Very cool place! The service was outstanding, and the food was incredible. The bartender was so pleasant and attentive. The man in the kitchen preparing my food even came out to see how I thought it was. Highly recommend!

Had a great dinner, sat at the bar. Excellent service and food. 3 party busses showed up, the bar staff were rock stars. Weren’t flustered at all. Very impressed with the staff. All around great place.

Had the Cowboy burger. Very good. Thankfully they had a good brown ale on tap. My wife had the Grown up grilled cheese. That is something I'll likely try on the next stop. And at home.

My girlfriend and I ate there last night. We don’t eat out often but this was the best food at a restaurant that we have had since last year in Buffalo Wyoming. Costs were extremely reasonable and portions were large. I had the beef brisket dinner and girlfriend pulled pork. Bbq chicken wings nice and crispy. I would eat here all the time if I lived up North

We love their catch of the day sandwich (lightly fried tilapia). Good bun, with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and dill sauce. They have excellent beer batter fries and ceasar salad. They also make a good drink! Friendly, attentive service, too! Very picturesque looking out onto their deck. A GREAT upnorth bar/restaurant!

Delicious Eggs Benedict and Bloody Mary. Great food and service, plus the kids loved the arcade.
Loved this cozy Lake area restaurant!

Cowboys is a must in the Brainerd or Gull Lake area. Although the drive feels a little out of the way, this classic Gull Lake bar has the best cheese curds in the area by a long shot.

The food here is so good, unique and affordable. Must stop if you are in the area.

Great place to eat. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions easily.
The food was great and more than you could eat in one sitting.
Very friendly place, we will definitely be back.

Had dinner (possibly the best veggie burger - I subbed it into the cowgirl burger- and cheese curds in the state) on a crazy busy night because of the Frozen Fore festival. The staff really hustled and somehow managed to make you feel very cared for and not at all rushed (shout out to Aylah especially!). Huge portions, fairly priced. Leftovers were awesome the next day.

Visited again for lunch & had another great sandwich. Love their homemade slaw too. The cowboy s’mores sundae? OMG.

Do yourself a favor: eat here. And be nice to them- they’re working hard for you!

3/16/24 3:15 PM My daughter and I had dinner and what a blast the food was delicious and the waitress was absolutely amazing she was working alone and did a fantastic job. What a great place.

Food and service were fantastic. Some of the best burgers in the area.

Our first time visit. We walked in the door and the waitress welcomed us as if we were long time friends. I was pleasantly surprised the wild rice meatloaf dinner, special of the day, much better than I anticipated. Not a diner or bar meal, instead tasted as if made by a chef! Reasonbly priced. When back in town next year, a definite stop for dinner again. A new favorite.

We had walleye with rice pilaf and vegetables and Cesar salad and cheesecake. Everything was wonderful!

Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. 3 of the 6 of us had the Inferno burger. It was not super hot despite the name. Just right! And you can get any of their burgers as a quarter pound patty instead of the half pound!!! Our waitress was fun and very accommodating and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back to eat.

The barbeque pulled pork sandwich was great and my husband had the Walleye sandwich which he said was very good. He said the bun was almost too much for the size of the fish. Also had the cheese curds before dinner. The reason I gave service 3 stars was because there was only one server in our section and it took forever to get our cheese curds and she was desperately to wait on at least 6 other tables. Would definitely go back again.

Truly some of the best food around! I got a veggie burger and cheese curds and I haven't had that good of a meal in a very long time. Would eat here every day for sure.👍🏼

Cowboy's is a smaller bar/restaurant, but their food is really good. Especially their Friday night fish fry. They have a small game room for kids & staff was so nice. When our waitress was busy, the other came to check on us & start us with drinks. They did a fabulous job! They also have a good-sized outdoor patio in the summertime.

Our whole family loves this place. The food is consistently very good. They consistently have excellent fresh salads - often times in winter in Mn greens get slimy but cowboys is great. Other excellent food items. Fun games room to keep kids busy.
