The Lafayette Mercantile

Such a cute shop. Found the most perfect gift for my friend. Owner was so nice and organized! Gift was wrapped to perfection! Couldn’t have had a better experience!

Was lucky to stop in at the Mercantile right before Christmas as my husband was looking to buy me a couple more things. The owner herself waited on us and helped me purchase jeans that I would normally not even look at. She helped me with the sizing and styling, both of which were perfect. On top of that we chatted for a few and she was telling us about the future plans of purchasing different clothing. I can not wait to go back in the Spring (next time we are up that way as the store is over an hour from home). This place is an amazing store and the customer service was beyond the highest level.

My partner and I were just passing through when we stumbled upon this incredible shop!! Not only did we get some nice new glasses with wooden lids and glass straws, but we were treated with such genuine kindness! I would absolutely recommend stopping by when you’re in the area! We will definitely be returning!!! :)

Little shop with so much to offer. Unique honey, and nuts to taste on. There’s a section of adorable baby items. Then!!! I saw the section of clothes, which were reasonably price and beautiful, unlike many small shops charging an arm and a leg to be stylish. There are many sizes and the shop owner was very helpful and not pushy at all. I can’t wait to return to the town and stop in to see what’s new. So cute!

A nice little shop located by the antique district of Lafayette. The items range from women’s and infant clothing to brass mounted animal heads wearing glasses - definitely unique and worth a look. I loved the baby booties which looked like dragons breathing fire, so cool!
The owner is this upbeat and bright woman who will make you smile whether or not you end up getting something. I bought a book for my upcoming newborn daughter and a few dresses my wife loved (for very reasonable prices at that). The owner teared up and was so happy for us - such a genuinely caring person and exactly who should be running a store like this one. Stop in and check it out if you’re in town, it’s worth it!
