For $22 I got a T-Bone, 2 sides + a craft beer on draft! So delicious & a bargain. Staff is friendly & relaxed.
Lighting is low, but oil lamps at each table are the perfect touch.
Safe place for single folks wanting a solitary drink or meal, too.

Awesome place. 👌 food came out hot and quick. We got the Brussel sprouts, Swiss steak sandwich and a chicken salad. All were delicious. Music was great too.

This is a MUST if you're in the area!
We were interested in a dog-friendly restaurant and came across this hidden gem on google
Service was beyond excellent very friendly wait staff.
Fried Deviled Eggs? Whaaat??? You can't miss out on this experience let me tell ya, we tried it all, couldn't help ourselves. Fried Brussel Sprouts seasoned to perfection..Oh did I tell you about their Pierogis? Man oh Man, Philly cheese steak and the 2nd flavor was cheese and onion, both equally delicious.
We ordered wings and fries with their blackberry bourbon bbq sauce WOW is all I can say!! The ranch is on point, the fries were Legit, (wingstop you have Hella competition up here in North Carolina),

The drinks were strong can't remember the names but definitely worth it

I'd come back to Asheville just to eat here again

Came here last night for the first time. We got the elk burger (local), classic burger (Angus), fries and drinks. The burgers were juicy and tasty. Fresh ingredients. Homemade pickle slices. Nice craft beer list. The staff was nice and attentive. Multiple TV's going with sports. Sandwiches, salads and burgers on the menu. Clean bathrooms. A good spot!

I had eaten there previously and really enjoyed their Cobb Salad which they happily substituted grilled chicken for the fried chicken. It was incredibly delicious! Wanting to support this local joint as much as possible, I took my kids there during supper time. They were a little bit nervous with the bar atmosphere, but soon relaxed with the friendly service and incredible food! We had the Brussel Sprouts and Fried Devil Eggs for appetizers, then the Classic Hamburger, the Beyond Burger, the Special of the day wings (it may have been whiskey cheerwine? - and they were large, juicy and incredibly delicious!). GO SUPPORT THIS BAR/RESTAURANT! Full menu until 1am EVERY NIGHT! YAY!

So glad we stopped in here for dinner. The ambiance is unique and colorful, and our server was exceptionably friendly. The burger I had was great, and the French toast dessert was AMAZING.

We arrived about 3 hours late to Asheville from Atlanta and figured our only option would be a fast food drive-through as we made our way into Tennessee. Instead we did a little research and found the Barrelhouse was open late (until 1am) and served bar food. When we arrived, we were greeted outdoors by what I assume are the regulars, all very friendly. We sat at the bar and were instantly greeted and brought water and menus by the friendly bartender. I ordered a mule and the burger with hand cut fries and my boyfriend ordered the wings over fries. Both meals were great. The burger bun was soft, the meat well seasoned and cooked, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. The fries were SO GOOD! They were thick cut but still crispy and hot, not soggy and greasy like some hand cut fries can get. My boyfriend enjoyed the wings and said they were flavorful. In the end, we were glad our delayed flight led us on our journey to the Barrelhouse and will recommend to anyone visiting Asheville or passing through.

Ladies and gentlemen…this is how you cook lemon pepper wings! Hands down the best flavor I’ve ever had with lemon pepper. If the cook could go teach wing places how-to that would be great. And great beer choices! Always impressed

Such a cool spot! Been here just a few times, but every time it doesn’t disappoint! It’s definitely a vibe, dimmed lights, various music, and surprisingly phenomenal food!
Let’s just say Erin runs this place! She was wonderful, wasn’t annoying, yet knew exactly when to come up and not make us wait! Over all very satisfied , and would recommend! And they are open super late, if you’re wanting a late snack or drink!!

It's a weird spot for a great little bar. You're not sure whether you want to go in at first, but go for it, the stamp is friendly and food and service is terrific. We had awesome wings and a chicken sandwich and the beers were fairly priced with good variety.

If you're looking for a solid, no frills bar and restaurant where you can get a good drink and amazing food, this is the place. The service is great, the tap selection is diverse, and the food is fantastic.

Great place with great food. A darkly lit pub with fantastic food. My son and I were in town to paddle a river and found this place on the internet and thought we’d give it a try, and man o man am I glad we did. The food is uniquely homemade and not your every day run of the mill fare. The pierogis were definitely the star of the show and highly recommended. Prices were reasonable and the service was fantastic. The first night of our stay, they were medium busy but the service was attentive and thorough. The third night of our stay we got there early and they packed out before we left, again the service being highly attentive and in point. I was very impressed with this place and it was one of the most memorable highlights of the trip.

Place looks a bit run down on the outside, but I promise you will not be disappointed with the food and beverage. Everything was or seemed to be hand-made in shop! My fries were still excellent hours later from my doggie box at room temp! Not your typical dive bar food! There were at least 15+ takeout orders, either personal or GrubHub, etc that occurred in the hour we were there at 11pm. The locals sure know this place is awesome! A few miles drive north of downtown Asheville, but well worth it. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Vegan friendly menu, but above all - the service was exceptionally excellent and the entire atmosphere of the place (including the regular patronage) is very neighborly and inviting. If you're looking for a hole in the wall that makes you feel like you're a part of the Asheville community, go to this wonderful place.

Didn’t get a chance to dine in today but the to-go Caesar salad I ordered was fantastic and the bartender super friendly. Atmosphere was playing on the speakers and the bar had a cool locals vibe. I will definitely be returning!
