Royal Farms

I'm here frequently and never had any issues. The staff is friendly and i always see the counters being wiped and cleaned. I will continue to make this my daily stop.

My Christmas eve catering order was not sent to the store. (Even though I ordered 2 days in advance) I received
an email at 4:00 that my order would not be filled. AFI saved the day and made my platter. A appreciate her sevice

I go here often at various times. If I can't sleep I will go for a walk. It's always clean, deliveries are handled well, and I haven't had a problem.

I had no problems what so ever except maybe a small parking lot. Friendly staff, and well stocked. I guess it just depends on what time you get here. I came during the afternoon.

Can't complain a bit. Parking can be tricky as this part of Harford road can be busy. Inside you'll find everything you might need for your workday or for picking up some quick things before heading home.

This review will be 2 sided. One will describe my time as an employee there and the other will be from a customer standpoint.

Let’s start off with a customer review prior to working at this Royal Farms location. This store is just a walk up the hill from my house and very convenient if I have to stop by and grab something quick before work or on my way home. This royal farms shares a spot with a dry cleaning service so expect parking to be tricky. This store is a bit older say from the mid 80’s. The employees there sometimes would greet me and I returned the favor and the prices were reasonable. Fried chicken and western fries was fresh and filling and their deli is okay but Royal Farms is known for their “World Famous Chicken”.

As a former employee, This was the first retail experience I ever had. I have seen my fair share of different types customers. One day Is good and the other day is an absolute hell. But hey, that’s retail. I’ve been asking to work the Day shift but my requests go through deaf ears. This caused me to abruptly adjust my schedule to accommodate Royal Farms. Not cool. There was times that my co worker gets sick or needs time off. I happily filled in their position for the shift. When I had my days off, I was asked to come in because a worker can’t make it or simply “they are coming late”. Once again, I obliged and came to work. Eventually, They were taking advantage of this and I barely had a day off. I can’t complain about the money but there were days I needed a rest. So here I am working pure evening shifts such as 2-10, 3-11pm, 4-11pm or 5-11pm. Don’t get me started on the overnight shift. They always come late and I don’t end up getting home as late as 1am. I gave up being the nice employee and reported their action to the store leader. AGAIN, this went through deaf ears and no action was taken expect “try to come early” or whatever my store leader said to them. My request was finally answered when I get to work the weekends on morning shift then being told by a co worker “can you stay a little past your shift time?” Hell no. Every time I had to work there I was frustrated. I Didn’t get compensated for my over stays as well which drew the end of the line for this company. I hope corporate sees this and takes the appropriate actions. But as a customer my shopping experience was good.
