Sunshine Health Foods

First time in here, although I have driven by it a million times. I was on a search for a special natural beauty cream Whole Foods quit carrying, Sunshine had it! In addition, I was looking for something in particular for a health issue, and Omara took her time to help me find what was right for me. I was warmly greeted when I walked in, and enjoyed my shopping here immensely! I will be back again, they are worth the drive.

Very small but they make it count. Great items and fresh local produce. The store is always very clean and well organized. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You would expect the prices to be high but I've found items on par with Albertsons and some things cheaper.

I had lunch here twice and it was so great to have healthy food options among all the heavy fried food restaurants in Morro Bay. I really enjoyed the taste and freshness of the sprouted grain bagel an avocado sandwich. The tempah BLT was tasty too, but a little too sweet for me.

This place is amazing. Although it is a fairly small store, you will find everything you need here. There is more actual food here than the entire city block size "Super" market up the road. Also, the host to a very friendly & knowledgeable staff. Locally owned and operated... food stores simply do not get better than Sunshine Health Food !

This place is like the Tardis; it's bigger on the inside! Great variety and very knowledgeable, friendly staff. I especially love the bulk bins and the selection of plant-based foods. The supplements section is very good, too, and, like I said, the people who work here know their stuff!

We love Sunshine! Both the grocery and supplement stores have been our family staple for 9 years. Greg & Sarah are totally humble and generous, but Greg is the largest source of wide-range health food knowledge I’ve ever met. They run a business with full integrity that is like a family, full of long-term employees whom we consider friends as well. Tim, who manages the supplement department, has been an natural medicine resource for 30 years; he is as knowledgeable as a naturopath, If not more so. We recommend their expertise and local economy (they source most produce from local growers at the county Farmers Markets) 100%. Thank you, Sunshine, for all you offer our community!

Really nice selection of bulk-bin foods, from fig bars to date bars to grains and nuts. I enjoyed the fresh sopressatta that I got from the fridge. I would like to see more beverages on offer... there was almost nothing but soy/milk and other dairy-type products, and almost no single serve items to drink.

I drove by this place at least twice a day for a long time until I finally stopped in and I am shocked at how much bigger it is than I thought. They have a lot of quality products and I will start buying my food there. I didn’t know they were a complete grocery store. The staff is very friendly and answered my questions, I would guess the people working there have been there a long time because when answering my questions they referenced personal experience and opinions. That is hard to find.

Sunshine has all one needs at fair prices, with only a few exceptions. I love the fact that I can shop in a small space where I know where everything is. The staff is super helpful and friendly. It is by far my favorite grocery store at the Central Coast.

Yes. A real treat. Everything in the store is top quality. EVERYTHING! Not aisles of junk to look past, filled w/poisons and labeled 'natural'. Good, Great, Best quality brands and ingredients. Trust me. We've been shopping at health food stores in Mississippi, New Jersey, Boston, Tennesse, Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, and a few others also. This store is one of the best. And only one-half mile from the Pacific Ocean. Sweet.

I made a pitstop at this store on my way biking from Morro Bay to San Simeon SP. They have bulk section, though the variety is limited (almonds, cashews, some seeds, etc. No peanuts). They have a supplement section next door. Reasonable prices.

Amazing product ! If you are a vegan on the road and need some stuff to eat here you go! They have mostly everything you can imagine !
