The Hudson Inn

Had a great stay at the Hudson Inn over the 4th of July. Great staff, terrific room (fridge, microwave, comfy beds). Breakfast was delicious - coffee, juice, eggs, toast, bacon/sausage, and pancakes and french toast the next day. Pool and whirlpool were good (a little chilly in the space, but one of the guests left the courtyard door open.) Had a minor issue in our room, and staff took care of it in 10 minutes.

There were a couple groups in the hotel, but never got too loud. Great space for family gatherings (where we hung out because of the rain.) They are continuing to do some construction, but it never got in our way, and our room/area was not impacted at all.

Quick walk across the street to a unique department store that also has a bakery/coffee shop. It's a small community, so it is awesome to have additional options for hotel stays.

Will definitely stay again.

I had a surprisingly great stay here! My room was comfortable and updated. Bed was cozy. Breakfasts were better than expected and the griddle master was on hand making omelettes. Staff all around was great and the manager/owner on hand asked me several times if I needed anything. The bar staff was extraordinary and we shared quite a few laughs. I appreciated the welcoming vibes and humor. Made my night! Follow their Tik Toks and Instagram! My only critique is of the jacuzzi which is barely above tepid. This is true of most hotel jacuzzis which are never hot enough for me, but this jacuzzi tub was basically pool water temperature. Breakfast bar area could use more fruit options as I typically like to grab a banana in the mornings. I will certainly stay here again when I am back for business!

From booking to check out, my stay at the Hudson Inn was nothing short of wonderful.
I booked directly through the hotel and the process was very smooth. My choice of rooms was clearly explained and I chose poolside. Check in was very quick. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. My room was newly renovated, spacious and beautiful. It was extremely clean. The beds and pillows were so comfortable I didn't want to get up. These were not lumpy hotel mattresses. It was like sleeping on a cloud.
We ate supper at the in hotel restaurant. The waitstaff was excellent, the food delicious, and the portions huge. I will dream about that bourbon burger.
We made use of the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was the perfect temperature and was very relaxing but nothing could beat the pool. It was so much bigger than any hotel pool I have ever seen. Nine feet deep, warm and enormous. There were plenty of tables and chairs for relaxing.
The hotel staff all went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. The only downfall was my stay was too short. I definitely will be staying at the Hudson every time I am in town!!

Was in the economy room. So it was tight, but bed was comfortable, clean and AC worked. For $60 I can't think of a complaint. Staff was wonderful.

I have been staying here for work for a couple of weeks now. The staff is super helpful, friendly and inviting. They are always willing to help when I need something or have questions. I can see their vision with the remodeling and commend them for staying open while remodeling parts of the hotel.
Rooms are comfortable, clean and I felt very safe. The pool was warm and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was nice and they changed it up daily.

Just booked the Hudson in for a fundraiser for If Wishes Were Horses Foundation on May 4th. The ballroom is beautiful, and the organizer we are working with is knowledgeable, courteous, and a joy to work with. Got a tour - love the improvements they have made and are making. Met the owner- enjoyable to work with, look forward to our event, and many more in the future! There's room for 300 and the band! Very excited.

Dan and his crew are doing a great job of renovating this hotel. The rooms are fresh and clean and the hallways nice and bright. The pizza was fantastic! We just had our 40th class reunion there. It was great to be able to stay and have the celebration in one location. Your staff did an excellent job fulfilling requests. Thank you for the great experience.

We stayed in this building many many years ago when my sister was going to college in Morris so of course we had to check it out again now that's it been reopened. I'm so glad that it is being brought back to life and we were able to stay here again! The building has a unique charm to it. Our room was exceptionally clean and the beds were super comfortable. We did have to devise a way to keep the curtains from blowing open with the heat/AC fan on but that was no biggie (hair clip to hold them shut!). The staff here was the friendliest I've ever encountered at any hotel ever. The care with which they have restored spaces is obvious and I can't wait to stay here again and see even more updates. The pool and poolside area are an ideal place for families and the game room is fun. If you want it a little more quiet, choose other rooms. Next time it will be just my hubby and me and we'll take advantage of having the bar on premises (to the reviewer who complained about $10 a Long Island Iced Tea--I was paying $10 for that drink 20 years ago so it's extremely reasonable in my book!)

Tonight our destination was The Hudson Inn to try the pizza. Immediately we were greeted warmly by staff and Dan Hudson alike. For those with long memories, the bar and eating area is the old Corral Lounge. We could seat ourselves. Our server was prompt and our pizza was delicious!!!! Between ordering and eating, we were able to get to know Dan a bit better as we fondly reminisced about the hotel during it’s Sunwood Inn and Prairie Inn days. The place is not pretentious. It is a work in progress. It is a welcomed investment by Dan in our community. It isn’t brand new as I worked there 40 years ago. The place has its well-earned patina. Instead it feels like a family truck or car that is being restored and although it isn’t completed yet, it is drivable and oh so fun to take out on the road!

Finally had a chance to stop for pizza and a beverage. Pizza was super - glad to have a gluten free thin crust option! Could have either an Alfredo or a marinara sauce which is great ! Lots of choices for something to drink. So appreciate the work that has gone into updating this full service hotel. Super friendly staff. Will definitely go back!.

Only have eaten here, great food with an amazing Sunday brunch. Fast friendly service. Just a nice place to eat

Absolutely loved the pizza and service was fantastic! Even the owner took time out of his busy evening to check with every table about their food. Got to visit about renovations and exciting new things to come. Come out and support the Hudson Inn and it’s owner. A lot of time and effort has been put into this to make it great for our community.

The pizza here is awesome! It is not overpriced, as you get A LOT of pizza for what you pay. It's a nice atmosphere and the employees are so kind and helpful. They have really done a lot of improvements with the place and it looks great! Nice job!!

Don't judge a book by its cover. It's a great place to stay. The service was impeccable. The rooms are great. The pizza was delicious. Anytime I'm back in town, this is where I'll be staying!

A natural disaster came there my our crew was staying at the hotel. The staff was amazing doing anything they could to help us through the night. They worked so hard to help everyone out and continued to check on us to see if we needed anything. Great staff!

Food was delicious! Gluton free Pizza, Bourbon Burger and a cheese burger! The owner Dan was very friendly and genuine. We will be repeat customers!

The restaurant was an enjoyable experience. Dan is doing a great job restoring what basically was a wreck of a place. It is clean and the staff is friendly.

This was my first visit to Morris, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. You should stay here!! Bring your family and friends!
VERY clean rooms and spacious, super comfy bed and linens.

Swim party was big hit. Pool was clean and well maintained. Very comfortable watching the littles.

Went for their Easter buffet. It was delicious!!
