Safeway

I don't usually shop here but it's the night before Thanksgiving and I need French fried onions, because the other place doesn't have them. There seem to be a lot of cars in the lot, so I'm prepared to a) not find what I need, and b) wait in line a long time. But.... found them right off, and the line was short!

I don't usually shop here but I do use the pharmacy. Best pharmacy I've ever used.

I just love the Cambridge Diner. I've been going there since I was a kid. Still has that awesome AUCE Salad Bar and the best Hot Turkey Sandwich with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy anywhere. Put Cambridge Diner into your Wazexand simply enjoy yourself. Cap it off with pudding or ice cream, which comes with your meal! Yum!

Now if you love flowers, especially carnations. This is my go to store, brought some flowers for my Birthday celebration on 12/06/20, these flowers were still popping three weeks later.

Went in here hoping they would have decent balloons and helium. They did and the manager who was working did a great job. It saved the day and my grand daughter's birthday because apparently there is a helium shortage.

Great customer service and I love the environment

I experienced the most amazing customer service today at the Safeway of Waltham woods rd in Parkville, MD by a young lady named Raina in the deli. I called and asked if they could do a last minute same day catering order for a tray of some sort to be ready in a few hours. (Remember it’s July 3rd, busy weekend). She told me that she could do a sandwich tray and have it ready. Some of their other trays required more notice. She was a great problem solver, and prepared a beautiful tray for me at the last minute. I called several other places before calling Safeway that were rude and told me not a chance. Raina went above and beyond to help me and was polite. I had to get a few things so I was checking out in the line and she personally walked the tray over me. Not only was it ready but the presentation was also beautiful. This experience exceeded my expectations and I had to immediately write about this exceptional employee. I manage others in my career and Raina possesses the qualities of a successful leader that will surely inspire others! Thank-you for being a wonderful asset to all!

The butchers are awesome here… one thing that seems to be disappearing these days is a REAL quality butcher. This Safeway has butchers that hustle and actually have blood on their aprons like they’re supposed to because they actually cut meat for a living in house. Many places are shifting more and more towards prepackaged from an outside facility. Those places have lost my business. A simple example… I like my steaks cut thicker than the market typically demands from the case. So I always ask for custom cuts, and at this Safeway, they have always been more than happy to help me. To the Safeway gods… you retain your butchers, you retain my business.

I just wanted management to know that Pete or Peter in seafood department is great 👍. I didn't think he would remember what I wanted, because it's not like I come here every week, but he remembered what I wanted without me saying a word. Very pleasant ☺ and that means a lot to me. You don't find customer service like that anymore.

I love coming to this safeway; very close and convenient. Decent selection and okay prices (to be expected of safeway).

Spinach is usually really cheap and other frozen veggies. Decent fresh Atlantic salmon prices.

Also love the flowers and plants here.

Store is always clean and signs are labeled well so you know where to find things. Love that there's a starbucks in the store. I get my prescriptions from here and usually there isn't a line so that's nice. Love the self check out. Makes getting in and out a breeze.

I really like coming here! This store is well stocked and well organized.. I do a majority of my shopping elsewhere, but come here when I can't find certain items on my list. The selection is pretty great.

The produce is generally fresh and high quality. The meat counter people are always friendly and helpful and this Safeway has a delicious bakery. It's clean and well organized. No complaints... except I wish they had tres leches more often. It's so effin delicious.

This Safeway is just fine. The prices are pretty bad compared to Aldi, where I normally shop, but I guess that's the reality of Safeway. I really feel like everything is five bucks, like chips, bread, etc. How tf a bag of chips $5?

They have a good meat selection, however I could not find any "thin cut chicken breast" which my wife prefers. I have tried to explain to her that one can simply slice the breast in half, like on cooking shows, but I digress. They also have a lot of discount meat which I appreciate.

The deli looks pretty legit, and they even have a floral department, AND a bakery. This is like the Wal-Mart of grocery stores.

2/14/22: my student works here now. Store is still good.

Not bad but not so good either. The building old so cant hold that against Safeway but it looks so dim but the staff here is wonderful, at least the staff I have dealt with. I keep misplacing my club card and they set me right back up, come to find out I never set it up and they helped with that. The conversations seem organic and they never seem to be grumpy.

I needed to pick up a few things for a friend's Thanksgiving dinner and the store had all items and were very reasonable price. One stop shopping and the store was very clean and personnel was friendly and shelves were well stocked.

One of the supermarkets I enjoy stopping at for great fruits, vegetables, cheeses, and sweets. I'm vegetarian, so I pay a lot of attention to variety, quality, and price. I LOVE shopping here for amazing red grapefruits and pomegranites, gouda cheese as well as the typical varieties, and really good baked goods.

I am very happy with how clean the store is (compared to other supermarkets I have frequented.

Even when busy, the staff is efficient and personable. Always a smile and a hello.

My guy saw a sign at the Pharmacy and very quickly got a flu shot as well as a shingles shot roughly 2 weeks ago. Very quick... Maybe 10 minutes tops and we got 10% off coupons to use on groceries!

During this time of global pandemic, all CDC guidelines were followed, (masks, social distancing, cleaning, hand sanitizer available, etc) so have no fears about shopping here. Definitely a place to put in your shopping rotation.

Good selection unfortunately after 9 pm there are no cashiers open, only self-check out

It's always well stocked and clean, and the cashiers are so respectful and pleasant. I've been coming there for several years and I never had an unpleasant experience with the cashiers. Hopefully no jinx.

This Safeway at North Plaza is the best one in the area. Such a wild assortment of international foods I could drop my whole paycheck there after staying all afternoon. They've got items I don't see anywhere else. So those who know this get 6 stars!
