Outstanding products and services! Highly recommended! Relics carefully helped select and prepare reclaimed wood beams for our basement project. The results after installation are stunning. Thanks a million Relics! We’ll be back for a few more projects soon!

We purchased this lovely cornice from Relics with the vision of our mantle in our new home. We chose to let it show its age and beauty. We love the contrast against the new tile. It is becoming a conversation piece. Highly recommend Relics. You never know what gem you will take home. Linda and Brad.

It was so fun to meet these neighbors and discover this gorgeous mahogany mantel in their delightful shop. It is the perfect centerpiece for our redecorated family room. All of the Blacksten family are a pleasure to meet and work with, and we look forward to finding more treasures there in the future!

What a fantastic find! This business has a beautiful selection of local salvaged treasures to add the perfect touch—along with some great history and provenance—to your home or business.

We purchased an American chestnut barn beam, which was customized to our specifications while we waited.

The owners were both kind, gracious and knowledgeable about their inventory. They patiently let us peruse the large variety of potential fireplace mantels, until we found the perfect piece for our project.

Thank you both very much! It’s so exciting to add an authentic piece of barn architecture to our home. We will definitely return!

We were looking for a rustic beam to use as a mantle and found exactly what we wanted. Doug took us on a personal tour of his inventory and was a big help in selecting just the right beam. We also got a personal tour of the old mill they are renovating for their workshop. Great personal service and definitely worth the drive out.

It's great to finally have an Architectural Salvage business that is local. The current showroom has been nicely finished and matches the original character of the Mill and the stock items they have on display. It has been fun to watch the store come together on Facebook and I will be looking forward to their continued growth in the coming years. There was a good mix of new and reclaimed lumber options as well as a growing inventory of fixtures and hardware. I enjoyed talking with Doug and his family about the process they have gone through over the previous year to get the showroom completed.

Working with Relics was a great experience. I had never heard of them until I accidentally found them on the web. I was looking for some white oak barn wood for a project. They didn't have exactly what I needed when I stopped by their shop but they put in the extra effort to locate an old barn beam and cut it into the dimensional wood I needed. Perfect!

I was given a cedar growth chart as a gift for my baby shower back in January. I received many compliments about the beauty and craftsmanship of the piece from my friends at the party. My sister is expecting her second child and I thought it would be a nice gift for her as well. When my mom saw that I bought one for my sister, she wanted one for the grandkids at her house! Although I also chose cedar wood for my sister's and my mom's growth chart, (they are available in other types of wood too!) each one is unique and special-none are exactly the same. Work done by Relics Architectural Salvage is original and of high quality. I highly recommend their work.

I went to Relics looking for the perfect wood for our kitchen renovation. I found amazing reclaimed barnwood that we used to cover a header between the kitchen and dining room. It completed the project perfectly. They have an amazing selection of reclaimed wood, windows and doors, and other items. I couldn’t be more happy with the wood and the service we got from Relics.

I came upon Relics Architectural Salvage last spring on a treasure hunt for something old and reclaimed. I was in for a real treat! The staff went out of their way to help me dig (literally!) through piles of reclaimed lumber to find the perfect wood for a table top. They were patient and knowledgeable. The owner can tell you from where each relic was salvaged in the local communities of Carroll and Frederick counties. Kelly makes you feel like her neighbor of many years. We made a one-of-a-kind table top from Relic granary boards. We are looking forward to our next project with Relic...reclaimed lumber with which to make a box beam to cover a metal support beam in our family room. Thank you Relics for your warm customer service and beautiful architectural treasures!

If you love old salvaged doors, mantles, & such, this is the place to go! Relics had the exact old door that I envisioned for our pantry & happened to be on sale which was an added bonus! The staff was very knowledgeable & helpful! Will definitely shop there again!

Relics Architectural Salvage is truly a gem. Had I known we are practically neighbors, I would have been a customer of theirs since they opened their door 2 years ago. My husband and I went recently went to browse and get some ideas for a new build. We like somewhat rustic, primitive and unique.
Relics has it all! From cornices to corbels, mantels, radiators, oh so many doors, hardware, windows and so much more.
We were greeted warmly by Kelly, one of the owners. Kelly introduced herself and was genuinely interested in us. She shared the history of the building and the business with passion. She suggested we take our time while browsing. At the end of our "first" walk through, we found exactly what we wanted. I believe it is called an entablature or simply a cornice that at one time was over an exterior door. We plan on repurposing it as a mantle.
We went back a week later to purchase it and at that time, met Doug, Kelly's husband. Doug shared where the piece was salvaged, what the purpose was and where it was on the building. He even put it in the car for us!
If you are looking for something unique, this family owned business has it.

I emailed relics to ask if they had a specific piece I was looking for- not only did they have them but they held them for me and facilitated my family coming to pick them up. I could not be more grateful to the staff who were so kind and communicative. And the pieces are stunning! Highly recommend.
