I've been going here for years. It's a very nice and small little japanese-based convenience store. You can find snacks and frozen ingredients for meals and even some homeware. The owner is very nice and I'm always happy to see her when I visit.

I've been going here for half a year now, and have recommended it to my family and friends in the area. Great prices, friendly staff, and unique food you won't find in other stores, and is absolutely worth checking out!

A hidden gem! This place is my go to for authentic Japanese cuisine ingredients. A few things are a bit expensive but overall has a great selection of items hard to find anywhere else in the entire Tampa Bay area so I don't mind supporting my local business, and the owner is always incredibly helpful and sweet!

Love the snacks they always have, and the fact I was able to remember the layout after my first visit made me love the place even more. The lady at the counter is also really nice too!!

I ❤ this market. They have wonderful Japanese and Korean options. Just some of the goodies I found today: include hamachi collar (iykyk), frozen wasabi blossom, matcha ice cream ... There's also a nice selection of frozen sushi options, ramens (including the frozen Sun Noodle packs!), And rice imported from Japan. The owner is super friendly too and can help you find items.

This is the cutest Asian grocery store in the area and you can't change my mind. They are definitely one of the smallest around but they have everything you need available. The owner is the sweetest woman I have ever met and her store has so much charm that I don't mind making the long trip from home to visit. She has the most impressive selection of furikake that I have seen locally so I always stock up when I go. She always has adorable imported pens and stationary, new candies every time I go and everything you could need to make a huge variety of Asian dishes. Don't skip on her pre-made food by the register!

When we moved back to Tampa a few years ago, it's was near impossible to find a legitimate Japanese market anywhere down here. Luckily for us, we happened upon Kotobuki and were delighted with the selection of goods here. There is nowhere else in the Tampa area that has all of the Japanese products we need for our daily cooking. If you have been seeking rice, snacks, sauces, and other items from Japan, look no further!

Such a lovely store! It’s so hard to find Japanese ingredients and treats in Florida so we were thrilled to make the drive from Sarasota to try shopping here. So glad we did! We came home with a lot of goodies and had a wonderful conversation with the owner while we were there. She was really friendly and helped us with some of our egg problems :) will be back next time we come up to Tampa. Thank you for a enjoyable shopping trip!

Loved this little hidden gem! I went for the first time today and the owner was there and she was incredibly sweet. She showed me how to boil rice cakes and talked to me for a couple of minutes. Highly recommend!

Glad friend recommended this store. They have everything I needed(I’m native Japanese) and the owner is really nice and helpful. Be back. By the way, I live in Bradenton, it’s an hour drive for one way but it’s worth it.

Absolutely lovely shop to visit. Today was my first visit there ever and I had so much fun. I adore Japanese culture and this shop is the closest to Japanese goods as I will get for now. The shop owner's daughter and son were very nice. The owner herself was very sweet as well. Reasonably priced goods. I just got a whole bunch of sweets especially those popularized by anime such as melon pan. I bought too many sweets and a ramune, but it was worth it! Who knows when I'll get the chance to visit anytime soon as I don't live close enough to this store. I had a lot of fun and got too caught up to take pictures. I hope to visit again soon!

Small Asian grocery store that has a lot to offer. I've been going there on and off for the last 30 years since they were on Dale Mabry and catered to Otakus with their video rentals. Super nice, family owned business that has plenty of goods to try. Plenty of different drinks, snacks, ramen, and sauces to choose from. If you shop with your eyes, prepare to spend more than you wanted to.

What a wonderful hidden little gem. I needed a grocery store with a lot of Japanese staples, and this market checked all the boxes. They do not carry fresh produce or meats, but they have an excellent selection of frozen items. The owner and her son were absolutely lovely, and I will definitely be back! どうもありがとうございます。

This place is great! Small but we'll stocked with so many great brands. It's clean and cozy. The lady who owns the place gives it a great atmosphere; she's so sweet, nice! Everyone needs to visit!

Reasonable prices and lots of our favorites - drinks, rice snacks, candy, the best mochi, noodles, danko, miso, golden curry, kombu. It's a fun store to explore with surprising variety for its size. The lady is very helpful and knowledgeable about what to get for recipes.
