Plato's Closet - Madison, AL

I loved the experience as a whole but was very dissatisfied with how they didn't take many articles of clothing. We had name brand and new and washed clean clothes and shoes and there was some things on the shelves that were dirty and old looking. They missed out on not taking but 7 articles of clothing for a measly $22.50. The only highlight of my time spent there was finding a pair of Tommy Hilfiger boots that I've been searching for forever and they were the right size and only $20.

The Plato’s Closet in Madison is my preferred store to go to between here and the Huntsville location. I’ve sold more items to this store than the Huntsville location and I’ve had good finds at both but this location is larger which is nice because some of the isles at the Huntsville location are a little tight but overall I enjoy shopping at both.

Employees are very kind. The store is neat. however, I feel overpriced to be a thrift store, and like most, it has a weird smell, but what thrift store doesn't

Friendly staff. Communicates the process well. Even if they don't take some of your clothes when you're trying to sell them, the explanation is pretty clear. I haven't had a problem with them at all!

Great little shop for tshirts, jeans, & jean shorts.

Great selection of gently used brand name clothing, at a very fair price. The associates were extremely helpful and very informative and friendly. I would definitely recommend shopping here, and don't forget to bring in your gently used clothing to get some cash towards your shopping trip. Something for everyone in many sizes, colors, and styles. Was very impressed by the layout, color scheme placing, and ease of shopping.

Love this store! Lots of brand name items to choose from. Store always clean and stocked very well. Staff friendly and helpful. Dressing rooms are available to try on before you buy. Store layout makes shopping easy. Easy to find and access from the main road as it is located in a shopping center.

This place is a "go-to". I always find age appropriate clothes, and the dead I get on athletic shoes keeps me coming back. The rewards system and texts about sales is nice...skip the bag and save even more. Only buy, never have i sold anything to them.

Most amazing thrift store ever. My daughters love shopping here more then anywhere else. Staff is nice and helpful. All clothing is sorted by size and color. I got an authentic Coach purse in mint condition for $40.

Adorable ladies. The selection is endless. My daughters loved the “treasure hunt” of finding all kinds of unique items. Jessica the store manager is on point with customer service. Definitely worth going and looking around if you don’t want to go dead broke working in a wardrobe for the new season.

Great gently used clothes for women and MEN!!!

Spent over 200 but got an entire wardrobe for my daughter!! Plus a MK purse in excellent condition hell, everything was. Love this place. Great low prices for high quality clothing.

I love platos closet in Madison! Such a great environment to be in. I’m always greeted when I come in the door and the staff is so helpful! The store is aimed more towards teen and young adults because of that they hire teens and young adults. They are on their phones sometimes but let’s be real they are teenagers and like most teenagers these days they are addicted to their phones. I don’t fault them for that because they still have GREAT customer service. If it’s a problem they could just put the phones in a drawer or something.
When I sell clothes at platos they give fair prices. I don’t expect to get rich but I’m to lazy to deal with Facebook market and platos makes it easier on me. AND whatever they don’t take instead of it sitting in my car for a month There is a donate bin in the corner of the parking lot that I can drop the rest of the clothes off. I LOVE how the store is in size and color order makes it SOOO much easier to find exactly what I’m looking for. I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out!!!

You always find good, name brand stuff here. Great prices too! Found an American eagle dress button up shirt with the tag still on it, brand new, and got it for $10
