Mr. Shuck's Seafood

We sat at the bar so we were served quickly. We had a few drinks while we waited for our food. Drinks were good. The place is spacious and will definitely come back.

Ordered food to take home. Received our order and proceeded to head back home. 15 minutes later we received a call from Mr Shuck's that they forgot some of our order. They proceeded to meet us on the interstate miles away and hand deliver the remainder of our order. We were extremely impressed with their customer service and making the effort to get us our order. The food also was excellent. We will definitely be seeing them again.

To say we really enjoyed this feast is an understatement. We were overwhelmed. This was hands down, the best meal we had on the Island...well, off the Island. It was hot, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The Garlic Crabs 🦀 delicious and plentiful. It seems the shrimps 🍤 were endless. When you throw in the Corn, Potatoes and Sausage...the heavens definitely opened up. The drinks 🍸 were superb. You owe it to yourself to come off the island and dine here. Although we enjoyed our meals on the island, no other spot had this type of Seafood Platter. This is what we were missing. It was a birthday celebration, and they did not disappoint with the Chocolate Brownie Sundae. Sabrina guided us through this cruise to "Seafood Wonderland" and could not have been a better host. Mr. Shucks himself came out to greet us, and that put the finishing touch on our experience. After following him for years on social media, it was more than a pleasure dining here. You can't go to St. Simons Island or Jekyll Island without checking this Brunswick spot out. It will be worth the trip.

Delicious & Fresh food, relaxed atmosphere, the price is definitely worth it, clean restrooms, great location and exceptional customer service!! They make their own tartar sauce and it is Devine. The Garlic Butter is to live for!! Just a suggestion.. Try Mrs. Shucks Feast, Buffalo Fried Eggs, Catfish Dinner and Oysters on the half shell (Steamed) thank me later.. Now Get There!!

I've gotten so many positive reviews about Mr. Shucks....I FINALLY got an opportunity to try with friends. We got to meet "Mrs. Shucks." I'm very selective about seafood because I grew up on the water. My friends and I enjoyed!

We came when people were on break so it was slower on service, but it WAS worth the wait. Reservations not required but encouraged. Kim was the bartender and she was "very nice" with the premium margaritas.

The loaded oysters were ok. The food was AMAZING....The prices are very reasonable!!! I can't wait to come back.

After a long day of travel, I had the best hush puppies I've had in some time, accompanied by grilled snapper in the basket. The waitress was super attentive and receptive. The food was cooked to order and had so much flavor. WOW. Give them a try sometime, I know you'll enjoy.

Absolutely delicious seafood. We dropped in after seeing their stellar reviews while traveling from FL to NC. We don't regret it. It's worth the wait if you have to, we did. Initially came in and they were super busy about an hours wait. We left and came back-so glad we did. We had the The Snow Feast that came with snow crab legs, potatoes, sausage, shrimp, and egg. It did not disappoint. I'm sure their spicer versions were delicious as we got the mild spicy and it was perfect. Oh and the Oysters and shrimp cocktail were amazing! This is definitely mapped for us to stop at when we are coming through the area. Mr. Shuck whoever you are well done sir!!!

I can't rave enough about the service from the staff! I emailed and spoke directly to the management regarding my parents' 50th wedding anniversary dinner. They were in town for a long weekend and together with the staff, we pulled off a lovely evening. I asked if the evening could be made a little extra special with candles, flowers and a specific dessert. The staff said No Problem! After my parents sent me pictures, I knew the staff had gone well above what I expected. My parents had a wonderful meal, were given extra attention and loved it so much, they went back another night.

If you are ever in the area, STOP BY and treat yourself! Because they clearly know what southern hospitality is. :)

This place has truly earned its spot at #8 for the best seafood in GA. It was delicious. There was a bit of a wait, but that was expected. The service was great, and the environment was perfect for finger lickin and lip smackin seafood. They even give you a bowl of warm soapy lemon water to clean your hands. ❤

Fantastic seafood dinner in Brunswick. Ordered the raw oysters, crawfish boil, and snow crab legs. All were excellent and wanted to drink the garlic butter sauce.
Extras- 2 sample shrimp for our first visit, a bib to keep clothes clean, and a bowl of warm water/soap and a towel to clean hands after.

Everything was delicious. Had a party of 8. The table was ready upon arrival and Kimberly our server was on top of everything. We all enjoyed our meals. We will return.

