Uncle Louie G's Italian Ice & Ice Cream

My family & I have been coming to Uncle Louie G’s spot here in Maywood for a few years. The Italian ice & ice cream selection is really great. All flavors are good and you won’t be disappointed regardless of choice. Favorite ice cream flavor is their coconut. One of the best I’ve ever had. They take cash or credit and the service is super friendly. They also have a quick to go window in case you want to make it a fast stop.

WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM! This is no doubt THE BEST Italian Ice experience I’ve ever had! The flavors are on point. Sizes are generous for the price. There is definitely something for everyone with the tremendous selection of Italian Ice and Gelato! They also have soft serve! Mix it up! The store is super cute and very clean and kept. They take cash and cards! There is seating inside if you want to take a break and a to-go window if you are on the go.
The cherry on top?…the awesome service! Extremely friendly, patient and expeditious. You will not be disappointed. #amazing

We found this hidden gem ice cream shop at the time we visited nearby seafood restaurant nearby. We saw there was a long line standing in front of its window. My friends mentioned it's one of the best ice creams in local. Therefore we had to taste it. I ordered one scoop of mint flavor and one scoop of blackberry flavor. It tasted so creamy and I could feel the freshness blowing on my face. Because we just came back from our European trip, the ice cream from this shop reminded me of the ice creams we ate in Europe.

My favorite flavor is the strawberry cheesecake ice cream! The service is always quick and the people working there are friendly. Make sure to bring cash. This is a cash only business.

I stop by Uncle Louie G's every time I'm in town, which is once or twice a year, and I am never disappointed. Service is quick and kind, and the Italian ice is very tasty! I love the variety of flavors; I try a new flavor every visit though always end up buying the peanut butter cookie dough. Their selection just can't be beat. I also like that the Italian ice is a little less sweet (IMO) than regular ice cream.

Best ice cream and italian ice around! Large flavor selection, prices are good and owners and staff are so friendly. It is the only place I will by my ice cream cakes for parties. I love having Uncle Louie G's in my neighborhood.

What a gem! We go here as soon as the weather picks up and look forward to taking the kids and seeing third eyes open up at all the flavors they constantly have on hand. All of the ices are made in house and they have something for everyone. Everyone in the shop is so friendly!

Unbelievably delicious Italian ices, great selection of flavors. My favorites are chocolate jelly ring and cannoli! Ice cream is amazing, best ice cream cakes too, way thicker and more rich than Dairy Queen and Carvell.

So glad to find this gem! Super delicious ice cream and Italian ices. Banana Splits, milkshakes, sundays and ice cream cakes. You name it you can get it here if it involves ice cream or Italian Ice. Super personable. What you love about a small business. Support them!

I love Uncle Louie's! All of their ices and ice creams are homemade and delicious. They will let you have plenty of samples. Cheap, but cash only. I bring all of my friends here!

I LOVE this place! They have ice cream, ice italian ices, creamy italian ices, & sugarless ices. The flavors are amazing & try are homemade. Forget having to choice where to go because this is the place to be! It's truly delicious! 1 table outside & a bunch inside. You must go.

I have been blessed by the dulce de leche ice cream. It’s a must have. The only down side to this place is that it’s cash only so obviously not for you if you go everywhere paperless. Do yourself a favor, go to an ATM and treat yourself
