Ferrara Candy Company

Forest Park's sweetest attraction is the Ferrara Pan Candy Company. The area exudes a sweet aroma from the candy being crafted inside the factory.
The "pan" in the Ferrara Pan name comes from the method in which the candies are made. An open, rotating pan is used to get that hard-candy finish on all your favorites like Original Boston Baked Beans, Sour Cherries, and NERDS.
Check out the cool cow head sculpture right below the sign. The cow holds significance for the building as Ferrara relocated to the current premises in the early 1960s. It was previously occupied by Borden Dairy. Elsie the Cow, a mascot created by Borden in 1936, is prominently featured throughout the building's design.

This is a modest store that is affixed to a candy factory. The candy in the shop is amazing, with a wide variety and really low costs. My spouse used to bicycle here when he was a young lad. Now, whenever we go see his parents, he takes our kids there. He is still remembered by the same lady who works there. She agreed not to reveal how frequently my husband used to ride there and buy candy to our children. This location is a little-known gem!

It's a nice little store but very limited candy choices. Possibly due to the weather and covid. I expected something a little different I guess. Yet all in all it was nice little candy store, good prices. The lady who waited on us for very nice. We will be back 😊😋

A fantastic "go to" place for your candy and nuts. A dizzying number of choices and the people there are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

This is a candy factory with a small store attached. The candy in the store is phenomenal with a great selection and really cheap prices. My husband used to ride his bike here as a boy. Now, he takes our kids there when we visit his parents. The same lady still works there and remembers him! She promised not to tell our kids how often my husband used to ride there and buy candy, lol. This place is a hidden little gem!

Great people to do business with I have worked there as a technician and they have a very nice plant.

Love coming here to buy candy every time we visit Chicago! We used to live down the street from the factory and could smell what they were making each day.

Great candy and an outlet store where u can buy all the Fararra products and some of the Brachs products. Brachs does have Great chocolate.

Birthplace of Lemonheads, 'Boston' baked beans, Redhots and jawbreaker candy. Factory has retail store on Harrison St where candy is available at a discount.
