Dinstuhl's Fine Candies

This place is amazing. The owner gave us a tour. My grandfather can walk again. A little girl turned into a blueberry. At the end we flew away in an elevator and they gave us the factory. It was crazy.

I wanted to take the time to compliment the service and my experience with this location of Dinstuhl’s. I called Monday, February 12th around 3:00 asking if they could possibly have my order ready for pickup same day. I ordered 1lb of chocolate covered strawberries and a box of chocolate covered grapes for my grandmother’s birthday. I understood it probably was not going to be possible because her birthday happens to fall on the busiest time of the year for them. The sweet lady who answered the phone (I unfortunately did not catch her name) told me she would see what she could do for me and would give me a call back. She called me back 10 minutes later and told me that she was able to expedite my order for me and was happy to do so because she too is a grandmother and would be so happy if her grand babies would do the same for her. I was able to pick up my order in 15 minutes. I cried when I got off the phone with her because my grandfather had just passed that morning and I just saw that as a sign that he was already looking out for my grandmother. The lady was so sweet to me even though she did not know what I was going through. Thank you so much for having amazing customer service and luckily my grandmother shared some of her chocolates with me. They were awesome.

Couldn't ask for any better service, atmosphere, food, friendliness or promt attention to each customer no matter how busy they are. I love this store and I love its people. They should be on a world wide map of best candies in the world. Get the camera crews in here and put them on world news people!!!

Now I must admit that this has to be some of the best chocolate 🍫 I've ever had in my life! And this is coming from a huge chocolate lover with a crazy sweet tooth ( well more like a sweet mouth) lol smh 😶‍🌫🫥😏

Was so blown away by that rich soothing taste...that I was pacing back and forth while eating in the kitchen haha. Just shameful 😞 but well worth it!

Great gem in Memphis! They have very creative seasonal options, and the items I got tasted amazing! Definitely a spot I would come back to when I'm in the Memphis area!

Beautiful candy displays for the holiday season, clearance sale for Thanksgiving items, beautifully decorated candies and chocolate desserts, friendly customers service.

The employees are so friendly and helpful! They really make the place great. The chocolates and other candies are obviously fantastic as well. They have a wide variety of candies to try. I recommend their truffles, which they serve year round. You can also find many different seasonal specialties, and candies for specific holidays - which is great for gift giving. They have chocolates for occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. You can also get things like chocolate covered strawberries, that aren't in the regular shopping area. Dinsthul's is a staple of Memphis and a great way to shop locally! I highly recommend this store!

I have been going to Dinstuhl’s Fine Candies for as long as I can remember, close to 50 years. My children always connected Dinstuhl’s to holidays! I didn’t let that stop me, though, for we would go just to have a special treat! I remember in the early 80’s, before my mom died, we visited Dinstuh’s. I said, “ we would like a pound of the chocolate covered strawberries, please!” My mom then said, “ make it 2 pounds because we have to drive home..” LOLOLOL!!!

Love this candy store! The staff is very friendly an helpful! My daughter an I went one Saturday close to closing time . I was aware of the time an was not going to stay past closing time (that would be rude) . I had promised my daughter after we ate an early dinner we would go there. We bought a lot of goodies! The ladies were very nice to us an even gave my daughter some extras and we were out before they closed !

Dinstul's candies has been a Memphis staple for many many years. I've been eating their wonderful goods for more than 40 years, homemade and handmade candies, for every occasion in every season. The staff is wonderful and courteous, they know their candies well. if you have any desire to eat delicious local chocolates and candies this is the place to go.

The Dinstuhl’s family has created a history of excellence in Memphis! The staff is also very pleasant and knowledgeable! Clean and smells good, but be aware, you might buy more that you should!!;)

I've passed this location for years because I thought it was just a warehouse. I was excited when I figured out that there was an actual store in there. Love the candy but I can only go there once or twice a year or I would be as big as the building 🏢.

I actually met Ms. Dinstuhls..4th generation...it was like meeting Mrs. Claus she smells like peppermint ❤the candies are so fresh and delicious. Must visit place

Excellent candy. I bought some while staying in downtown Memphis. I bought sea salt chocolate covered caramels, a buttercream egg, a chocolate covered marshmallow, and some plain milk chocolate. I have tried all but the buttercream egg...so far, my taste buds are in heaven...especially the caramels. I hope these guys ship within the US, because I will definitely order some new stuff when my supply runs out.

UPDATE!! 8/19/2023

So I planned an Elvis themed party for my mother in law. Having been to Memphis, and already having these chocolates, I knew I had to have bars shipped to my house to hand out as party favors. They were a huge hit. I only had 2 bars left. Plus they sent me a small box of buttercream chocolates for free. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Excellent customer service. Excellent chocolate. Could not say anything better!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this staff. They were very helpful, gave great recommendations, and everyone loved the final gifts!!

Aside from the amazing chocolate, the staff was absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful!

I stopped by for a late mother's day gift the Monday after, because they are closed on Sundays. I went in and right away one lady asked me if she could help, and recommend a few things for me to consider purchasing. I looked around for a little bit and another lady politely offered to help me find something. I was thinking of getting crumbl or insomnia cookies for mom, but dinstuhl's had a sale on fudge, so I got 2 containers of fudge, and some little chocolate balls that remind me of Ferraro Rocher candy for the same price as I would have paid for 4 cookies at the other places. Highly recommend checking them out, and I'll probably go back for a gift for mom's upcoming birthday.

Love this place. Fair prices and the people are incredibly helpful. Great experience. I like getting the little 1$ grab bags.

Had the opportunity to go to the spring open house. It was awesome to get a tour of the kitchen and a sample of some of the fresh candies. It is a wonderful place to buy local chocolates!

Love this place! Great can dy. Local small business. Super friendly staff.

Make sure to try some Cashew Crunch. And don't forget to ask what's in the fridge. Chocolate covered grapes? Yes please! Chocolate dipped strawberries? Oh yeah. Chocolate covered blueberries? Are freaking kidding me? Gimme two boxes!

My fave? Dark chocolate covered espresso beans.

Now, if they would just please ... PLEASE ... bring back Tipsy Cake.
