La Rosita Mexican Grocery Store

Reviewing the restaurant only. - Came here after a relative suggested eating here. Ordered 3 tacos and expected them to be smaller. As a self-proclaimed taco expert, I can say these are Authentic. The tortilla was big, and of course, you get two per taco when ordering them on corn. The Suadero Taco was my favorite. The meat was cut in big chunks and really savory. You get salsa and avocado for your tacos. All our food was made as we ordered and didn't have to wait long. Congrats to the place, quality food at a great price.

Wow, love reading reviews for this restaurant, because people just love to hate. Let's start by stating this is the best taco and burrito joint in SP. I eat here at least once a week and buy fresh salsas and produce weekly. People stating they are rude, come on. If you make any effort at all you will be treated well. Love this place. Be kind and eat great food.

As an old Texan living in Wisconsin I appreciate good Tex-Mex food. La Rosita fits the bill for me. Simple seasonings, large portions, quick service & priced fairly. I keep coming back.

This has become one of our favorite places to eat and pick up staple grocery items for Mexican food at home! They have a simple menu, the food is made fresh for you, and their house made sauces are so delicious, and the price point makes it easy for our big family to eat here.

A few reviews comment on the akward ordering experience, and I'd just like to note that many employees, if not all of the people working there, speak English as a second language, and require some patience and understanding from any native English speakers ordering and eating there. I for one feel like I should actually take the time to learn some Spanish! I've not found anyone to be lacking in friendliness or good customer service, but there have definitely been times where a language barrier is being managed. And so what? Who cares? Personally, I'm thankful for a multicultural community, and people willing to service me in English the best they can, even though my brain hasn't absorbed a second language pretty much at all beyond saying Hola and asking for a taco. They're doing a hell of a lot better than me!

As a final note, this is a great place for kids to eat. Laid back, and friendly with my big family, which is not always something we experience when we eat out.

came during opening day and service was great, the place was super clean and all looked to be organized. i took some in-store made salsa and ordered a few tacos to go and really enjoyed them both. I have gone to the Monona branch a few time but I will be coming here more often now that we have one in Sun Pririe!!!!

Amazing chorizo. I have looked for that since I lived next to 2 taco stores and 4 more in the block I lived on. So good, everything is. I have eaten it all. Store is awesome also. Great meat at very reasonable price. Friendly so friendly and sweet .

Went in on a whim to see if they carry my favorite tortilla brand - EL Milagro and they do!!!! I am a happy camper. Don't need to drive to Monona to get my paisa fix. That and all the fixings I need to make my mexican dishes. People were really friendly and the butcher was quick to ask if I needed anything.

Just love this place. Delicious tacos tortas, Gorditas and quesadillas. Unbeatable prices too. This is our regular stop for tacos, burritos and shopping for authentic Mexican ingredients.

Taqueria is outstanding. Their tortas and burritos are huge, delicious, fresh, and a great value. I'm so glad La Rosita is now in Sun Prairie.

Legitimate taqueria and grocery store. Intended for Latinos, so be ready to speak Spanish. Prices are in-between street tacos and full service restaurants, but the food is on point! Tortas (sandwich), tacos, burritos (for gringos), and even weekend pazole (comfort soup Mexican grandma's make on the weekend)! The layout is an upscale Mexican grocery tienda with proper ingredients and an impressive meat counter for the size.

Went here for lunch. Service is excellent as is the food itself (I had a lengua torta). Grocery selection also looked excellent, especially the meat counter.

Awesome Mexican food made to order and tables to sit at. Highly recommended! I think this is as authentic as it gets.

Their burritos are top-notch and super value. He's been there several times and will likely go many more times

A friend told me about their chorizo. Amazing. Huge meat counter. Going to go back and try some other cuts.
