Samurai Japanese Cuisine

I will start off with the word "wow". We arrived to eat around 2:45pm. We were seated in a booth. I went to wash my hands first, and the restrooms were very clean. Our server greeted us in a timely fashion. Our server was very helpful ,attentive, and very accommodating. She helped me with my order because I'm not really a sushi eater. I ordered the "yum yum" which was so delicious. As I was eating, all I could say was omg. My friends and I enjoyed our food from the appetizers we ordered to the bar drinks. I ordered a cocktail called the bikini. It was delicious. The atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming. All the employees were super friendly that we encountered. This place is definitely a gem in this town and it made me want to visit again. I definitely became a sushi eater by enjoying the food and great service here. Yum yum yum is all I can say.

This was our second visit here. We are always on the hunt for authentic ramen around the coast. Before this visit, Miss Thai Ramen had our top vote. Samurai's Tonkotsu Ramen took that spot right away. The broth was deliciously rich, yet balanced. The marinated egg and bigger chunks of chashu pork just brought everything together. We also ordered the Mississippi Roll. I like the simplicity of it since it enables you to get a clean taste of the salmon. The Baked Salmon appetizer left us wanting more too- a generous amount of crab meat, wrapped in a perfectly cooked salmon filet on a bed of greens. It was a meal in itself. Will definitely keep coming back here!

One of my favorite lunch stops when I’m in D’Iberville. Tucked away in the same shopping center as Academy sports, it’s easy to miss this place when you’re driving by - but it’s worth the stop!

The greeting with a warm towel is top notch! And you can’t beat the lunch specials - my favorite is the sushi and sashimi which comes with soup and salad 🍣 🥗 🥣 .

Whether it’s for lunch or dinner - next time you find yourself shopping in the promenade, make a stop at Samurai!

One of the best options for sushi and other Asian cuisine with a classier vibe. Service is top notch and attentive from the get. They offer hot towels to clean your hands before your meal, and are quick with refills or to offer a suggestion. Love the tuna tartare with quail eggs and black caviar as an appetizer. Huge fan of the yellowtail rolls and fried shrimp tempura as well.

We were pleasantly surprised by Samurai Japanese Cuisine! We stopped by while charging our Tesla and decided to give it a try. We started with the veggie tempura, which tasted great and set the tone for the rest of our meal.

The sushi rolls were fresh and delicious, and the kids absolutely loved their bento boxes. Despite being in a strip mall, the atmosphere was cool and inviting. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff making our dining experience even better.

Overall, Samurai Japanese Cuisine exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality Japanese food and great service!

I have been to Samurai’s several times. They never fail to disappoint me. I love everything about this place— the friendly servers, warm hand towels, atmosphere, and fresh food. I typically get a teriyaki bento box each time I go. Every time I come I get extra ginger dressing on my salad. It is so refreshing and rich! Not like any other restaurants I have been to here on the coast. I have never been disappointed every time I come. The staff is so friendly and they greet you every time. The atmosphere is very nice. I always feel relaxed waiting for my food. My partner always gets their sushi, sashimi, or nigiri. This is really one of the only places he loves because of their freshness. I will probably never stop coming here. Plus their lunch special is the best price on the coast! You get lots of filling food for an amazing price. I hope it never changes!

This was one of my favorite spots when I served at Keesler AFB. I introduced my love to it yesterday and let's say this will be our spot. Bc today we went again for lunch.

Clean, even had a changing station in the bathroom. Miso soup was good and Sushi Bento a fair price and delicious

Had a very good experience dining at Samurai. Went for lunch and they have good lunch specials. They give you soup and salad. I got beef teriyaki and it was great. My husband got the chicken and steak hibachi lunch. Really enjoyed it. If in the area, I would definitely go back.

Let's start with the reason you're here - the food. This location has a VERY large menu. Lots of variety to pick from. And of the ~30ish times we've been here, we've yet to have a bad dish.

The service has always been on point. Recently, Dawn in particular has been a regular server of ours and she is great. Attentive, accommodating, helpful, polite - all the good points. Like the food, we have never had a bad Service experience.

Atmosphere is also nice. As a whole, the location is always good. Bathrooms are clean, cleanliness as a whole is kept up, all good stuff. The music choice is my fav - low piano covers of classics/hits. A nice choice, and played at just the right level.

The last thing I wanna hit on, and this is primarily THE reason I'm posting this now (in addition to Dawn's great customer service - you rock!) is the menu. The menu has pictures. For just about every single food item they serve. Every plated fish, every sushi roll, every sashimi, every appetizer... you get the idea. To be able to read the ingredients and try to decide if you want it or not... to then be able to see a picture of the dish? SO many other restaurants need to offer this. Every dish, put in an HD color picture. It has sold me on dishes quite a few times.

This Samurai is great. Love coming here, and will continue to!

I can't remember my waitresses' name, but she was about average height, really cute and very attentive! Just for clarity, she was a white girl.. hopefully, you guys give her an early raise! She has only been working there for a month, and she seemed to truly embrace her job. I give her 2 👍🏽's up and a high five. If you are going to congratulate her, to make sure its the right employee, ask her if she had a customer that made a joke about the Miso soup and what the joke was. 🤣 Next time I'm in town, I will definitely stop by in hopes that she's there to take my order. I went on Saturday, June 29th.

Great happy hour specials and delicious food! Our server was really nice as well. The restaurant itself was classy and very clean.

Boyfriend got the Kim chi ramen, it was absolutely amazing. I got the spicy tuna poke bowl and a happy hour sushi, we started with the katsu chicken. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was great and it’s a very pretty restaurant.

Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to God, but this restaurant in particular has a dish that I like called Gonzu. It's something Americans call 'pot stickers'.
These things are served with some unique special sauce that makes each bite mouthwatering.

The Shrimp tempura was delicious, crunchy and great portion size. The Pork Ramen noodle bowl was also delicious and huge. Our server was very friendly and service was quick. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Great interior (not too light, not too bright, just right). We were greeted by a friendly hostess, who promptly seated us near a window. The waitress was very polite and patient with us, since it was out first time there. She didn't seem pushy at all when offering a desert. The food was amazing with the exception of tap water, but then again, that's outside if their control.
The 2nd time around was even better than the first. Highly recommend this place, if you're in the mood for Japanese or asian in general.

Me and the wife love this place. They have good sushi and Yakisoba. The servers are always nice and helpful.

Visited here because it was near Tesla Superchargers.

Grilled Octopus is a must try item.
Sushi rolls are awesome.

Really enjoy eating here, second time and it was great. Service is great, and food is even better. Great plate presentation, and tons of flavor in everything! Try the Ramen!

I somehow always want sushi when it’s midday closing break time for the other restaurants, so I frequent Samurai a lot. It has everything you desire: raw fish, poke, happy hour, hibachi, etc. Their fish quality satisfies me and I always leave full and happy.
