For Ewe is one of my happiest happy places. Lisa is kind and welcoming and always has just what I need, even if I didn’t know I needed it. I recently purchased yarn for a baby blanket and she had just the right thing. 100% acrylic, machine washable yarn in rainbow colors, which is theeeeeee softest acrylic I’ve ever used. I think I need to make a blanket for myself! ❤🌈 Thank you for all that you do for our community, Lisa!

I love this shop. Lisa always has a wonderful inventory of the coolest Stitchery accessories and fun craft items like adult language cross stitch kits. Fun coffee mugs, not to mention yarn, and yarn, and more high quality, indie yarn dyers win all weights. And Lisa always has a smile and a welcoming attitude.

My first time visiting! It's a deceptively small store in an old Victorian house. You enter the front door then walk up a set of stairs, turn left and there it is! It's like walking into a surprise full of color and kind people. I loved it!! The walls are covered and there's am amazing array of yarn selections, needles, tools, pattern books, etc. I look forward to more visits!!

She also focuses on carrying women or LGBT owned Indy yarns with a few popular options as well such as Malabrigo and Madeleine Tosh.

This shop has a huge selection of wonderful yarns. Lisa is amazingly helpful and fun. She is knowledgeable and has a place for people to come together and craft and help each other. I go every time I am in Oberlin. A hugely welcoming place.

The pictures are from an unboxing of an order. It was lovely to be able to see it all before it went on the shelves.

I love coming here! Wether I actually need something or just want to hang out and knit, it’s always a great place to go because Lisa is so welcoming. As a student, I love that her mission is to be an accessible yarn shop both in price and socially. Much fun!

Once again, Lisa and For Ewe hits it out of the park! I was running low on yarn in the middle of a sweater and sent an email to see if she might have more in the right dye lot. She responded in record time and my yarn is on its way less than 24 hours later. Such a great store and wonderful owner!

Lovely selection of sock yarn and a very warm and inviting small local yarn shop. Lisa helped me get started on a shawl that had an i-cord cast on and was super patient while I was learning. Highly recommend this LYS!

Lisa at For Ewe really does have a cozy and inclusive space. She carries a vast selection of delicious yarns, accessories, patterns and fun items that no yarner should be without. He space is located upstairs in the building so if you have mobility issues that could be a problem but has excellent and true to color photos of her products and will bring them curbside for you.

Lisa is a gem! She has a wonderful array of interesting yarn and offers lots of help if you're not quite sure what to get. I wish I lived closer - I only get to Oberlin a few times each year, but For Ewe is high up on my list for a visit.

For Ewe is everything you could hope for in a local yarn store. The owner, Lisa, is friendly, knowledgeable, and personable! The yarn selection is varied and excellent, with many different fibers, brands, and weights available. The social knitting area is beautifully lit and comfortable, and the community in the store is fantastically inclusive and warm. I cannot recommend the shop enough to anyone interested in fiber arts: there's yarn, of course, and a good selection of knitting needles, crochet hooks, and notions, but also drop spindles and spinning fiber; dellaQ and other project bags; and lessons and classes available.

Couldn't have a better experience. Lisa (the proprietor of the store) has basically taught me to knit and she's wonderful. Amazing selection of yarn, cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the knitting circles every week are such a safe space. Would - and do - recommend For Ewe to every fiber artist I meet.

This yarn shop is a gem! It's the only yarn shop I have ever felt truly comfortable in. Lisa is knowledgeable, fun and creative. She has curated a fantastic selection of fiber, tools and accessories. Do yourself a favor and check it out for yourself. You can also shop in their online store if you can't make it in person. There are classes, hangouts and charity projects too. Don't miss out!

For Ewe is my fave Happy Place in Oberlin. Lisa is super knowledgable and generally fun to talk to about anything and curates an exceptional selection of yarn, fiber, and craft tools. And somehow everyone the shop attracts is friendly and happy to talk about fiber arts.
I always find the yarn or fiber I want plus a couple of extras to add to my stash. The whole general atmosphere of the spot is light, airy, and welcoming. I always leave feeling uplifted!

What a lovely little yarn store Lisa and her staff were great. I bought some wonderful yarn there. They really knocked me off my feet.(haha Lisa and mr. lisa). my friend, who I was visiting with, was not a knitter but she’s going to be taking classes with Lisa. I will definitely be back again.
