This has become one of our favorite restaurants and this is our 3rd time. We wanted to try something we had not had before but to our disappointment, the 2 items we wanted they were out of. Turns out, even at 7 o’clock on a Saturday evening our server Ale, informed us there were 4 dishes not available. We still enjoyed the dishes we did end up choosing. Not sure how you run out of steak or veal in a French restaurant, but what we did have was very good. The server, Ale always gives outstanding service and the desserts are fantastic.

Where to start, we had an amazing experience dining here and the food didn’t disappoint at all. The chef is always checking in on tables to make sure the food and service is up to par. From the appetizers to main course everything had us commenting on how flavorful the dishes were. The beef Wellington and steak tartare were some of our favorites. See photos for captions of all of the dishes we enjoyed. We will definitely be back!

Excellent food and service. Waiter very professional and attentive. Warm and inviting ambiance. Beef Wellington was prepared very well and was tasty. Rack of Lamb was also prepared perfectly. Will definitely return. Just be conscious this is a white tablecloth, fine dinning restaurant and the entrees are priced accordingly.

I went to Tardif’s for my wife’s Birthday and it was outstanding! The food was incredible and the service impeccable.

Ariana was very attentive and we loved that they customized our dessert for the occasion. Additionally, the birthday card we received on our arrival was a tasteful and thoughtful touch.

We will be returning without a doubt!

excellent experience. the staff was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. Drinks were well made, and the beef wellington was one of the best I've ever had.

I would highly recommend this restaurant and its staff. I will definitely come again when back in San Antonio for work.

We recently celebrated my ladies Birthday at Tardif's, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Chef Jean Tardif, Chef Chris Garza and the outstanding staff made the evening truly special with their attention to detail and culinary expertise. Thank you to our attentive and hospitable server(s) who ensured that our experience was seamless and enjoyable. Their warmth and professionalism added to the overall ambiance, making our evening truly memorable.

We started our dining experience with an appetizer of Raclette cheese paired with prosciutto. The Raclette is served tableside and flambe'd which I feel is a very nice touch, but especially for a special occasion. We also had a couple of cocktails, the Mystique Marfa and Smoked Maple Old Fashioned that were very delicious.

For our main courses, we indulged in the Veal Chop Cordon Bleu and the Beef Wellington with sides of Heirloom Carrots and Pork Belly Brussels Sprouts. These dishes exemplified balance and sophistication, and spoke to the meticulous care and effort that goes into every aspect of crafting these meals.

For dessert, we enjoyed a classic crème brûlée, which was creamy and smooth with a perfectly caramelized sugar crust. As we were celebrating a birthday, the staff surprised us with a complimentary slice of the most decadent and delicious chocolate cake. It was rich, moist, and incredibly satisfying, making the perfect end to a fantastic meal.

All in all, our dining experience at Tardif's was unforgettable, thanks to the amazing team at Tardif's. I have a ton of respect for the hard work and dedication. Thanks again to Chef Chris Garza for the invite. We look forward to returning and indulging in more of Tardif's culinary delights for years to come!

Special thanks to Executive Chef Chris Garza and our server Mia or Mya (I hope this was her name). They both were very personable and service was top notch from the moment we sat down. Small gestures but a very big reason for why I'll be coming back very soon.

Amazing dining experience! We've been meaning to come to Tardif's for some time now and we're so glad we did. Everything from the neatly appointed interior of the restaurant to the quality of the food and the exquisite nature of the service was perfection. We were expertly taken care of by server Celeste. We started off with two cocktails - I had the Solar Flare and my wife had the La Poire Martini - both delicious (I really liked the spicy kick of the Solar Flare). We then moved on to some PEI oysters and then to the halibut carpaccio. The oysters were fresh and paired great with the house mignonette. But the halibut carpaccio was amazing! I then had the steak frites and my wife enjoyed the grilled octopus. My steak was cooked to perfection. The grilled octopus was the best octopus we've ever had (either in the US or in Europe). We finished with espresso martinis and called it a night. We will surely be going back. This is a gem of a French restaurant and frankly one of the best spots in all of San Antonio for a great date night meal. Highly recommend!

