Waverly Area Veterans Post (WAVP)

My niece found this venue and was able to have a very beautiful wedding here. It's it's very big and spacious and is in a easily accessible area and there is plenty of parking.

She had her wedding outside down on the riverfront and unfortunately there was boater that was with his wife and kids and thought that it was acceptable behavior to keep driving by loudly and increasing his speed with his kids being towed with a tow rope or skiing behind the boat and making sure that he went as close as he could to the area where the wedding was taking place.

I feel like that is completely unacceptable behavior because they saw that there was a wedding going on there and he made sure that he drove by there and was loud about it.

All of the staff at the VA was very helpful. They allowed us to use their kitchen in the basement to cook 30 boxes of pasta because they don't have a stove on the top level in their kitchen.

I would highly recommend this for events that you have going on.

Marty was PHENOMENAL!!! He checked in on us several times throughout the two days we were there, got us exactly what we needed, took the garbage out several times, VERY much appreciated.

Also, the boating incident was out of the control of WAVP and we completely understand that! I stand by what I said when I say I would HIGHLY recommend renting this facility for all of your needs!!!!*

Great venue! There are two spacious event spaces, a lovely view of the river, and overall a very well designed, clean, effective facility. The meal that was catered in was also excellent!

Great service and great food. We went there for New Year's Eve party and really had a great time thank you for the event. The prime rib was outstanding. Drink prices are reasonable and it's open to the public. The facility is very very nice you should go check it out.

Very modern building with full restaurant/bar and conference rooms. They have cheap drinks and great food. They have a very friendly staff.

Nice clean place. Lots of seating. Good bartenders. Ample parking. Coming back again.

Very nice venue for your celebrations. Nice big room we were in with beautiful windows and natural light. If your looking for a nice place to hold a get together and feel like you are in a very nice place I highly recommend checking it out.

My 4 year old had his Preschool Christmas Program here and there was punch and cookies afterwards. We had to ride in the cool elevator a couple of times as well! Great venue for a variety of events!

I celebrated my wedding here last week, and I've got to say, I couldn't have been happier with it. The manager, Sara, was incredibly helpful and willing to take some extra steps to make the event perfect. The building is beautiful, and the Patriots Hall is spacious with great lighting and a gorgeous view of the river. There's even a spot down the hill by the river that would be beautiful for a wedding ceremony (we were going to have ours down there, but the flood of 2016 ruined those plans). There is a large catering kitchen (no stoves or ovens), with two windows to the reception area, and they'll even set up a bar at one and staff it if you need. There's a movable dance floor, and a divider if you only need half the room.

There are a million details that made this place perfect for our wedding, but instead of describing them all, I'll just recommend that you go check it out for yourself if you're looking for a great place to host your event.

A wonderful bar, open to the public. Cheapest drinks in town! It's Waverly's best kept secret. The bar food is good, the staff is awesome. It is a beautiful venue for a wedding. You can have the wedding outside by the river and your reception up in the banquet hall. It seats around 305 I believe. The view is breath taking.
During the nicer months you can sit outside on a picnick table and watch the boats drive by. Its an awesome place that I highly recommend. Open to the public

Awesome place. Yes open to the public. Small menu and sometimes you have to call ahead to get the special meal. So keep an eye on their Facebook page. Great people and nice bar.

Breakfast the second Saturday of every month, buffet with excellent food -eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, french toast sticks, rolls and pastries-with coffee or orange juice! It's great!

Staff is great and the food is awesome! Totally worth my time and money!

Very nice Legion hall. Great place, be sure to take the elevator to the basement. Watch the back of the elevator. Simply beautiful.
