Update on 12/16:
Visited again as I’ve been out of town for weeks. Got warm welcome/goodbye from staff. Well, I’d say I still love this place.

Update as of 11/26:
Got a speedy response from owner, bumping up stars to 3 for now. This complaint is being heard , which is good, and I hope it’ll actually make a difference. Will check back later.

Initial review from 11/22:
Been living here for a year, liked this place.
But today had very unpleasant experience with a staff member at register.
The guy is being lazy and trying to push me through self checkout as there’s a long line and I got “2 items only”.
Clearly he’s not aware that gift cards can’t go self checkout, in return he gave big eye rolling, huh.
I didn’t notice his name tag but got a cashier name in the printed receipt. PATRICK, you have a lot to learn about your job, even more about manners.

My favorite Safeway.
It has everything and employees are very polite.

It has a bakery, lottery, medicines, vegetables area, Starbucks, etc.

Our weekly groceries run on this place.

Really good produce. Very good selection despite being a suburban store. They have a lot of parking space, many self checkout registers so it’s easy to do quick grocery shopping here.

Safeway always has good deals. This last trip I got an eight piece fried Chicken for $4.99. and their employees are always helpful like Christmas helpful you know. I just like the atmosphere there it feels like home.

I love the selection Safeway has for fruits. Their fruits are awesome. I always find what I am looking for here . Staff is nice . The only thing is that not all cashes are open and most of the time only 2 . So there is always a wait for checking out.

My local Safeway. What can I say, the workers and friendly and nice. They keep the shelves neat and stocked. Quality food and good service. They have accommodated for COVID by using directional arrows throughout the store for your shopping convenience.

Friendly staff and good value for money

Always find fresh produce and dairy products. The bakery makes good French breads. Recently, I was able to find vegan cake and it's carrying more organic, natural, and vegan products compare to before. After remodeling, this store is organized much better.

The Wells Fargo bank and Starbucks is found in nside this store too. The pharmacy is generally busy. My favorite part is to get varieties of teas and seasonal produces and fruits there.

Yar, there be groceries here! Ya know, in that way that be safe. It's a full grocery store and not one of those reduced ones. It has all the items you would expect and will meet most of your needs. It's busy times are also what you would expect for the community it is in. As in, teenage crowd during the hours teenagers are released from school and adults on commutes / weekends. Stay at home and remote workers throw it off a bit, but it's 'volume' can be a accurately guessed most of the time.

This afternoon I received excellent customer service from an associate in the deli department (Spencer P). I had been ignored by an older asian lady for a long time (not certain if it was intentional, tho it is hard to imagine she didn’t see me). Then when my spouse told her to please send someone to the sandwich area (where I had been standing) she disappeared in the back and when a man appeared she clearly had not told him who was next and waiting and he went straight to the regular deli counter to help people who had literally just walked up. I spoke up angrily and said I was actually next and that the previous woman had already been ignoring me. To be honest, I was not pleasant with him and yet he kept calm and kind and apologetic for the situation. He went above and beyond to dissolve the matter and I left so happy. What an incredible employee. Thank you again, Spencer!

Employees are always very friendly, stores well stocked, also taking advantage of the reward points you can get quite a bit savings on your shopping.

With the app I have been able to find some good deals. It's always easy to park around it as well.

Everything you'd expect from a chain grocery store. Produce is fresh and of good quality. If you buy food at the deli counters (Chinese food, comfort food, wings, etc.) there's a nice place in the store to sit down and eat it.

Always good produce and has been great during the pandemic. Friendly, patient and helpful staff as well. Easy access fro 228th and Inglewood too.

Great, well stocked Safeway with a variety of items and they have some of the best produce. Also use the Safeway app for great savings and products are marketed if they have digital deals available through the Safeway app.

Marilyn Padilla made food for me and was absolutely amazing with her customer service and I actually had such a great experience working with her, her boss wasn't available for me to express my gratitude so here's a 5 star review. You rock Marilyn!!!
