Easily the best homebrew shop in greater Pittsburgh. Overall it's among the best I've ever done business with. That goes for both online and brick & mortar shops. Friendly and knowledgeable service. On multiple occasions the owner and employees have gone above and beyond what was necessary without my even asking. Fantastic selection of grains, hops, yeast, liquid & dry malt extracts, beer recipe kits, equipment, and bits & bobs, plus everything to make wine and more.

Great homebrew shop here in Pittsburgh. Friendly knowledgeable staff with a huge selection of everything you could possibly need. And if they don’t have it in store, they will go above and beyond to try and get it from their distributor!

Good selection of most of your home brewing needs. Wine, Beer ,Meade and Cider supplies. Good selection of brewing tools,containers,bottles,caps,and corks. Nice selection of premade tables and do it yourself lable kits. A must visit store even to just look around . The also have a nice selection of yeast.

If you are into brewing beer, wine etc this supply store is a must. Prices are reasonable and staff is always ready to help.

Going on a year shopping here and it is the best brewing supply store I have been in. Great selection, friendly faces, fair prices, fantastic specials here and there. Excellent website, efficient order pickup, also a great place to shop in-person. Kegerator is currently filled with some of my best beers to date and South Hills Brewing is to thank, can’t recommend them enough.

What can I say, I've never had a bad experience here. Very helpful, knowledgable, and you can tell these guys know their stuff. I've sat and discussed brewing / kegging / etc., many times. They take the time to ensure you get the right things you need. When the Coraopolis store closed, I was sad, since I drive from WV, but I'll still make the trip to Country Wines. Best place in 3 states to get brewing supplies. Keep on keeping on guys!

One stop supply for making your favorite beverage. Very knowledgeable staff, most are extremely friendly. Prices are very reasonable.

This store is an amazing store and resource in our area. I know of no other homebrew supply store in the area (I'm in the eastern suburbs) that carries the variety of product South Hills Brewing does, nor does any other store keep as consistent of a stock. In the 15 years I've been brewing I've been able to walk in or look on line and find exactly what I need and want. Sure, you can order most anything from the big online retail stores. However a big differentiator is full sacks of grain. Those don't ship for free. And most places have very limited options and won't special order different sacks of malt. South Hills Brewing has sacks of whatever you need. I'm happy to drive to pick them up rather than pay premium prices by the pound or $60 for shipping.

The service is amazing too. The people there love talking beer and are happy to help.

In such a niche market I don't know how they maintain the inventory and service that they do, but they do. It's sad they aren't doing walk-ins right now but it's been a tough few years for business. We home brewers should do our part to support local business and keep this institution going.

My go-to local homebrew shop. I always order online and they are usually filled within an hour of the shop opening. Prices are reasonable and comparable to online retailers, staff is knowledgable and friendly, selection is great. Always a good experience.

I live closer to the South Hills branch, but I always drive up to this store when I need anything. The staff here is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It's always fun to chat about what I'm working on and ask for advice when trying new things - they know what they're talking about (and have a good sense of humor to boot).

Great place to buy all of your brewing and wine making needs. Cheaper than other places. This will be my new go to location. Hops are stored correctly which was very nice to see. Very easy going atmosphere. The sales people are very knowledgeable with many years experience in this hobby. Highly recommend!

Ordering online was easy. Was expecting a couple days to get the email saying I could come pick up my stuff and was surprised that it only took about 5 minutes for it to show up. Ended up picking up next day because I wasn't prepared for a quick turnaround. Pick up was easy. Called from the parking lot when I arrived and everything was placed outside the door. Thanks.

I have ordered online several times since COVID quarantine and state regulations were put in place. The experience has been excellent, my order is always right, and the staff have been courteous and mindful of regulation. I miss going in and browsing, but they're still helping me brew!

I love going here. Fellow brewers please use these gentlemen's services over online websites whenever possible. They are knowledgeable and will help you brew great brews from the start. Fair prices on everything. I find myself there for an hour talking with the staff because they are such a joy to be around. True passion for the hobby.

I made 2 orders an both orders were ready by the time I got to the store. When I got there I remembered I forgot a piece for my jockey box. I placed the order from my car in their parking lot and when I called to let them know I was in the lot they grabbed the additional piece and ran the additional stuff out with my order. They have all the supplies for making wine, beer, and other things. Staff is friendly, approachable, and very knowledgeable. They are happy to answer questions, and are genuinely interested in making sure that your project is as successful as possible. Highly recommended!

Great place with a knowledgeable staff and good prices. Prices are on par with the big online suppliers if you factor in shipping. Staff is more than happy to teach the ins and outs to beginners to brewing and winemaking.
