I was farm sitting in the area and had the pizza 4-5 years ago by luck of it being 3 minutes away. Farm sitting here again and remembered them and how good it was.
Walked in around 5pm on Sunday and asked for a pizza in an hour. What a delightful guy. I bartended my whole life and I can tell he is a hard and honest restaurant worker. I enjoyed talking with him and wish him the best. I’ve read some reviews that say he’s all alone and pizza to go only. Damn, I’m retired but could put some hours in with a pro like that.

I lived in New York and always loved pizza made in a Baker’s Pride oven. Then I bought a boat, kept it Herrington Harbor South, and discovered this place. They too have a Baker’s Pride oven.

The owner is an artist, and his pizza is world class. I’ve eaten pizza in five Italian cities, and this competes with them all. Perhaps one of the best I’ve ever had.

Ignore the reviews about customer service nonsense. It’s like complaining Pablo Picasso didn’t say please when he asked you to move into the light while he painted your portrait.

This brilliant artisan has mastered his craft. And that craft is pizza. Bella Italia is the best pizza south of New York. Period! Everyone nearby has an obligation to support this place.

Best pizza I've had in the entire state of Maryland. This place is great because it's nested in a quiet area off the beaten path. You can grab a quick bite to eat, or have anything made to order the way you like it. There menu has a lot of options and everything is authentic.

I wish I had what it takes to help run this pizza place with this poor man. I feel so bad for him. Please bring this place back. We need a go fund me. Can you even do that? This is authentic pizza. Please let's get it back to what it was. What a sad thing. We need this food over what other options we have.

I walked in to order a pizza. The place is very dark. The owner was nice. He informed me that it is carry out only and it will take 30 mins. The pizza was good. Very thin crispy crust with an ample amount of cheese.

This pizza is an Italian delicacy. 5 stars! Ignore the look of the restaurant. The pizza is amazing. Perfect crust, fresh ingredients. Do takeout or eat it outside.

When I first walked in I was a little confused if it was seat yourself or if they sat you at a table. The lady behind the counter instructed me to sit where I pleased and to come up to the counter when i was ready to order. Certainly a different style of dining but I was solely curious about the food as this day was National Pasta Day. My first look was towards the specials of which I chose the Chicken Gorgonzola. This dish came with a house salad that contained cucumbers, onions, olives, peppers, and tomatoes with house dressing on the side. The Chicken Gorgonzola contained butter white wine sauce, prosciutto, gorgonzola, cream sauce over a bed of spaghetti. I paired this dish with a glass of white wine and was no disappointed by any means. For dessert they had an Oreo cheesecake that was the perfect size and the flavor was absolutely amazing. I'm giving this place a 5 star review solely on the food and I will certainly be back for more in the very near future.

This is the best pizza in Maryland. I've been coming here for the past 10yrs, so sad after Covid - entire staff disappeared and this place went from an Italian restaurant to strictly pizza. That said, the owner works his butt off so that we can continue to eat the best pizza!

This is true pizza. My first time here, as I was just traveling through. Fantastic freshly made pizza. I'm sure it used to be a great full-Italian restaurant, but now it appears they only sell pizza. I don't know the circumstances behind that, but I can vouch for the pizza!! Affordably priced as well.

Yo yo yo, call, order a pizza, show up, pay, grab your pizza, and bounce. No menu. The gentleman who runs the joint is nice, and can be friendly, but not in the way you expect him to be -- which should be a reminder to reserve expectations in life, in general, ya know. Enjoy the pizza! It's good, very much a New-York-like slice. Crust isn't thick at all -- it's foldable. Yummy times.

Such great pizza! It’s nice to have a cute little Italian restaurant in a small town and it’s the best! I also love that the people who work there are actually Italian 😃

Update: After coming here for a while you can’t deny this is the best pizza in the area. The owner/chef is from Italy and is running everything on his own. It’s carry out only and only pizza. Enjoy!

Get insulted, strain to understand the Italian accent, soak up the hand gestures, and LOVE the pizza!
Perfectly, like real Italian pizza.
This chewy hand-thrown crust with thin toppings of delicious real ingredients was not greasy or too salty like so many other places are.
(We had the Mediterranean and Pesto Chicken) 😘👌

Today I was craving some legit NY style pizza and La Bella Italia came to mind. I grabbed a quick lunch there a couple of years ago and that was good as I am writing this review I am eating the best NY style I’ve had….ever. Flavorful sauce and an airy and light thin crust. Highly recommended!

Ordered the Caprese pizza and the White pizza for the family tonight. Far beyond blessed to have amazing pizza here. 30 minutes for pick up. Easy to order. Great experience with pick up, friendly, fast, and upbeat. If you enjoy pizza and are in the area - this is the only place.

The staff are very kind and bend over backwards to ensure the patrons have a wonderfully prepared casual dining experience. This little restaurant brings a cozy feel with fantastic Italian food. It's so nice to have a good quality restaurant in our little town of Friendship.
