Dave's Backyard Farms

Absolutely , highly recommend this tiny store that has great raw milk and most tasty bread I ate since my move to USA.
When I was a little girl, every day my grandma picked me from the day care and I had my glass of fresh milk with fresh bread at her place, while waiting for my parents to puck me up.
Today I had that glass of milk with fresh backed bread and it felt like I am 5 years old again!!!

Food here is top notch. Dave genuinely cares about ensuring that the food you get has been lovingly sourced from the most natural processes. We recently grabbed some hot dogs for a camping trip, and they were the juiciest, most flavorful ones we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

We were terribly sad when Dave and his team relocated to Huntingdon Valley, but so happy for him that he had his own dedicated spot. Upon a recent visit there he was stocked with all the things we love and things we didn't even know we loved! It is not hard to buy a lot of products from him as you know they are coming from local farms/businesses that care about taking care of you, the consumer. Also worth noting: I think that his store is packed with great items for a local basket as a gift or auction item.

Best place to get local produce, food, and other unique things! I stop by all the time and will only get my eggs from here. I love to get apples and cottage cheese as well.

Great alternative to the Chain supermarkets for grass fed organic meats. Varied selection of different meats and cuts. Seasonal veggies, natural milk products and organic eggs. Feels great knowing we are supporting local farming and providing healthy alternative for our kids.

Dave is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The store has amazing local options form produce to wild meats and even local ice creams, snacks. Highly recommend it to anyone to wants to eat local and heathy :)

Dave has Rancho Gordo beans. There’s currently a waiting list to get them….. I bought the black eyed peas but with a bright yellow center-delicious!
The Lancaster feta is briny and yummy too!

Ok so hard wheat flour makes the best pasta- use less flour than called for…. It also dredges meat with flavor……it’s flour that tastes like flour. Total game changer.

Offers a variety of healthy, organically grown, local produce. I especially love the different types of breads Dave sells. They are delicious and nourishing. I usually buy my produce from Dave every few weeks. He also shows appreciation and support for hand-crafted items and paintings made locally. Yesterday I stopped by with my little girls after our library time at Huntingdon Valley for some cookies and chocolate milk. And Dave was so nice to allow us to sit on his porch to snack! We enjoyed our time there and will be back soon

This is such a great little market. I'm very happy I stumbled across it. I'm grateful for the exposure it gives to local produce, dairy, etc. and Dave's newsletter is very educational. I'll continue buying from here whenever I can.

I got the best ginger from Dave. He has a modest selection of high quality produce and breads and even some specialty meats and wild caught salmon products in the freezers. Definitely worth a visit.

Great locally-sourced food provider, with excellent produce quality and variety. Store has other artisanal items for sale as well.

This is the coolest spot ever! So glad that something like this is now in our area! I feel like it's never been easier to get good local groceries in a conveniently located place you can trust. The owner Dave is the best. He's knowledgable, helpful, and you can tell he's been doing this for years. The good values of this business come right through when you go there. I would highly recommend a visit!

So happy for this friendly shop where I not only find the organic food I want for my family but can also support small farmers who are fighting the good fight to keep organic farming alive. It’s a win-win.

Dave’s has a wonderful assortment of highly sustainable products. We enjoy his selection of meats and seafood, along with all the interesting specialty items. I haven’t had to buy meat in a grocery store since I’ve been working with him. We feel fortunate that we found his store it is definitely a gem.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dave's Backyard Farm, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had. Dave's commitment to providing organic and locally grown produce is truly admirable, and it shines through in every aspect of his store.

As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The shelves were stocked with an impressive variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, all clearly labeled with their origin and growing methods. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the produce - everything looked and tasted amazing.

But what really sets Dave's Backyard Farm apart is Dave himself. He's incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and he clearly has a deep passion for his work. I had the pleasure of chatting with him for a while about his favorite chess strategies and some philosophical ideas, which really added to the overall experience.

Dave’s Backyard Farms became our backyard farm too! We get our weekly staples basket- best free range eggs, milk, sour cream and bread- don’t want any of those from anywhere else anymore. Oh and the olive oil- oh it is good! Also thankful for wonderful seasonal treats- best apples in Fall and Winter, radishes and strawberries in Spring and we will see what the Summer will bring;)! Thank you Dave!!

Dave's got the highest quality and food and tastiest treats around! I only buy meat from Dave because I know it's super local and organic, the steaks, chicken and smoked salmon are all sooo delicious. The fresh bread is the most delicious bread I've ever tasted, the eggs are fresh with orange yolks, and I love the sauerkrauts, spices, and other fun unique small batch items. Also Dave is the nicest, sweetest man! Love his mission, dedication, and all his goodies <3

I was encouraged by a friend to pop by this place. I am so glad that I did! I cannot believe how much amazing high quality stuff can fit so eloquently into a small shop. We pop in after church for some organic kombucha (so good!), sometimes some organic local ice cream and definitely some non-gmo popcorn and fruit for our ride home. Can’t forget delicious cheese and truly high quality pastured meat (at a good price!) to make for dinner! We will continue to stop by Dave’s whenever we are in town. Thanks for opening up this awesome shop where we can find organic and local stuff that isn’t funneling money into big chains.
