Retro Classics Video Games

Was nearby to Retro Classics for something else and made the trip to stop in for the first time since they moved. I'd been to the prior location some years ago.

Really like the new store! It's as eclectic as it ever was, and there are lots of good things in the broad selection. The extra space in the new location is welcome! It was a much better experience. Appreciate that everything is priced and visibly so! I was just browsing this time, but I'll be back. Thanks!

My Xbox stopped working so I asked if they could take a look at it at the store. Zach helped me out, answered all my questions (which were a lot!!) and he was very nice to work with and explained everything very well. I ended up doing a trade, that I think was very fair, he was very pleasant and it was a great experience. Honestly very good customer service, and even when it got busy with only 1 employee in the store, he handled everything very well. 100% I recommend this store, and I will definitely go back.

I bought a PS2, Xbox 360 Controller, and Xbox 360 game from here a few weeks ago. When I walked in I expected to spend around $300, but was very surprised to see how fair all of the prices were. I spent in total around $190. The guy at the counter was nice, and I want to give this place 5 stars. They have a wide variety of consoles, games, collectibles, and tons of other things I didnt expect to see. Good job guys.

I love visiting this place whenever I am in the area. Seeing familiar faces makes shopping a pleasant experience, especially seeing the little dog Puppers. The selection of games and merch is great; I get compliments on my keychains and earrings all the time! I'll definitely be here again for years to come.

Have been steadily building my PS1 collection and if it wasn't for this shop I wouldn't have much of a collection. They have a nice variety and frequent circulation of new items. Not only that but the prices are better than most online and retail competitors.

Also like to add that the games are in decent to great condition. Have yet to buy a dud from them but they will fix duds found or from there. The shop has cleaned up very nicely from the way it was in the past. Some games are hard to read prices with out help though. However, it's easy to get to what you want and the good stuff.

Knowledge, helpful, and honest- I have 3 boys and it is always fun coming here- local business, but 30 minutes from me. GameStop is great- but it’s nice to deal with these guys

Great place to relive your youth. They speak your language. I have obtained many NES games to have fun with my sons

I’ve been coming to this retro shop for about 5-6 years now (maybe 6.5 with it being 2024 now obviously) I’ve seen so many clerks over at the shop come and go, and honestly, I’ve always been pretty satisfied with my experience. Recently I traded a surmountable of games and consoles to clear up my collection and I LOVED the way the manager, Paul, explained every single thing to me including import pricing, reductions if a console isn’t CIB, etc. Not that many retro store managers do that, so I appreciate how ethical he was with me when it came down to the trades. The bigger space is amazing, I can see that they’ve added tons of new stuff like arcade cabinets for example. Overall, I think it’s absolutely worth shopping here for retro games and it’s probably the best retro video game store in Jersey. So, it gets a 10/10 for me.

Retro Classics saved Christmas! The staff was very patient and knowledgeable. They helped me purchase exactly what I needed so my son could play vintage Gameboy and Gameboy Advanced games. Highly recommend!

Always the first stop to look for used video games. They have a wide selection from different consoles, and have expanded even more in their toy selection. Staff knows their stuff, and are more than happy to find what you need. The new location looks good reat

This store is Awesome !!!!! The staff is so friendly and helpful ! Their selection is Great, The new space is so big you can see all the stuff they have now! prices are great! This is mine and my husband's favorite game store! We won't go anywhere else. We travel all the way from Edison that is how much we love it!

This store is truly a hidden treasure of variety in gaming. They have exceptional and unique finds at a fair and honest price point and the staff are beyond helpful, very friendly and well versed and informative in the gaming world. Stopped in for the husband and knew nothing of this world and the guys there helped me immensely. Thank you for helping me surprise and make my husbands day guys! Big shout out to you all! It's a rare thing to find a good small business like this with such variety in product and friendly atmosphere.

So to my amazement they opened up a new location! The place was huge and had everything on show which was cool. But I couldn’t find any copies of Resident Evil Zero. Hopefully they get some copies in soon. Ended up buying Resident Evil 3 Remake there instead. Jill is written incredibly well in that game.

I have been frequenting this store on and off ever since they opened. In that time I have always found something new or interesting to add to my game collection every time I stop in. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly answering any questions I may have. The prices are very fair and quite often below their compilation and they always have been generous when I trade in games with them.
In the time they have been open they have continued to improve and expand their selection. It is not a stretch to say they have become my go to source for retro video games.
