Short walking distance from the Central Green, the Lerner Theater, and the Vanilla Bean Creamery. They offer free samples for the variety of interesting popcorn flavors that there are to choose from. They make their own treats such as chocolate covered Oreos and marshmallows. There's fudge brought in from Pennsylvania. Of course you gotta grab some of those chocolate espresso beans! Good place to go for your salty/sweet snack needs!

My daughter relocated to Elkhart & during a recent visit, we stayed at the Hotel Elkhart. My daughter took me into The Dutch Kernel so I picked up a Large bag of caramel corn. I consider myself a Carmel corn expert and I rate theirs “THE BEST” I’ve ever had. The popcorn has just the right amount of salt and Carmel. So amazing. Plus the bags are heavy duty so it stays fresh a long time!

The ladies were so helpful and kind! So many flavor options and prices that are conducive to a “I just need some popcorn for a snack” budget! Will be back!!

Love this place. We are big fans of the location in Nappanee and couldn't wait for Elkhart to open. We went yesterday and got a sampler with sweet heat (my personal favorite), peppermint white chocolate, turtle, monster cookie, and birthday cake, all of them were awesome as expected and prices didn't seem excessive. The place was packed when we went in, but it was also the official grand opening day. Parking will also be an issue downtown, but we were lucky enough to get a space right in front. Good chance we will be back here to get another sampler to share at Christmas, highly recommendeed!!!
