Coast Guard Exchange

I love this Exchange! They have ample parking plus two EV charging stations. You get two hours of free charging so you can get charged up while you shop. How cool is that! They are conveniently located in Centreville so depending on what time you head there, it could get congested. If you live in the area and you're a military person, make sure you come by and check them out.

There's a lady by the front door that checks military ID card so be prepared to get asked and show it to them. The staff was really friendly- they all greeted us when we came in. The store still smelled like a brand new store. It was great.

I walked around and checked out their aisles. It's a typical exchange. They were pretty stocked up and everything looked in order and arranged properly. We specifically came here to get a bottle of bourbon for a friend and let me tell you - their selection is amazing. We won't go anywhere else. Probably better than Ft. Myer or Belvoir. They had a HUGE selection of wine, alcohol, beer - you name it. Of course, they were priced a lot lower than your local ABC so we definitely came to the right place. We picked up four different bottles since they were such a great deal! I highly recommend.

The cashier was a trainee but she was very friendly and efficient. She told me about the rewards program so I signed up and also gave me two gift cards worth $10 since I spent over $200. I guess I'm going to have to come back next week :)

As I was walking out the building, I realized that the cashier accidentally gave me an extra dollar so I came back around and gave her the dollar back.

Such a great place to do your shopping. I highly recommend!

PSA: This is to anyone who does not know. The CGX is not open to the public. Only Veterans, Active duty or those with a valid Government Service ID including immediate family members are allowed to shop. 100% recommend!

Nice new store. Bright and well laid out as it is not overcrowded. Helpful and friendly staff.

Great place for a vast selection clothes, electronics, and spirits! Don’t forget your military ID or you won’t get very far past the front door.

A great selection on booze makes this place famous. They are also running great deals regularly in that section. Also, they have a good selection for weapons and ammo. I am not USCG, but those who are will get great uniform items. Being Navy, I will say this is a good Exchange for being where it is. I applaud their team for keeping it looking good. Definitely a place to get some deals on booze!

Love the CGX. Do convenient for those west of DC. A little bit of everything. Great outdoor area and Class 6.

This is a standard military exchange. It has a Coast Guard uniform shop and class VI store. The convenience of having an exchange off any military base is wonderful. We live too far from any military bases to take advantage of that benefit.

As an active duty member, it has a good selection of uniform items if you need but good selection on civilian clothing as well. I just wish it was closer to where I lived. But overall, glad that one is here in the VA area.

Easy parking and access to carts. Well designed inside with a comfortable flow. Quality products , well priced and helpful, friendly staff.

Super clean store. May seem small but don’t let that fool you, the alcohol section is huge.

Great deals on several items, guns, shoes, liquor, and televisions.

Store is great and for those that are eligible to shop here, there is no sales tax. If you aren't military, but still qualify to shop here, don't forget your PIV. Otherwise, you won't be able to buy anything. Prices are slightly cheaper than other stores. Basically, they mark up the prices from what you would typically pay at other stores by a small fraction while keeping them under what you would pay with tax, but make sure to price check. I have seen that a lot of items are actually more expensive than big box retailers.

For a Commissary, this place is huge. You can find a good mix of just about everything except groceries. Mind you there are snacks and items for pets. Solid clothing/footwear selection. Tvs, laptops, you name it they probably have it.
Decent variety of firearms w/ accessories. Great spirits selection and the entire store is very well kept.
Obviously you need the correct identification, to make purchases. No restrictions of guests, either (you'll need to log them)
If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping in.

Great shopping deals for the Holidays... lots of stocking stuffer ideas and great selection of TVs at really good prices... plus the tax free benefit. Went on Sat about 2pm and not crowded at all. Also have all the Navy uniform extras you might need... like ribbons/medals, insignia,etc. Have to start making this a regular stop since it is the closest military exchange to Fairfax. Nice clothing selection and all the cosmetic and fragrance stuff you can imagine. Really nice facility.

Glad this place is open. Wished they had more children's clothing; the exchange usually does a great job providing kids clothes at reasonable prices. This exchange seems to be catering to military retirees, extensive alcohol selection, lots of cosmetics, and guns. Good for their bottom line, but not so great for young families.

Great location for a service exchange (department store) in central NOVA. Open to active duty, retired and separated military veterans. Also open to DHS and component employees. Nice selection of clothing and shoes. Decent electronics, computers and gaming section. Extensive wine, liquor & beverages section. Also has a small shooting sports section with a very limited selection. Note: Appropriate identification required to enter! Update: Now you can get 10¢/gal off at the gas station across the street when you show appropriate id. This may be a limited offer--please verify with staff.

I have been impressed with this store since it opened. It is well run with an excellent product spectrum. They have awesome sales to include multiple scratch off's during the year. So much better run then the Army and Air Force Post / Base Exchanges. Would highly recommend!

Well stocked, legit CGX in the middle of nowhere. Drove from Baltimore and well worth the drive.
