Dayton Trading Post

Really cool place! They have lots of unique and affordable things to decorate your yard or garden with. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices on all the metal art pieces. The merchandising inside the store is very nice - its organized and the displays are crisp and easy to shop. Overall I loved it!

If you are looking for gift items, pottery, outdoor decor/art, birdbaths, metal work, or just a fun place to walk around - this is the place! Its nice to know there are still places like this - that sell different items than what all the other big box retailers sell. Prices are not bad, plenty of parking, and easily setup to walk around and explore. Would highly recommend!

I'm going to do my best to make this short I'll talk through a speaker so I keep going on and on so bear with me please. This place I've been going there for about 3 or 4 years maybe longer, is so accommodating in so many ways Southern Hospitality if you want it it's right there it's still here in so many ways but gone in so many ways too. I'll cut right to the chase. I lost my son 39 years old my baby on Father's Day 2023. I thought I was okay to go in there that day but I wasn't. The lady that always greet you and takes your money. She asked me was okay and ended up talking to her and telling her what happened she was so compassion just everything that you would normally do. But she did something she didn't have to do. I wanted to make something and I don't know something my son is on or something I'm about some charms and some other things let me say I tried, I need to go in there and get these crosses you know you give them to people to put in their wallet or other driver's license people you don't know or you run into whatever. Well after I told her that I will not finish shopping I really need to get out of there not because of her oh no no no not because of her! If you've ever been in that store it's hard to just go in there and walk out but I was so overwhelmed on what she had done and touched my son was a very good person who had a lot of compassion like her, she would not let me pay for nothing I wouldn't want anybody to take advantage of her just because you lose someone I wouldn't want you to go in there expect anything free! Because I know she knows I could pay for it but her heart was full of so many things that day and I don't care how many times I told her she insisted! I just wanted to say I'm ashamed that I have not posted the times that I went in there before all this happened with my son because they were all accommodating on anything questions anything! To the lady that comes out and takes our money thank you God bless you and your whole family that runs this wonderful business with so much compassion in y'all's hearts, God bless! Sincerely, Kim

If you need a gift, then you must save some time and stop here first! They have indoor and outdoor home decor, crafts, and many gifts to please that special friend. We found a cute lamp and had to get another one because the price was right!!!

The best place for you

Beautiful place to walk about and find treasures. The soil was reasonably priced and the environment was friendly. I will go back again soon! Sorry didn't take pics this visit. Will surely post pics next visit

Eveyone that works there are absolutely amazing and so sweet! If I could live at this place I so would, lol. U can look at everything in one day, that's why u have to go everyday

Really neat shop ! Can't wait to go back and find more goodies.

I bought some garden soil there and they were very friendly and helpful. I didn't need a full load so they cut it half and I was able to transport it myself. They also have mushroom compost and different sizes of rocks for driveways, etc. I'm looking forward to going back to shop again.

Nice place just gotta keep the wife out of there lol but they have a lot of cool things for decorating the yards or house
