved trigger for my g43x so I went to AGW for the install. Talked to Josh Rowe, the owner, about this before I even went over. He took good care of me and had my new trigger with Ghost connector and new recoil rod and spring ready to go the next morning. Service was great, fast and professional. I was impressed with his staffs knowledge and I will have all gunsmith work done by Josh and his crew at AGW when I need it. Best part is my groups at 25 yds are right where I want 1st time out thanks to my new trigger!

Very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Great place to go if you're looking for your next edc. They have great used stuff as well.

I am extremely impressed with the level of service I received at Allegheny Arms.
Not being an expert on firearms, I was relying on the expertise of the staff, and they did not disappoint.
I worked with Nate, and he answered all of my questions and was very efficient in processing the required paperwork.
Their selection is fantastic, and I highly recommend Allegheny Arms (and Nate) if you are in the market for any of their many products.

I had placed an online order for a left handed shotgun with another company who claimed the gun was in stock. A week after I placed the order I find out it was not, only after calling and waiting on hold for 35 minutes. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my wife.

I cancelled the order and found the same gun at a better price online at Allegheny Arms. I emailed them and asked if the gun was in stock, figuring I would have to call because I probably would not get a response. To my surprise, within 10 minutes they responded back confirming the gun was in stock and the person who emailed me even physically verified it was actually in stock.

I placed the order online and they shipped the gun the same day.

After 6 years of visiting Allegheny Arms & Gun Works, in my opinion, they are the best dealer in the Pittsburgh area. Not only do they have a large selection of firearms and accessories, they more than willing to locate, or order, just about anything you are looking for that relates to the firearms industry. The staff has changed over the years but just about everyone that I have had conversation with has been knowledgeable and willing to help me with any questions that I had. Yes there have been times that I was not taken care of right away but that was due to other customers being taken care of before me. That is what happens when you have good product/service, being busy. I personally know that both the owners have been in the firearms industry for some time now, I won't name but the one owner is extremely knowledgeable in the firearms industry as well as gun smithing. when you get the chance to actually talk with him, he is very engaging and pays attention to what you are asking/describing.
The show room is very clean, bright and laid out in a open manner.

Allegheny Arms is the best Pittsburgh local firearms dealer I have had the pleasure of dealing with.

I first visited them 2 years ago to purchase a small caliber pistol for my girlfriend to familiarize herself with. I did not have a good idea of what to purchase, but the kind staff at Allegheny Arms worked with both of us to find one. They presented the Smith and Wesson M&P 380 EZ. The person working with us showed my girlfriend every feature of the gun and reviewed gun safety with her. They made her feel comfortable and confident by bringing her, a newcomer to firearms, up to speed in a polite and professional way. As it turns out, the Smith and Wesson M&P 380 EZ is my personal favorite firearm out of the six I own. My Vietnam veteran father loved it on the range commenting on how smooth the slide action was and the sensible safety features.

The second time, I used their gunsmithing services on a Springfield 911 that lost a spring to the safety feature. I did not have replacement parts on hand and felt the safety should be looked at by a professional. This occurred during the heavy gun sales of the pandemic. Within a week and despite the massive load of service requests and purchases, Allegheny Arms provided me with my 911 in full working order and a $0 bill.

The third time, I used their FFL transfer services for one of the few remaining AR 15 lower receivers on this planet. Again, despite the load, I was able to arrive, go through background check, and leave with my new lower the same day the package came in.

When I've needed a part, Allegheny Arms has it and can point me in the right direction. When I've needed ammunition in this scarcity, Allegheny Arms has it in stock. When I have a question, even if it's stupid in retrospect, Allegheny Arms staff are ready and willing to answer. I have never had a single negative experience with any member of the team.

They've run a fabulous business before and during the pandemic. I make the 30 minute drive just to shop here.

Whether you're a newcomer to firearms or experienced and looking for quality parts and ammunition, Allegheny Arms is the place.

First time in the store and was very impressed. Great selection of new and used guns. Took my duty weapon in to have a red dot installed. Even though I didn’t but the gun or red dot there a gun smith installed it in a short amount of time while I waited and it only cost $25.00. Cheaper than what it would have cost me to buy what I needed to install it myself. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back to make a purchase.

I purchased both my glocks at this store. Service is great and everyone is kind. I both guns about 2 years ago and just forgot to leave a review. I have intentions of buying a few more guns and will be going back to Allegheny Arms.
