I had a fantastic experience at The Athlete's Source, a small sneaker store located on High Ridge Road in Stamford, CT. I was in search of a new sneaker for weight training, and I was fortunate enough to receive exceptional service from Bob, one of the store's employees.

Bob went above and beyond to not only assist me but also educate me on the type of sneaker that would best suit my needs. He took the time to understand my requirements and preferences, and he even suggested that the store's current selection might not be the right fit for me. However, he patiently walked me through various criteria, and together we found the perfect shoe that met all my requirements.

I must say that I have never received such outstanding service when it comes to purchasing sneakers. I highly recommend anyone in search of specific sneakers to visit The Athlete's Source. You can expect nothing but exceptional service from the knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Came in looking for a new pair of sneakers and having flat feet it is often hard to find something that works or is not crazy expensive.

Staff measured my feet by machine and hand, recommended orthotics, and a couple brands and models of running shoes. Went with the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22. Very comfortable. Would definitely recommend the store to others.

I recently sustained a foot injury that required some new sneakers. I ordered a bunch online and nothing was right. I went to The Athlete's Source and Jason measured my foot, understood my needs, and basically brought me every shoe in the store that he thought may alleviate my pain and accommodate my orthotics. He was incredibly patient as I tried on each pair numerous times. Several customers came in while I was there and each one received personalized service and left happy. I bought a pair of Hokas that have made all the difference in my recovery. Out of curiosity I compared the price online and they were exactly the same. My husband went the following week and bought his own pair. I'm a dedicated online shopper, but The Athlete's Source will be my new stop for all athletic shoes.

Just bought a pair of tennis shoes here, excellent experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Limited inventory, like most places at the present, but had my size from the brand I wanted and surpringly at a price below what I saw on Amazon. What more can you ask for. Don't hesitate to shop here!

Great customer service and assortment of shoes! I talked to everyone in the store and they’re very helpful. Abby was super short and sweet, and Julia had cool straight hair. David was super radical with his backwards cap it almost took me back to the 2010s. Jason is wise and Bob even more wiser. Would come again

I had an amazing experience at The Athlete’s Source. The owner and his Dad were extremely personable and knowledgeable. I loved how they took the time to really fit my feet and find my perfect running shoe. I have quite a difficult foot to fit, and they helped me find a shoe in no time! As a new resident here, I will definitely be returning! Well worth the money!!

Jason the owner was so nice and helpful. I brought my picky 5 year old in to purchase new sneakers. She was measured and fit with just the right size and pair of bunny sneakers. I found Jason to be very professional and was impressed with his knowledge. The store was nice and clean as well. I will for sure be a return customer!!

The BEST place you can find the comfiest shoes. David was so helpful with all his knowledge to help me with my severely flat feet. My arch pain is completely gone with my new Hokas and superfeet inserts.

This was my first visit to this store today with my husband.
I been having so much foot pain and the New Balance sneakers I have been wearing were hurting me and i had I hard time walking. I meet the owner there today Jason and the sales person Bob. They spent a lot of time trying to find the right sneaker for me I have very bad fallen arches and arthritis in my ankle. turns out I was wearing the wrong type of sneaker that a other shoe store sold to me. I purchased a new pair that was the right fit and comfortable for me too. My husband also found a good pair too. Thank you so much Jason & Bob form The athletes Source.

Tried on many pairs. Chin up, they knew what I wanted. David kept showing, (his knowledge is incredible) most did not hold my heel. David showed me all the brands. Quest was for fit all the way, heel slipping was a major concern. Eventually Jason (the owner) came by and said try these. He knew and made the process enjoyable for me! A little tweaking by Davis and they were terrific. Comfortable yet supporting. I wore them home ( tied them myself ), then a walk with my dog, the real test. Perfection. Second store I was in today. Thanks for not giving up on me! David, you were great! I recommend this store to all seeking good fitting sneakers! Great buyer experience!

Great selection of shoes and the staff were so helpful. They answered all my questions, and had knowledge of different foot problems. I am def going back for my next pair. I got the perfect running shoes and work shoes for my aching nursing feet. :) It's worth going into the store vs buying online.

Great family run store with good selection and excellent service.
Before going in there, I was suffering from intense foot, calf, and heel pain. They measured my foot and recommended corrective shoes which literally changed my life.
Highly recommend.

No nonsense and incredibly knowledgeable. I not only found amazing shoes and recovery sandals complete with relaxed and no-pressure customer service, I was also given a recommendation to my podiatrist. I have dealt with Jason and Dillon and they could not be more friendly, helpful and professional.

I bought a pair of running shoes from here a couple of weeks ago and had a great experience. Jason greeted me when I walked in and was very helpful.

I told him that I was getting shin splints because of my flat feet, and that I tended to run only a couple of miles a day. Considering that, he recommended shoes with moderate support rather than shoes with the highest level of support because my running style didn't demand it. That suggestion saved me some money. Then, I tried on four pairs of shoes and tested each out on the treadmill; I was offered to stay on the treadmill as long as I wanted. I found a pair that I liked, and I've been very happy with the purchase so far.

Great selection & very knowledgeable staff. I went in looking for a pair of cross trainers, and I ended up buying 2 pairs (New Balance & Asics) for me and 2 pairs of running shoes for my wife (Asics & Brooks).

Dillin was extremely knowledgeable & helpful, and he really took the time to find my needs and make recommendations based on those.

This store is a hidden gem, and I'm very pleased with the personalized service. Very glad to support a local business. I'll definitely be coming back for my next pair.

The Athlete's Source is an excellent place to find running shoes, socks, clothing and knowledgeable personnel. They take the time to fit you properly, and have numerous brands to choose from. I have extremely high arches and settled on the Hoka One One sneakers. They're fit was amazingly comfortable and they're very lightweight.
