Really nice people with solid and consistent quality food. Even with inflation it’s still one of the more affordable lunch spots in the city. It’s lovely to see the neighborhood gather at this place and talk with this local family.

The food was amazing! We had the noodle dish and sandwiches. Can't wait to go back on a Saturday to try the Pho. I also love the Dolphins decor!

I came here every Saturday for the pho when I lived in New Orleans. Hands down one of my favorite places to eat ANYWHERE! Great food and friendly owners. You’ve got to stop by and try it for yourself.

My kids and I left the zoo hungry and hot. This place took care of both issues. The Philly cheese steak was delicious and so satisfying. They also had the best prices I have seen in New Orleans. Would definitely recommend.

This place is a hidden treasure. The owners are kind, cool, down to earth AND Dolphins fans. Being born and raised in Miami, seeing the memorabilia collection on the wall is always a treat. Their food is absolute delicious and consistent and the atmosphere is always welcoming. 10/10 recommend.

Great shrimp po-boys. We stop here a couple times per month, just to get a po-boy. Its always very busy at lunch time, but the food comes at a good pace even when busy. Be sure to get the shrimp po-boy Vietnamese dressed. But its not really a "market"

Bau and Lauren know exactly what they're doing. From their delicious homemade ghost pepper and Carolina reaper hot sauce, to their savor bao buns and not mention their PHENOMENAL pho, everything I had there surpassed my expectations ❣ I WILL be back, maybe they'll make a Dolphins fan out of me yet 🐬

What a nice hidden treasure, in a pleasant neighborhood. I walked in for quick cold drink and saw they served sandwiches. The owner introduced himself and later called us by first name. Bo (owner) suggested I try the Singleton Special, I ordered and was completely stuffed with this delicious sandwich. I would definitely recommend this to place to anyone who's in the area looking for a quick bite. Great customer service plus good food = me coming back again.

This is a hidden gem in the Black Pearl neighborhood. Excellent poboys, the Korean BBQ pork is awesome. Have it dressed "vietnamese style". They always have a plate special, prices are actually special, that usually sells out quickly.
Saturdays they offer an expanded Vietnamese menu with amazing pho and several other traditional dishes.
Laura and Bo(sp?) are wonderful parents/grandparents and are taking every precaution to keep their family and their patrons safe right now.
Call ahead or eat in once things normalize from the Corona caper.

Everything you want in a neighborhood staple. Grab and go snacks and drinks, but the great food is the story. Plenty of inside seating and ample street parking makes it a nice spot to spend a lunch break. Good people running it is the icing on top.

The Korean BBQ Sandwich was crazily good. If you come here I highly suggestion you to eat it! It’s a quite a big portion for an affordable price!

Best sandwich place in New Orleans. Also best Vietnamese food in New Orleans. If you go to Audubon Park or ride the Levy Bike Path, stop by and get a sandwich.

My favorite Vietnamese poboy in the uptown area. The Korean barbecue, dressed up with the carrots and jalapeños etc., is also out of this world!

And if you happen to be a Miami dolphins fan, you will be STOKED to see all the swag they got collected.

One time I came here and got a Vietnamese poboy, a bag of green onion chee-wees, and a Budweiser chelada, and we watched wheel of fortune and it was LIT.

This place is an institution. Not only a poboy store with Vietnamese flair (and the best Pho in the city, which is served only on Saturdays), this corner store is a community gathering spot. The owners, Bau and Lua Nguyen, take care of the neighborhood and go out of their way on a daily basis to help the community.

The neighborhood regularly meets for Uptown Thursdays to hang out in the evening.

Bau is an avid Dolphins fan, who throws down for games (although the store is technically closed on Sundays).

Note the kitchen closes around 4PM most days, with daily special hotmeals at lunch that sell out by 12:30PM.

Favorites: Bánh Mì, Surf & Turf, Fried Shrimp, Hot Sausage, Pho, & Korean BBQ Pork Poboy.

Definition of a hidden gem. Friendly atmosphere, kind family running the place, phenomenal food. The type of place you want in every neighborhood.