Finally made it to Mr. Shuck's Seafood! Travelled from Florida just to try it out! I was not disappointed. The food, the service, the atmosphere were top notch! I ordered the Sampler Feast and yes it was a feast. Seasoned to perfection! Also enjoyed a special mixed drink, spiked lemonade, made fresh! Definitely will make this trip again!

Food was hot and fresh the drinks were definitely on point. I ordered fried flounder, Cole Slaw, and Fried Okra and Hush puppies (shh puppies) which was hot and delicious. The atmosphere, cleanliness, and servers are ALL an asset to the restaurant community. Great place.

Growing up in the South and right on the coast, I'm no stranger to good fresh seafood, especially crabs. I'd seen Mr. Shucks advertised a couple of times on Facebook, so I decided to give it a try. My daughter and I arrived around 5:45/ 6:00 PM on a Saturday, which seemed to be the perfect time because they started filling up very quickly thereafter. They do have an outside eating area for those who prefer that option.

The restaurant is very clean and modern. We were seated right away, and our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. She asked if it was our first time. We both said yes, and they gave each of us a free sample of their garlic shrimp, which was very good. We were starving, and everything on the menu looked good, but the waitress never rushed us and answered all of our questions. We finally settled on the Mr. Shucks Feast, the Mr. Shucks Feast for our main courses and an order of fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. The appetizer came out pretty quick. I will say the tomatoes were not the best I've ever had. They were decent. I personally like my FGT sliced very thin with a very seasoned batter and homemade ranch dressing. These were not nasty at all, just not my favorite.

Not too long after our food arrived and it was good. I just wished mine was a little spicy. I ended up substituting my sausage for additinal corn. Not a drop was left on our plates when we were finished except the tomatoes. Our waitress came to check on us numerous times, which I really appreciated. She also kept our drinks refilled without asking.

I believe I paid around $90 - 95 for our food and drinks plus tip. I would definitely return. In fact, I've already made plans to visit again soon with a friend. Check them out and be patient.

3 years ago I ate here. On my way back from Florida to NC I had to stop and get me a Miss. Shucks platter. I live in Wilmington so I’m surrounded with seafood restaurants. Since I eat at Mr. Shucks seafood I have wanted or craved anything else. This is the best restaurant on the EAST COAST! If you don’t love their food then something is seriously wrong with you.

Amazing experience! Everything was great from the food, to the waitress, to the service. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. We traveled all the way from Nashville, TN on business and will definitely be back when we are here again.

This was our mother/daughter outing for my goddaughter & I and it end up being an Absolutely Grand day, 100% on point!
The Atmosphere, our Server Kimberly who treated us with such Courteous and Kindness with a smile and patience. Mr. Schucks even came out and spoke with a smile, checking to see if we were ok (at the time we didn't know that was him)..... and then the Seafood arrived, the flavor, the sauce, the freshness, the temperature; the taste made it worth every mile we drove from Florida. Kimberly started us off with a sample and that woke up the taste buds and nothing served on our platter disappointed us. We had none, absolutely no complaints!
We even chose to sit outside and enjoy the breeze around 1:30 and Kimberly was so attentive to us.
We shall travel there again, Mr. Schucks seafood ranks top shelf above the rest and this is from 2 seafood eaters. This was a great experience of Seafood Superb; that I consider "Excellence Aw Schucks"; I think I have found the hidden seafood jewel, tucked away in Brunswick, GA.
Thanks to the entire staff and the establishment of Mr. Schucks, with special kudos to Kimberly our server for an experience that far exceeded our expectation in every area.

Some of the best seafood we have ever had. Our server (Katie?) was amazing - kind and knowledgeable. Shrimp, crawfish, catfish, and amazing garlic butter sauce. You can't forget the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer.

Wow, go now! Great meal, great service, one of the best values in Brunswick for seafood, shrimp, crab, fish, and more. I had the Shrimp dinner which was battered and fried. Very good. I'll try them blackened next time. The fried corn on the cob was delicious, the hush puppies were good, and the battered potatoes were steaming hot and very good. The final bill was reasonable, I would have paid more for the plates they served, this is not a shack in the wall. Great service, too, very friendly. I ordered drinks and they brought out a buttered-garlic shrimp to try - a chef's tasting? I haven't had one of those from a $$+ restaurant in like, ever. Thursday night, it was packed. The word is out, or I'm just late. I'll be back. Enjoy!
