A great thrift shop with a nice variety of items that is worth checking out when you are in Lowell. I find a lot of cool things here.
F.R.O.M. is on the west end of Lowell and is housed in a repurposed older rest home building.
The thrift shop is straight back all the way to the rear of the building (you first will pass their main offices, then a food pantry, and then the thrift shop and donation center. Park back there.) There is handicap parking, with wheelchair access ramp and one of those push button automatic door openers. Nice.
Once inside, grab a little (very nice) cart on your right and check out what is displayed in the front room area. Any special sales are listed towards the right hand side on the wall - where the first hall begins( or just ask one of the many volunteers.) Most items are very reasonably priced and are marked with a barcoded sticker. The clothing (with nice boutique brands, too) is in its own large room straight ahead, while the household items are to the left down the longer hallway.
A very clean environment and everything is organized by type of item.
There is a craft room, a sports equipment room, a book and cd/dvd/vcr room, a baby items room, a furniture- lamps- small appliances (larger) room, a dishes and cutlery room, a candle- nicknacks room, and little connecting areas from some rooms to the adjoining room that has their own item theme like baskets or pet animal cages and items.
Hallways display art and frames, antiques (when available), greeting cards, silk flowers and greenery poked into a wall mounted bed spring, as well as curtains and table linens. Bedding is nicely packaged by the set in one of those 'in between room areas'.
There is a LOT to look at! Stop by often as great things come and go frequently.
Lastly - they gladly take a credit card with a minimum $5.00 purchase.

This place has helped me in so many ways. With affordable thrifted items and the friendly staff. Also the food pantry helping me as a single mom when the cost of food has gone way up, I’m very grateful for a place like this.

Been a FROM regular for years. The new management has the store looking and flowing beautifully. Seems like they’ve stepped up the deals lately which is an amazing added bonus. Got a huge bag full of stuff today for just under $10. Every item in the bag likely cost more than that at full price! 👍😁

I've lived in Lowell for over 10 years but have never been to the F.R.O.M.
I'm so glad I did! They have so much wonderful stuff at fantastic prices. I found office supplies, nuts and bolts for the garage, great winter coats, lots of books and craft items. I can't emphasize how nice the items were. Brand name shirt for $3, and a large wool sweater for 75 cents! (it was on the 75% off clearance rack.)
Stop in sometime, Im happy I did.

Goodness the prices here are unmatched! I have purchased onesies for 19 cents and gorgeous Steve Madden heels for 2 dollars! Their monthly red bag sales are an absolute steal. The volunteers are so understanding and kind. I will be back again and again!

Love that all the profits stay local, unlike Goodwill and Mel Trotter. I'm grateful for the latter but prefer to help local families. The store is always clean and everything is easy to find. The volunteers are exceptional.

It's a wonderful place for those who need to make their dollar stretch a little farther. Knowing those dollars stay in our community to help others make this an even better place to shop!

I like garage sales, and they have a lot of household items for sale. Their sort of like a goodwill store. They have good deals, but you just have to know what you want. I recently bought a really nice Spaulding softball glove for $8.00.

A great store with excellent selection and quality and unbeatable prices. It has become my go to for almost everything before I shop elsewhere. Stock changes rapidly so it is always a good thing to check regularly.

Great place to donate and shop. All volunteer run, no paying employees. Clean, bright, friendly. Much better than other thrift stores. All profits used to help people.
