Pinacle African Supermarket

We finally have a grocery store for the neighborhood! The employee there today (11/21) was attentive as soon as I entered and they have a unique collection of cultural food/snacks. There was a selection of meats and fish and other staples.

Interesting store, picked up some different spices while I was here, jallof, all purpose blend, suya, scotch bonnet peppers. The spices works well with any meal, went to chipotle and sprinkled all purpose blend on it added a nice kick. They also have frozen meats like goat which are harder to find. Currently attempting to smoke a few cubes, maybe try to make Jamaican goat curry another day. Overall pretty good selection.

Side note if considering smoking goat cubes it has a lot of collagen you'll need cut up the cubes removing the college prior to smoking or if on stove top let it braise for a few hours until fall apart tender. The meat itself wasn't at all gamey and tasted pretty good.

My first time in the store. The person that attended to me was very kind and the store was very clean. It had everything I wanted for fair prices and I’m just so glad I don’t have to travel all the way to Dallas!! I got palm oil, plantains, and red onions. They also had other ingredients: stock fish, egusi, ogbono, indomie, garri, and many others. I just discovered them on Google maps yesterday, but I’ll definitely be going back!!

Nice store for African stuff.
