Great store to purchase scopes and accessories. You can even try different models and compare them. Lynn was very helpful and helped my girlfriend purchase the right scope for her needs. The prices are also the exact same or lower then Amazon, etc. Glad we stopped there and had a awesome experience.

Great store with quality products. After first day in Yellowstone I realized I really wanted some binoculars. I went there expecting to pay a lot for something not very good. Man was I wrong. They had great quality vortex binoculars. I bought the raptor 10x32. They were priced cheaper than Cabela's offers them for! And right in front of the entrance to Yellowstone. Looking around I found all of their stuff to be high quality. Highly recommended. Thanks Elk. For not gouging me when you easily could have :)

Stopped in after we couldn't get a rental spotting scope. They sell Vortex brand, we got the 85mm and it did not disappoint. The maiden voyage was a mama black bear and 2 cubs.
The cashier (owner?) was awesome and attentive to our endless questions and helped us find a phone mount for it.

I would definitely suggest going here! The lady who I talked with (forgive me I'm horrible with names) was awesome! They sell a nice collection of different knives, including Damscus and pocket knives. As well as bear spray, and souvenir items such as a hoodies and shirts. Even if you don't plan to buy anything, take a look around and have a chat!

Great store. Had a selection of binoculars and spotting scopes. But there were lots of other fun gifts that were different from the other stores. Definitely worth a stop.

What a great place for souvenirs! Everything you might want and more: magnets, postcards, tee shirts, food, coffee, etc. The woman behind the counter was pleasant, and helpful. I got a glow in the dark Yellowstone tee for one niece for only $10. The Huckleberry lollipops were only $1 each, shaped like bears, and perfect for the rest of the kids. Before we leave Gardiner, I'll go back for more tees - especially the BOGO free ones by the front door!

We went in looking for binoculars. Kara was super helpful. Ended up buying a spotting scope, tripod and the attachment for our phones. I highly recommend stopping in. Plus they have really cute souvenirs.

My wife and I spent about 10 minutes in the store but were never acknowledged at all even though there was only one other customer there perusing. After being ignored, we left.

Rather than admit wrong-doing or affirm that they are anti-racist, the staff of Elk, Inc. chose to delete my review from their Facebook page. Here is the feedback I had posted and e-mailed to them 8/27/2019:
On August 23, 2019, after spending time in Yellowstone National Park, my family patronized a shop outside the park’s north entrance in Gardiner, Montana. While perusing bins of coyote teeth and carved bone feathers, I overheard the cashier complaining about having been refused $10 of gasoline at an American Indian reservation’s gas station. Though I missed the details of her exchange, it was implied that the refusal was discriminatory in intent because she is White and the gas was “only for their people.”
“It’s okay when ‘they’ do it,” she protested, further describing how it felt unfair that American Indians are allowed to hunt in her backyard. It was a grossly inappropriate subject for a business employee or owner to discuss in-front of customers, and the racist connotations of her comments left me livid. I walked out, refusing to spend my money there and encouraging family members to do the same.
In the hours spent in this huge, beautiful national park, I came to the sobering realization that these lands belonged to someone else. White colonists kicked American Indians out of the area, reduced their lands to a pitiful handful of acres, and charge money for people from all over the world to come see the park. This woman is directly profiting off of those same tourists, while selling knock-off, American-Indian-style goods.
If this woman felt discriminated against, she should consult a lawyer rather than gossip with White tourists in the belief that they’ll be sympathetic to her cause.

Wide variety but lack of help and rude.
