I was traveling through Lombard. It has been years since I was really into model railroading, but my wife says I need a hobby. So I decided to stop in and pick up some model railroad stuff to build a small layout in a spare room. The selection was good and the staff was friendly.

One of the best model train stores you will find. They are very easy to deal with overall. Quick to respond to email, calls, and even Facebook messages. I live in a neighboring state and the shipping is always crazy fast. Prices are some of the lowest you'll find, very resonable. They also have a wonderful preorder process that is easy to use. I've been a repeat customer for years and that will not change!

Customer service is great. They have a HUGE variety of HO scale rolling stock and locomotives. They have smaller scale there, as well.
Prices are what's expected, hopefully they don't go up anytime soon.

Overall, great please with great variety. Checkout was a bit slow.

Very happy doing business with Lombard Hobbies. Great selection and competitive pricing. I live in Florida and happened upon Lombard while searching the internet for new N-scale stuff. While I like to support Tampa Bay Area LHS’s, traffic here stinks and the closest decent shop is an hour away. I’m lazy so it’s nice to shop online with a store like Lombard Hobbies. They even honored my request to ship UPS versus USPS which was great. My stuff actually arrived when it said it would.

Very good place if your into anything train and train scenes related. I'm not but they did have some paint I needed and some other items like decal setting solution that I needed. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Getting back into the train hobby after several decades off. I purchased two Athearn diesel locomotives (PHL SD40’s) on Monday. I live in Indiana, receiving them on Tuesday! Items were packaged extremely well! Plus, they threw in a super nice extra that was really appreciated! Will definitely do business with again!

Great place for HO trains. They've always had what I was looking for and more. The only difficult thing was getting out of there without spending all my money.