Celebrated my dad’s 89th birthday dinner, here. Everything was pure perfection. Our server, Savannah was so delightful and recommended a great wine and entrees. We started with the smoked old fashioned. Probably the best in the city. We all had the onion soup for our appetizers. Our entrees were the lobster risotto, the duck, the rack of lamb and the mussels with French fries. We split the chocolate cake and the strawberry cake among 4 people for dessert. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend!!

The serene atmosphere set the stage for a delightful evening, made even more special by our attentive server, Victoria.

We shared the bone marrow as an appetizer, and we each order a beef wellington - one with the lobster tail add-on and a bernaise sauce, and the other with the foie gras addd-on (which also paired very well with the maple old-fashioned!)

With impecable service and outstanding food, we are already planning our return!

We had a great 1st time experience here. Service was phenomenal, the food was amazing, and the ambience was pretty intimate. The pear tarte was the only one we were not thrilled about since it was more of a cobbler and it took a while to come out....other than that, definitely cravings satisfied!

Hands down one of the best restaurants in San Antonio. We ate ourselves senseless. Wonderful menu, food, service. I can’t believe I’m just discovering this place.

Great ambiance. Beautifully decorated with relaxing music playing. Not overly loud. Server Jon M was phenomenal. Made us feel very welcome with his insight, exemplary service and attention to detail. We tried the escargot as the appetizer. The tastes burst on your tongue. For entrees we had the Veal Cordon Bleu and the Steak eu Frites cooked perfectly with heirloom carrots and brussel sprouts. For dessert, the Croissant bread pudding and Pear Tarte were oversized and so very tasty. Had extra to take home to nibble on later. Highly recommend reservations and there is a dress code in place. Will definitely be back to try additional offerings on the menu. Great place for date nights, anniversaries or a special celebrations!!!

This is my go to restaurant anytime I'm in San Antonio. I had made reservations the week prior. We were seated promptly. Our Waiter took care of us better than Family. We had the Escargot, Pea Soup, Short Rib Risotto and for dessert, Pear Tarte Tatin. The Food was hot and delicious. The dessert was amazing! When in San Antonio DO NOT pass this resturant by.

My wife and I visited Tardiff’s for our first time last night and I cannot say enough positive comments about the experience and meal. The ambiance, service, menu and meal were all on point; everything was perfect. We had the raclette, oysters (so fresh), endive salad, Beef Wellington and fresh bread. We also had the lobster Mac and it was divine. We will definitely return for another special meal and are so happy we found this gem. Greg the bartender took care of every detail and was attentive and fun.

It’s been a while since we’ve wanted to visit and try the famous Beef Wellington here @tardifs_sa. We finally made reservations through Open Table and visited. Found out that social hour was only at the bar area until 7pm so we sat there.

David (bartender) took such good care of us, answering my many questions since it was our first visit. Hubby and I had their social hour drinks, hubby with the margarita, and me with the Kressman Bordeaux. Dad had Fresh Lemonade. For social hour, there were small plates only served at the bar area. We had the Short Rib Poppers, Scallop Carpaccio (my favorite!), and the complimentary Tartare Bites. All very tasty! We started with the Smoke Duck with Pear Salad. So good! Hubby and I shared the Beef Wellington. The pastry was perfection. My first bite of the beef wasn’t too great but it did get better. We added the Foie Gras, definitely would get the appetizer portion next time. Dad had the Branzino and we all shared the side of Potato Pave. The TV had different sceneries with the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, almost transporting you there. The food was worth the 1 hour drive from Stone Oak.

Excellent experience. The food was wonderful. The service was excellent and a wonderful atmosphere. Mostly meat dishes and I am sure they were delicious. I had a made up vegetarian dish that was composed of a collection of sides which was delicious. We finished off with desserts which were huge. If you do get dessert plan on sharing or be prepared to take them home with you. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Overall the place was amazing! The music was slightly loud. I had a table for 9 and I felt like I was yelling. The service was good. The waiter was very polite and friendly. The food overall was good. The following plates needed more flavor. I got the Beef Wellington for dinner. Grilled Branzino with garlic and caper sauce. This one definitely lacked flavor. Slight more slat to be honest. The scallops were my favorite. Great time overall.
