Salty Slab Meat Market

We moved to Stockdale recently and I was excited to see there was a place we could order online to have it delivered! I've got 5 kids under the age of 10, so that was awesome!! We ordered a variety of food to sample and share and everything was so good. I especially liked the Philly Cheesesteak and BLT. SO GOOD and very filling! I only wish I'd called to ask about sodas. The website didn't list options and we got a random selection with only 2/5 being sodas we like, I'm sure if I'd taken the time to call we would have gotten more we liked, my bad!

My husband and I stopped by for lunch and had such a great experiance! The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were generous. We ordered the shrimp tacos, a burger, and the Reuben. Everything we ordered we would recommend!

Our only complaint was that there’s no signage and the windows were kind of dark so we thought our map had brought us to the wrong place. Hopefully they can get some signage up soon!

We ate at the Stockdale location yesterday evening and the food was absolutely delicious!! The portions are huge and the price is awesome!! The chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken were amazing!! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!

Absolutely love this place! The owners are greatful that you're there, the good is amazing! I've tried just about everything offered from the meat market & restaurant side and they never disappoint! Food is made ready to order, you can even order your steaks cooked and they're cooked to perfection!

We were there for the grill this time and OH MY GOODNESS it was sooo worth it!! The best philly cheesesteak I've had south of The Alamo, so darn good. The Thursday burger special was outstanding for $3!!!! We have many trips to make here to try it all. Absolutely love having this place in our "backyard"!!

My daughter and I wanted to stop somewhere that wasn't a chain, you know support locals!! Great little gem to find. Have already shared this with my family since we drive this way when we go down to the valley!

Customer service is a 10! Every time I walk in the staff always makes you feel so welcome and the staff always greets you as soon as you walk in the door! Not to mention they deliver is you’re local. The food is always good and always fresh!

So thankful for our small town meat market! Everyone is helpful and friendly each time I go in. Almost a daily visit to grab fresh meat, great sides and little things that we’ve ran out of at home off their well stocked shelves. On days we are home for lunch time I take the quick drive in and grab burgers or chopped brisket sandwiches that are amazing. Can’t beat their price and wonderful taste!

Stopped in on a road trip for some lunch. Hidden gem, best BBQ I have had in a long time! Stop by on Sunday for their special and ask about their home made BBQ sauce!

We pass through Stockdale on Friday on the way down to camp at Goliad State Park. We needed charcoal because we found out that a burn ban had just been set. We needed some grub and something delicious to throw on the grill that night. We got everything we needed at Salty Slab. The sausage had the perfect amount of seasoning enough garlic to taste but not enough to be overpowering. Sandwiches were excellent!

Best meat around , I’m afraid to say how super freaking awesome great their beef jerky is cuz once the rest of the world finds out there might never be any available lol but yes I definitely recommend them and you have to try the jerky and get a warm meal while your there,the family and friends who run it have a heart of gold and are some of the nicest people
