Julie was very kind over the phone and was patient when I inquired about pricing and inventory available. I went in and got sized for new uniform and vest and the staff was very helpful. Did not feel rushed like at other places. Will be returning again.

Took my outer vest carrier in to get fixed (another uniform store messed it up) and they took care of the issue.

Had a loooong list of things I needed to buy, get fitted for and have patched/altered and VCG got me in and out in a surprisingly short amount of time considering I needed so much and they had other customers.

Good for police accessories for police and military I read all the time and we recommend it anyone who works on front line of defense.

What can I say about this place nothing but the best Julie and Patty are awesome very helpful very nice ppl since the moment you walk in until the moment you walk hands down the best uniform store I've been to definitely recommend this place thank you from city-wide Response security.

I love VCG Uniform, they always have professional staff there every time I visit. Whenever I needed something, the blonde lady took care of me and accommodated me on whatever I needed with my uniforms. Great place to get your uniforms and equipment.

I don't go anywhere else. Great employee's. They don't care if you're CPD, security, or a crossing guard. They'll take care of you. Other uniform stores can be real Dbags. Not vcg though. Great spot.

I brought a vest and three fest covers...three separate jobs. And they fitted my smaller size perfectly. I have been going to this store for four years and I have been to other places (eagle and ray oherron). I swear I have had met the most friendlier people here, shoppers included. The suburban stores are less concerned when you enter to make purchases. Also tailoring is done pretty quick, not too much variety on belt brand equipment however.(Boston or Uncle Mikes only it seems)

Great selection and very, very nice people at the counter (Patricia took great care of my needs). Looking forward to shopping there again.

This place is by far the best uniform store around. All of the employees are friendly and most know exactly what you need. Free parking in front and back. They even stayed late a few time when I needed something urgent!

Now, its very important to remember that if you're coming to a place like this you can't expect service that's as quick as a McDonald's drive thru. This is a uniform store for law enforcement so you're going to wait. Now that I got that disclaimer out of the way let me start by saying that VCG is arguably the best Uniform store in chicago and here's why. As someone who has few frequented all of the major ones (JG, AJ, Tri-Taylor, Chicago, Ray O'Herron, and the COP shop) VCG stands out by simply doing their jobs. I went here for both my Cook County sheriff DOC uniforms and my CPD uniforms and both times they came thru. They make sure your clothes fit properly. All of their measurements are on point and accurate. Their quality is second to none. Their prices are competitive. Now remember this is a uniform store NOT a gun store. You're not getting the best variety for holsters and knives or flashlights here although their selection is decent. They tend to carry a large selection of Uncle Mike's which is garbage to me and I tend to stay away from, but they also carry some blackhawk items which I love. Their service rocks (the Albanian lady is awesome! No she's NOT Russian!). If they don't carry an item they won't sell you the wrong one just to make a sale. Although, they tend to carry everything and tend to stay in stock even with a large inventory like theirs. There's plenty of free parking in the back as well. You can't go wrong with VCG. Take it from a guy who's been everywhere else that has failed him!
