Nick's Shooting Range

In my opinion the best shooting range around not because they have a great shop on site and not because of the perfect outdoor range because the instructors were awesome. I bought a new sight and they put it on for me and helped me zero it in and in the process one of the instructors helped me and my girlfriend shoot more proficiently and gave lots of helpful pointers. He was nice enough to basically give us a full course on shooting for free which was much appreciated since we are new to the gun game. If u want to go somewhere where you can be comfortable and feel like your with family this is the place.

Today, my friend and I headed down from New Orleans to check out this outdoor range. Honestly, it's top-notch – super organized, friendly vibes, and the prices are just right. All the range officers were awesome. Hats off to Scotty, he was something else, really went the extra mile to make sure we had a safe and we had a positive experience. My buddy from Brooklyn, I haven’t seen in a year we’re able to create an unforgettable time. I'm definitely planning more visits. You guys are doing a fantastic job. Damn good spot!

Great outdoor range with full coverage over the shooting area for you and your gear.
We mostly stick the the 100 yard side. Yt we have been wanted to do the short pistols side.
They have the frames / stands for you to bring your targets down range and they keep a range master on site they keeps things safe.
Also really like the full different color lights for hot and cold range.
Wish we could go more than a handful of times a year.

This was my 1st experience with an outdoor range being from Florida we have mostly indoor gun ranges. This range deserves more than 5 stars the staff was excellent and even know I'm a novice they help me out getting my rifle sighted. Also ammo prices were decently priced I will be returning.

Range is outdoor. 20$ a day for the whole day or 100$ for the whole year (worth it by the way). They have ammo even 10mm available which seems to be difficult to find and a very great selection of firearms for sale. I forgot the guys name but they Sighted my AR15 and fixed it, and some dude named Tony even let me use one of his pro mags for my AR15 since the cheap metal ones I had were pretty awful. Everyone is really nice and helpful and SAFETY is their number 1 priority.

My wife and I went in today with no shooting experience at all much less the handguns we own . We asked for a instructor to help Angie explained everything and made us feel very comfortable. Pete also chimed in from time to time when he wasn't busy helping others. Very friendly place very professional. Overall they made the experience very enjoyable and less stressful if your new to handguns I highly recommend that you pay the $50 instructor fee and let these professionals guide you the right way of handling and firing you firearms WE WILL BE BACK!

Awesome range. RSO Nick is one good safety officer. People at the counter were excellent. Prices were definitely reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend coming here to buy and shoot.

Don't miss your turn! Solid outdoor range. 100 yd rifle range. 25 yd pistol range. They sell ammo and targets. Also have gun rentals. No E&E rental but several quality budget options available. Def a good option for outdoor range time in the new Orleans area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back.

Came here with some buddy’s for my cousins bachelor party. I could not recommend Nick’s more highly. The staff was so friendly and helpful, we felt right at home and comfortable asking for help. Nick even rented us one of his own personal pistols. Prices were very reasonable. All around a great experience. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!

We went to Nick's today to practice with our new pistols. I have been to many ranges over the years and the gentlemen running this range were the nicest and most helpful humans I think I have ever encountered. They were great explaining things and helping me correct my grip and stance. I will definingly be purchasing a membership to this range in the near future and making visits a regular part of my week!

Very friendly and helpful people, plenty of shooting time in a safe environment. RSO Pete was especially helpful to us, and we enjoyed meeting Mr. Brown, the cat who seems to think he owns the place. The only thing I can think of to improve would be to add a real bathroom on the outside of the building or at least a real sink to wash up after shooting. We'll be back!

I went there for the first time this past weekend. Great place to shoot. Very welcoming to a new customer. The store has everything you need and a nice selection of firearms. The range officers couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. My favorite thing about it was that they actively enforce safety regulations. They don't just sit around like some RSOs. They go up and down the line and ensure safety. Always in a positive way too. I will absolutely continue to shoot here

Always a great time shooting at Nicks!! Pete, the range master is exactly how every range master should be he kept the range safe and genuinely helps you. I did not ask if he did classes but if he does, I would highly recommend him if you listen to him, you will become a way better shooter.

Came here today (first time and new-ish to the AR platform). I can’t say enough about the professionalism and service-oriented nature of the range officers. Lots of clear, concise directions and gave me some tips on how to operate my new AR a bit more efficiently and correctly.

I went to Nick’s today (Saturday 1/21/23) with my son, daughter and her fiancé. I cannot find anything bad to say about our experience. We had a blast! (So to speak) The staff is great. The young lady who served us (didn’t get her name) was so kind and helpful, and Darrel (hope I spelled it correctly) the range master was great. He even gave my daughter some great advice on her grip technique which help her. Their prices on firearms are very competitive, which was a pleasant surprise. The thing I liked most was the abundant spirit of safety. Their clients are humans, with live ammunition; a huge responsibility. I am impressed with their effort to keep me safe, so I appreciate their rules. Mostly common sense, but some humans missed that trait, so thank you Nicks for that effort!!! We will be back soon!!!

Edited. ALSO- during our visit this morning I went into the shop to buy a box of ammo and asked the man behind the counter (again, didn’t think to ask his name) if he was a gunsmith and by chance had a grip screw for a gun I had at home. I wasn’t very hopeful because I had searched at many other places but couldn’t find this particular screw. He could easily have said, ‘no, sorry can’t help you’ but instead searched in his shop and found that screw! WHAT?! That may seem like a little thing for which to offer praise but for me that was impressive. I’ve been searching for a few years. Bravo to Nick’s and thank you for taking the time out for me! I am a happy customer! Ace, Destrehan.

This is a phenomenal outdoor range! The shooting area is large, the pictures shown on Facebook shows a small amount of is offered. Following that is their inventory. This won me over, if you are a builder (like I am) this range has all the parts you need from small repairs to modifications. Also they have a nice selection of range bags and range accessories. Lastly the staff, they are the true heart and soul of the range. You come in and you get a hi and welcome (places really don’t do that anymore), there isn’t any pushiness to buy, they will answer all your questions and give you a laugh and honestly take the pressure off when it comes to guns and weapons. Outside on the range you have a great range master that will assist you and follows the same welcoming tone as the folks in the store. Just remember safety and if you have questions ask. Over all a great experience, the prices are good and if you’re tired of the inside this range is where it’s at!

Nick and all of the staff inside the shop were friendly and went above and beyond for a rifle purchase. Price was right and everyone was happy to let me see different accessories.
Lane time is reasonably (to under-) priced. The firing line is in about the shape you should expect for a wooden structure in South Louisiana. It's not new, but it works just fine. I was very impressed by the effort put in by Nick and others to instruct new shooters. RSOs were proactive but not restrictive. Hoping to get back out there soon.

Friendly staff. Nice setup. Bring bug spray for mosquitoes.

This is a great place to take a beginner or if you have been shooting a long time. My wife was nervous for her first shooting and Nick and Chris made her feel less nervous. They are very safety conscious and very well organized. Will definitely come back and buy a whole years membership. Thanks guys.
