Smoke BBQ

We had the best experience at Smoke BBQ yesterday. We were warmly welcomed when we walked in the door and explained how to order etc. We received our drinks and food promptly and everything was delicious! We were all raving about our food. Portions were generous and we couldn't decide what we liked the best because everything was amazing. We had fun trying all the different BBQ sauces. We appreciated being checked on to see how everything was and if we needed anything. We spend summers in Maine and have frequented many restaurants but this was definitely one of our overall best experiences this summer. We can't wait to go back!!!

We loved this place so much the first time we came back again to celebrate a birthday! We got ourselves the Smokasbord with some sweet teas. Took the leftovers with us. The service was stellar! I let our server know we were celebrating a birthday so I was able to capture the surprise on my phone when they brought out a Whoopie pie! Thank you for being so thoughtful! Best BBQ we've had here in Maine. We absolutely love the sides too. We had the potatoes au gratin, Boston baked beans, and cornbread. I added a side of Mac and Cheese as well. The atmosphere is great, bar on the far side and tables in the middle. There is outdoor seating as well. Looking forward to our next trip!

Had been traveling almost 3 weeks and wanted a place to sit outside with our dogs and enjoy a simple meal and drink. We were blown away by Smoke BBQ. Chase greeted us outside and explained the order process. When we asked about gluten free for one of us, he told us everything except the mac and cheese and cornbread were gluten free. All four of us had exceptional meals, although the burnt ends may have won for best in show. The food alone would have made me want to write about our visit, but the service and atmosphere outside were exceptional as well. A beautiful firepit looked like real logs, but burned without needing to add more fuel. The tables were spaced well apart with ample shade. And the service was fast but not in your face. Gave fantastic suggestions about options for food and drink. The perfect combination for a perfect experience. Alas, I must give one complaint. The food was so good, the dogs did not get even a bite from us. Visit Smoke BBQ. It is well worth it.

We stayed in York Beach for a week and wanted something different for our last night. While a 25 minute drive it was so worth it. We tried Burnt Ends, Pulled Pork, Ribs, corn bread, fries and ) potatoes au gratin.. The food was fantastic. All the meats were great as is.. and they have a selection of sauces to go with them. Our favorite was the brown KC style.
It's a very laid back atmosphere with friendly staff. We would definitely visit again next time we are up this way.

My family always loves a meal at SMOKE. Great casual atmosphere, friendly staff. Was pleased with the SMOKE BBQ take on their Lobster Roll special.

We stopped here for lunch after sightseeing in Kennebunkport. The staff was on their game and very friendly. The food was great! I had the Smashburger and fries (delicious!) and locally made root beer, and my husband had the double meat with fries. Portions size was decent. Everything was so delicious and there were no leftovers, lol. I highly recommend if your in the area.

Delicious BBQ. Try the brisket or the "burned ends brisket". The meat is moist and tasty. The sides of corn bread, baked beans, and coleslaw are delicious -- not sweet as at many BBQ restaurants.

The food is delicious! We hit this on the first night of vacation, and we are thinking we will come back this week! Pulled pork is delicious without any sauce! But all the sauces are delicious too! Ribs, brisket, links, sides, all good. Kids loved the grilled cheese and the corn bread.

Great smoked wings and fries. Went with buffalo sauce. The only thing is next time I will order extra sauce as they were dryer then I normally like.

Love everything about this place after our first time coming here. You don't have to just come to Maine for Lobster...the Brisket is amazing and the different sauces to try are an added bonus...top this off with a fun environment and excellent staff. We will definitely be back.

I'm from Central Texas and Smoke has the best BBQ I've had in New England in the 20 years I've been in the region.

Loved the baby back ribs and smoked half chicken. All the sides were good too.

It was great.. the food amazing..cornbread and brussells spouts to die for .. brisket delicious and all the homemade sauces.. beans are fantastic too!! We sat at the bar and Jackie was terrific.. good conversation and made spectacular drinks!! Fun spot!.. Josh the owner is all hands on which is nice to see.

Best BBQ EVER!!! Juiciest brisket and burnt ends you’ve ever had! Ribs are so good you’ll cry. All housemade sauces and delicious recipes. Cornbread is delicious and the perfect accompaniment to any meal. Staff was pleasant and atmosphere great!

My wife & I found this restaurant last fall when we were here. Unfortunately, it wasn't open for lunch at the time, so we were determined to return to try it out on our next visit this spring. We were not disappointed and enjoyed some excellent barbecue. We tried the ribs, brisket & burnt ends. All were excellent with a beautiful smoked taste and perfectly cooked. Smoke has a few different sauces, so there is something for everyone. Service was friendly and prompt. Our server was also able to get my smoking questions answered for me. We definitely will be back on our next visit to Kennebunk!

I'm happy we found this fast casual option in an area full of formal sit-down restaurants. Everyone enjoyed their meals, my 6yr old included. We were in and out pretty quickly and off to the beach! Will definitely return.

Best BBQ!! Everything was absolutely delicious, and was brought to our table within 10 mins (we were there at 3p on a Sunday, so definitely slow time). The brisket and ribs were PERFECTION, the pulled pork was delicious and the sides were too (that cornbread 👌🤩).

We walked into this place and we're kind of put off at first. You order your meal at the counter then sit down. Our meal came out very quick on a baking tray. Well let me tell you, this was one of the best BBQ we've had in a while. I had burnt ends that were smothered in a BBQ sauce and pulled pork, cole slaw and potatoes au gratin. The meat just melted in your mouth. My wife had the burnt ends, ribs, baked beans and corn bread. Out of this world. I tried her corn bread and it was moist, not dry. I will definitely be going back here when I'm up in the area. You can't judge the place by the way you order your food. Yes I know southerners are used to this style of restaurant but in New England we aren't.

I go to Wells with friends every year and we went here in June 2023 for the first time. This place is a hidden gem in Maine! The food is fantastic (try the brisket, you will not regret it) as well as the atmosphere. The owner and chef came out and spoke with us about the business and all of the food he makes by hand. It is definitely on our list when we come back this year, we have not stopped thinking about it 😂. If you're local, passing through, or on vacation in Wells - add Smoke to your list of places to stop!

Found this place when we decided to take route 1 back to NH instead of 95 and man was it a nice find! Best BBQ I've had in NE (I'm a OK/CO transplant) and they even brought water out for our panting pup. 100% recommend if you're anywhere within an hour radius!

Awesome new spot in Kennebunk. The restaurant had a really fun atmosphere with vegetarian options. Be sure to try all of the home made hot sauces! Bartender was also super rad!
