Girls wknd with my sister in law. Learned we were staying in a "dry" county, and we were directed to The Whiskey Barrel by our hotel. We went from a busy city area to the absolute beautiful countryside. This liquor store appears small from the outside but is stocked well, has a charm you can not beat, and even has a drive-through! Right at 10 miles outside of Tifton, GA - The dry County!

Not much to choose from in the area, so I took a ride out this way to see what they had.

One is a little concerned upon arrival as it looks to be abandoned. But I tried opening the door, and viola, they were open.

Be prepared for a security measure awakening. You and the booze are separated by a solid brick wall and chicken wire.

Luckily, I scored a hard to find bottle of Eagle Rare and was on my way.

The lady working was friendly and helpful.

5 stars for being the closest place to Tifton and being such a unique structure. Drive through is my recommendation but going inside is it’s own experience as it feels like a 1885 jail/bank, and that’s a good thing.
