Cutest little bakery ! A bunch of artisanal, unique goods. Crafted drinks we had were delicious. I got some white chocolate pistachio cardamom cookie that were amazing. We went late so we missed the other baked goods. Definitely going back earlier next time ! Also, the shop owner was super nice. Had “main character in a Hallmark movie” vibes 😊

What a gem! They have a set lunch menu that’s always delicious. Their pastries and baked goods don’t disappoint. My favorites have been the savory danishes, the maple bacon, and the pistachio cardamom cookies. The staff has always been accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!

Amazing baked goods, very friendly and helpful, neat variety of gifts, preserves, candy, crackers, etc. And they have a bathroom!

So glad I took the ride to Gilbertsville! Lovely bakery in this quaint village. Bread, muffins (chose a GF option for my SIL) cookies and scones, all were delicious! Friendly helpful service. Would definitely recommend!

Five kids bakehouse is a literal slice of heaven tucked into this tiny town. We were in the area for a college graduation and ended up staying right across from the bakehouse, so we took advantage of their early hours for some breakfast pastries. Needless to say, we were shocked at how good they were. So shocked, in fact, that we ate them all and went back for more an hour later - only to find that they were nearly sold out of everything (people come on the weekend to stock up for the upcoming week). Definitely worth stopping if you’re passing through or want to take a detour for a delicious treat! Now please excuse me while I go sing this bakery’s praises to everyone I know.

I just purchased a cruffin and almond croissant from the Mt Vision stand and oh my goodness! They were absolutely amazing! So soft! Can’t wait to go try more !

This has been my favorite addition to Gilbertsville. The baked goods are superb. The quality is what you might expect from a place that was there for a hundred years. Whether you are looking for something savory or sweet, they have something for you. Take some time to drive their way and take a taste.

Obsessed with this bakery.. the cookies are outstanding, chocolate chip and birthday cake cookies are my favorite! They have all sorts of treats, great bread and tasty drinks too. Give them a try you will be glad you did! 5 stars!!!

We visited Gilbertsville from out of town. Five Kids Bakehouse is by far the best bakery we’ve ever gone to, and (unashamedly) we’ve visited many through the years! Despite the steady flow of regulars, the owners were welcoming, kind and patient with our not so patient children. The people and community alone makes it a business you want to be loyal to. In addition the costumer service, the pastries and cookies were to die for. We took a large sampling home to the extended family and each treat was beyond our expectations. If you’re looking for a variety of choices, flavors and textures and that fresh out of the oven taste, this is the place for you. We hope we’re able to return someday!

Delicious pastries, breads, cookies and the new sandwiches are a delightful addition! Everything I've tried here is tasty. You don't find a spot like this in most small towns. The 3 cheese bread and garlic are my personal favorites!

Wow. My husband and I were out for a wintery drive (beautiful countryside) and drove past the Bakehouse. He was told by friends about it so we turned around. Outstanding! Delicious.

We walk to the bake store most mornings; it's our favorite time of the day. It's a joy we never take for granted and are so fortunate to have in our little village. Delicious breads, warm baguettes, pastries that dare you not to buy them. Thank you Heather and Cole for this slice of heaven in Gilbertsville:)

Came all the way from CT to spend time with family and friends. I was so surprised to find a world class bakery sitting in the middle of the quaint and picturesque town of Gilbertsville! My time spent was full of one after the other to die for pastry’s and baked treats. Kudos. Please come and visit this hidden gem.
