If you need good quality bait then this is the place you go. I usually get a few lures and large minnows so I can target lots of different fish. They help you find what you are looking for and get you on the water quick. Be ready to talk because they treat you like family there even if it’s your first time shopping there.

I was visiting Tennessee for just a few hours... Needed to relieve a little stress from my drive. They were very helpful and friendly. They also gave me some info on a local spot to throw out a line. Great experience, will definitely stop through again on my travels.

Fantastic establishment! Loaded with not just all the good frisky live bait but also a wide range of tackle including rods and reels and specialty lures. Highly recommend.

I’m from out of town and the lady working l truly went above and beyond what I expect out of a tackle shop. They had an amazing selection of bait and hooks that are almost impossible to find at bigger sporting good stores. Also I was given hand written directions to a local fishing spot. I’ll always stop in here every time I’m in Chattanooga.

This is our favorite place to stop before fishing! We have been customers for many years and always will be. The fishing knowledge is unbeatable. They know the fish and what works. They are more than just a bait shop, they are more like family. We highly recommend them to everyone we know. From the first day we stepped foot in the shop with our small son until today (he's now 3 months from being a teenager), we have experienced so much encouragement and support for him. There is not a place around that is more knowledgeable about fishing and fishing in this area. We love Bass Pro, but are just a number there. At Jack's Bait & Tackle Shop, we are more like family/friends.

Friendly people, great selection and always good quality, fresh bait. I buy minnows here every week and sometimes several times a week and they're always fresh and lively. Bigger selection of live bait than anywhere else around plus they have frozen skipjack.

When I lived in TN I shopped here. Everyone was very pleasant and family oriented. If i had any questions they had no problem answering them. P.s. for the customer gripping about the smell, it's a BAIT shop not a florists shop. Anyway thank you for all the help and I recommend this shop to the rest of my family and friends still up that way.

I have been going to Jack's Bait and Tackle since I was a very young kid and through the generations of their family, they have become my own family since 1978. It is a great atmosphere, friendly and courteous service and as long as I am alive, I will always visit them for whatever I need. Great place to get minnows and worms for fishing. They been here for almost 54 I believe. You do need to wear a mask inside, which Is no problem. Great people also. A must go to for your live fishing need. Love the prices.

This tiny spot is a local icon. Unlike competitors they actually open when they state they're open, they have longer better hours, and the staff is like family from the first time you meet them. If you've been in there more than once then you're on a first name basis. FULLY stocked,
'80s and 90s prices and timeless service.

Best bait shop in Chattanooga! Even though I live in Cleveland, I always come to this bait shop when I am heading to the dam! I remember when Jack was still alive he would always be so kind and courteous! His daughter is doing a great job of taking care of the place now!
