We had a good time! The water was beautiful. We saw otters, herons, and egrets. We kayaked up Maple Creek since water levels were finally high enough so that felt special. Awesome experience. Our arms were only a little sore the next day. Can't wait to go back.

We had such a great time with Sawyer on our Big Lagoon tour. He really took the time to educate us and make sure everyone was having a good experience. He answered all our questions. It was also so nice that the kayaks were all set up and we didn't have to carry them! Would highly recommend for kids and adults!

When we traveled from Kansas City to Trinidad, Kayak Trinidad was a focal point for our trip. We were looking to use some of our existing kayak experience to get a first hand look at the Trinidad Bay, hands-on. We were not disappointed. Upon first arrival to the shop, we were met with smiles and hospitality. Jason offered us some local recommendations and knowledge in regards to weather and tide levels. He also got some specifics about our upcoming kayaking group of 7 and was able to customize some of the equipment to better suit us. On the water, we were well taken care of by our guides, Alex and Sawyer. They were both knowledgeable, friendly and vigilant throughout the process. There are multiple check-ins as the tour went on in regards to physical activity, nausea, excitement and overall comfort in our kayaks. They were able to inject humor into the process and also explain the facets of local nature in a very manageable way. We were offered avenues to taper or increase the adventure, which we all appreciated. We opted to do some of the more adventurous choices, which included leaving the bay into the open sea for about 15mins [which was very exciting!] We truly felt like we completed a quest when we safely arrived on the beach again. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an experience on the water, but don’t forget the Dramamine !

Fantastic day on the water with Nick as our guide. He was so thorough, making sure everyone knew what to do each step of the way from launching our boats til we beached them at the end of the tour. He’s a great teacher and guide and so knowledgeable. All equipment in great shape and felt safe the entire trip. We all had a great time and learned so much about ocean kayaking, the local wildlife and area in general. Highly recommend this outfit!

Went kayaking last weekend with Nick & Alex and they are excellent! & Jason is super friendly & great to talk to! I love these people & the kayak trip was unforgettable. Even though I didn't see any gray whales, it was still a priceless experience.

Super fun morning on the water with Kayak Trinidad guides Nick and Alex. They had all the gear ready for us and made sure everyone was comfortable and safe during the whale watching excursion. We got lucky and had a few whale sightings, along with seals, pelicans fishing, and even a river otter! Highly recommend Kayak Trinidad for all your water adventures!

Sawyer and Nick were excellent guides, full of knowledge, skill and experience. A few ladies in our group were a bit nervous, but that was quickly put to rest once they realized how much they were in good hands. We had a blast! Thank you Kayak Trinidad!

A great and informative time. One of our ppl unfortunately fell out of their kayak but the guides were so professional and able to take care of them super fast. I valued how knowledgeable and helpful Nick and Sawyer were. It was my first time kayaking in the ocean so I was pretty nervous but after this experience I think I will do it again! Great folks and small group.

We really enjoyed the kayaking adventure. The guide provided helpful and thorough safety guidelines, detailed background about the cove and wildlife and we even tried some wild sea urchin.

I went on the whales and wildlife tour with my brother and sister (all of us adults in our 20s/ 30s) and had a marvelous time. We spotted many sea stars, harbor seals, and various birds. No whales -- but this was to be expected in early August, as the whales' migration season is passed. Our guide, Nick, was very knowledgeable about the bay ecosystem and shared many fascinating tidbits along the way.
This trip really would be terrific for a variety of people, including absolute beginners. We got clear instructions in kayaking, as well as extra pointers throughout the trip. The tour also doesn't go all that far, and you can take a leisurely pace. Our guide took several pictures and videos along the way and shared them with us, which was quite nice!

What a treat! We took our 11 yr old Grandson on the Big Lagoon guided tour. We are 73 and had the most wonderful 3 hours. Our guide Sawyer was informative about the operation of the kayak and most especially about the wildlife. He pointed out otters and elk that we would never have noticed on our own. We can't wait to come back.

My family and I reserved a private group kayak tour, and it was perfect! Nick and Alex were great and patient with our group of eight. We had some issues with shoe sizes being incorrect (my group's fault for guessing during booking) and they were super understanding and accommodating and got us sorted out promptly. We had some spectacular views and saw some great wildlife (seal eating an octopus right in front of us!!!). We definitely all recommend Kayak Trinidad and were so glad we booked a trip with them. Nick and Alex gave us some great stories and history of the area, and some great recommendations on places to go afterward. Great overall experience.

Loved it! We had a great time with Alex our guide. He was very knowledgeable and patient with us. We felt very safe and in good hands. The equipment was all in good shape and all we had to bring was ourselves, water bottles and snacks which was great since we flew here. Highly recommended even for beginners!

Our family had an awesome experience kayaking the Big Lagoon with Kenneth as our guide! The morning was beautiful and the kayaking was exhilarating, serene, and at times hilarious. Kenneth was super nice and super knowledgeable!! We felt completely safe and enjoyed seeing and learning about the lagoon. Unfortunately, it wasn't our day to see otters or elk, but we still had a fabulous time and highly recommend Kayak Trinidad!!

Our family had a wonderful TRINIDAD BAY KAYAK TOUR – WHALES & WILDLIFE this past Sunday with Kayak Trinidad.

Communication was terrific, in advance and on the water. The meet-up and training logistics were flawless, and most importantly we had a great time out on the bay. We saw lots of birds, sea creatures along the walls, harbor seals, and battled a bit more wind than we'd anticipated, but loved every minute of it!

After a few hours of kayaking, we then hiked around the Trinidad Head Trail, had an amazing lunch at the Beachcomber Cafe, and stopped at Kayak Trinidad to grab some stickers and water bottles on our way out of town.

FANTASTIC WAY TO SPEND A DAY! Highly, highly recommend this company!

We participated in the Intro to Kayaking course which lead us back to the shop to inquire about the next class. Nick and Alex are wonderful trainers and they really know their stuff when it comes to animal habitat to the teaching the correct form so your experience is enjoyable and injury free. Thank you and see you again.

The two guides were super helpful, knowledgeable and funny. Our school group of 8 had a fantastic time. We seen a family of river otters and sea lions among many other things. Thanks Kayak Trinidad for being flexible and professional. We want to make this a yearly school field trip. We highly recommend the tour.

I accidentally booked the wrong date for a kayaking tour and Kayak Trinidad bent over backwards to accommodate us, and I'm so glad they did because it was an amazing experience! Nick was a very knowledgeable guide on the local wildlife, history of the bay, and was also willing to help us work on paddle skills. He even had recommendations for the surrounding area like Mind's Eye in Ferndale which we also enjoyed! Thanks so much Nick and Kayak Trinidad, we're incredibly grateful that my mistake didn't lead to us missing out on this experience.
