Blue Hill Wildlife Nursery

I have been watching Ryan’s instruction videos on “You Tube” concerning planting, pruning & caring for bare root fruit trees & finally ordered 4-5 fruit trees from his nursery in Pennsylvania . They came the other day & were carefully packed & had detailed & complete instructions for planting . The trees were very healthy & pruned with vigorous roots as well. I planted them the same day & over the past few weeks have called Ryan many times to ask his advice & was always there to answer all of my questions. I’d highly recommend purchasing bare root trees from his company & nursery & definitely plan to do so next season as well.

I think Ryan's business at Blue Hill Wildlife Nursery is truly a local treasure. You cannot beat the service or the quality of the bareroot trees he delivers. Ryan is very knowledgeable and has a passion for the industry and the trees he sells. The quality of his trees has been WELL above anything I've received from other nurseries. Truly they are well above the average bareroot tree and I have purchased quite a plethora of bareroot trees. My dream is to someday own a property and to plant a wildlife orchard. Without a doubt I will use Blue Hill Wildlife Nursery trees to supply the trees.

Have ordered from Blue Hill Wildlife Nursery now for the past 3 years or so and I must say they provide the best quality trees I have ever purchased. Just received this years order Tuesday evening 3/13 and they were in the ground by Wednesday afternoon 3/14. Trees always arrive healthy and with a very good root system. I have yet to lose a tree and have ordered close to 30 pear, crabapples and apple trees. Ordering online can be daunting at times but gets better every year. Would recommend Blue Hill to anyone wanting to purchase trees.

Good quality trees! Ryan is also a great guy to deal with and will answer any questions you may have. Shipping is definitely pricey but well worth it!

I have purchased trees from Blue Hill for years and they have done very well. Love the way the trees are packaged. Also they are listed as two year old trees and they are very big and healthy. Great variety of trees that have greatly improved the deer habitat on my property. 5 star rating!

Iv bought alot of fruit trees over the years and have never seen root balls or bareroot trees these great before. I would highly recommend Blue Hill trees. We also had a baby delivery right around planting time. Ryan greatly worked with us and was able to move the shipping date to a time that worked around our schedule. Definitely going to be ordering more trees and can’t wait to get them in the ground! The wildlife is going to greatly appreciate these!

I have been ordering trees from Bluehill the last few years. The trees have always been extremely vigorous upon arrival and have thrived since planting. The customer service is also top notch including the high level of packaging during shipping.

I ordered 16 trees. I was very pleased with the quality of the tree and the root system. Ryan answers questions and answers calls/emails in a timely manner, if not the same day or the first time you call.

Hands down the best place to buy fruit trees for deer or for humans. Don’t let the name fool you, these are just as good or better than any online nursery for any creature that loves good fruit trees. Ryan knows what he is doing and knows how to treat his customers.

Ordering From Ryan at Blue Hill is something i look forward to every year! He has an amazing selection of unique trees that cover drop times throughout fall and winter. Growth rates have been amazing compared to any other bare root or store bought potted trees. He is easy to talk to and bounce ideas off of. I plant trees for wildlife but many of the trees have produced delicious fruit that my wife and kids enjoy picking. Just make sure you set a reminder for when he posts his inventory and know what you want so you dont miss out!

Bought a couple edible crabapples and a couple plums for human consumption. Trees were healthy looking and well packaged. The apple trees looked pretty root-bound, and I had to unwrap a root, but otherwise, I am happy with the experience.

Trees came packed well and very thick, healthy trees. Spotless coming out of the box, pruned well to fit into the box as well. Great customer service, shipped early for me on little notice. Fantastic company.

Ryan at Blue Hill has been extremely helpful during my whole tree purchase and planting process. I bought a small piece of hunting property in Washington CO PA in late 2022 and knew immediately that I wanted to plant some fruit trees. Via multiple emails, Ryan gave suggestions on species, helped with ordering, and directed me to his very informative Youtube videos on planting. After a warm winter in 2023, I requested moving up my tree shipping date, which was no issue at all for Blue Hill. Upon receipt of my trees, they were all in great healthy condition and are currently thriving in the ground. Very satisfied and will be adding more trees in the future. 5 stars and would definitely recommend Blue Hill Wildlife Nursery.

87% have little apples on them already and the rest are very healthy

Best in the business, if your looking to attract more deer and bigger bucks to your property. These are the trees you need, trees doubled in size the same year as planted. With all the varying drop times you can have fruit and nuts for your deer the whole way through hunting season.
