Costa Deli

Check this place out! It’s a small local deli. Ran by the same family for multiple generations and they clearly know what they’re doing. It’s very unique. I would recommend getting an Italian hoagie here, that’s what I had and it was absolutely amazing! They also make milk shakes and have an assortment of home made pastas you can take home. Kid friendly, large table in the back if you want to sit down and they even have arcade games. The staff was super friendly, made excellent recommendations and even told some pretty funny jokes. Seriously, if you haven’t been here, check it out!

Costa’s is always excellent. We’ve been buying hoagies here for years but decided to try their catering trays for our party. Our guests were raving about the food and so were we. I had separate people complement every item we ordered. And luckily we got to enjoy the leftovers! Definitely recommend the catering, delicious and easy!

Been eating breakfast sandwiches and cheesesteaks from here for years. Easily one of my favorite spots to eat. Sadly moving away and Costa will be greatly missed. Anytime I’m back in the area, I will 100% be getting a steak!

In the Philly area traveling for work. I saw this little deli and stop for a quick bite of lunch. Was able to meet the owner sitting here at the table and the ladies behind the counter were so friendly. They made me THE BEST cheese steak sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. If you ever come through this area, you have to stop at Costa Deli!

Great place to grab lunch. Delicious and friendly staff. Pastries and more. Ice cream, milkshakes. Steak and cheese with onions was spot on. Turkey and cheese yummy. They offer a variety of groceries. Different cheeses! Pasta salad, cole slaw. Little bit of everything. Easy off and on highway access.

The sandwiches were so good! We had the Italian hoagie and ham hoagie. We definitely recommend! Fresh meat and cheese.

We ordered a hoagie tray for our family party. Everyone loved it! The rolls were perfect and everything was fresh and packed so nicely! We'll be back!

Cheese Steaks are freakin top notch! I will hit the place up every time I'm in the Philly area. The people that work there are super helpful when trying to decide what to get. Great local vibe.

Just moved to the area and stopped in on a whim, and I'll be a regular now. Not only does the place have great food, but a nice old school vibe that is extremely refreshing and rare to find. Much love!

David and the team there provided an awesome first experience. I ordered for a group of peers from our corporate office in Fort Washington for takeout today. The cheesesteak, chicken cheesesteak and turkey clubs were awesome. I'll be ordering here much more from now on. Learned they were a 75 yr running family local business which I love to support.

I got an Italian hoagie for take out. The folks at the counter were super friendly. The hoagie was very good. I will definitely go back when I am in the area.

If I could rate Costa Deli 100 stars, I would.

I was greeted immediately by the owner, Dave, as he was joyfully chatting with his mother, and he directed me to the counter to take a seat for a meal. I then met Steve, the chef and culinary genius behind the magic that is, Costa Deli.

Per Steve's expert recommendation, I ordered a classic Italian hoagie with sopressata, provolone & capicola, hot peppers, sweet peppers, lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar, and hot pepper flakes. This was easily one of the best hoagies I've ever had. The flavors were so balanced. The bread was so fluffy and light, yet robust enough to easily hold the ingredients of the sandwich. The meats and cheese were so flavorful and of the highest quality and freshness. The peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all prepared to perfection and also incredibly fresh and juicy. I could tell Steve was not only great at what he does, but he also loves what he does.

In addition, I naturally ordered a chocolate milkshake and an order of French fries. The milk shake was delicious and hit the spot. Steve fried the fries to perfection and they were lightly salted and crispy, just how I like them.

Towards the end of my meal, I met Jack, another chef, who kindly asked me how I was doing, let me know of the incoming rainstorm, then got right to work building more of the famous Costa Deli hoagies for several online orders. The kitchen hummed along and David, the owner, humbly stepped in to assist the line with anything they needed. I really admired, respected, and appreciated Dave's teamwork and care for his staff.

To end my lovely time at Costa Deli, I spoke at length with Dave about how contemporary society has drifted away from the mom-n-pop style restaurants and stores and towards corporate consumption of big name stores. We discussed how much we appreciated the sense of community provided by and created through corner stores in small towns just like Costa Deli. We all need to support small businesses whenever possible because one's like Costa Deli make you feel like you've walked in from the outside world and stepped right into the home of the Costa family.

I will most certainly be back and I highly encourage you to sit at the counter and watch Steve, Jack, Dave, and the rest of the Costa Deli staff go to work.

I really liked it here. There was a neat selection of ice cream. All kinds of goodies. Some tables in the back. Very pleasant.

I wanted to send food to a dear friend and her family. Her mother passed away. I am not from the Ambler PA area and I needed to act fast. I read the catering reviews on Costa Deli and called. My experience was great. Dave took my order on Friday and all of the information. It arrived to the house as scheduled on Saturday. This is what my friend wrote to me, "I cannot thank you enough for what you did for the family. Dinner was incredible. The restaurant did a beautiful job and the food was delicious. I had the best vegetable sub. Yummy. The cookies and macaroni salad were incredible." Thank you, Costa Deli!

For relatively the same price, would you rather:

1) Get a quality breakfast sandwich and coffee from a locally owned Italian deli with friendly staff

2) Get microwaved & over processed fast food paired with mediocre coffee from the Dunkin across the street

It’s an easy choice with Costa. Best BE&C in town, nice Italian market inside.

We were visiting family in the area stopped in for supper, so glad we did. Great food- they care about their food. Would highly recommend.

Friendly staff and delicious meatball sandwich

Classic old style deli, go for good food and an interesting location to walk around or eat at inside. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches if you ever get here early enough!

I had an Italian sausage sandwich with peppers onions sauce and cheese on a soft crisp roll. It was perfectly crafted and portion size was just right. The staff there is welcoming and friendly I had a pleasant conversation about days past while there. Highly recommend.
