I didn't want "just a Les Paul." As the area's only dealer of Heritage Guitars, Main Stage had exactly what I was looking for! And here's the kicker, they were friendly, knowledgeable and actually WANTED to help find what I was hunting. Yes, I found my Heritage LP-style axe, but I also found my go-to music store in the wonderfully "Mom-n-Pop" Main Stage Music. It's more than worth the beautiful drive. And they sent me on my way w a cool Main Stage t-shirt that my wife stole! But she DID get me the guitar for my birthday...

We came in last week looking for a starter Amp for my daughter. We explained she's 11 and just got her first guitar, and we didn't need anything fancy yet. They weren't pushy at all, helped us find exactly what we needed, and got her signed up for lessons. She had her first lesson today with Erik, and we couldn't be happier! He's an excellent teacher. He explains things thoroughly, takes his time, and made sure she had a good grasp on what he taught before moving on. She walked out super excited to practice this week and show off what she's learned. I was really hoping the lesson would get her excited and it really did. I will recommend this place to everyone I see. You will not be disappointed!

I am visiting from Arizona. My kids and grandkids live in Dayton TN. My son in law told me about Main Stage Music, and that I should check it out. I have been playing guitar professionally for many years. So, I was happy to stop in and check it out. My past experiences with smaller (not big chain) music stores, was they mostly catered to beginner, school band rentals, and not major brand guitars. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the store and saw walls of hanging guitars. Although they do have beginner line guitars, they have high end electrics and acoustics too. Martin, Gibson, Fender and other hand made guitars that I am not familiar with. They are a full service store with, guitars, amps, violins, banjos, mandolins, sound equipment, drums etc… they do guitar set ups and have access to an amp repair service. I talked with Oscar, who was very knowledgable and friendly. He offered to let me play anything I wanted and gave me a brief history on the store. The next time you are in Dayton, or on line, in the market for instruments, you should definitely check out Main Stage Music. Kind of a diamond in the ruff. A small town music store with big town inventory and features!

Me and my dad play in a band and we’ve been going to guitar center for our music needs for years, but we just found this shop in Dayton and it was amazing. Amazing and broad selection of guitars, amps, pedals, basses, etc. So easy to try everything out and really make sure you’re buying the right thing with no pressure. Great customer service and all around amazing vibes. Definitely make this your main guitar shop.

I stopped in to check out the store. Wow! Several students of mine have been making the short drive up to Dayton and what a gem of a store. It has that cool music store vibe from back in the day. Had a good chat with Brad and let me tell you he get it right with his store. It is a full service music store and definitely worth the drive!

I loved this place so much! The gentleman that assisted us, Mr. Oscar, was SUCH a sweet guy!! He assisted me with a violin I wanted to try out and even mentioned that he was interested in learning, so I was able to take an opportunity to show a little bit of what I have learned! The store itself has a wonderful ambience, is very clean- and even has a little furry feline friend who greets you when you walk in! He doesn’t seem to bite or scratch and kept rubbing against my leg for more scratches! Haha! I loved the place and the customer service was better than anything I have ever experienced! I was able to buy violin strings for a surprisingly cheap but good quality price! My violins sound wonderful with their new set!! Did I forget to mention the cool collectibles?? You’ll have to see for yourself! It’s amazing!!

I’ve known Brad/have been visiting his store since I was a sophomore in high school and I’m now 35. He has never failed to always make me feel welcome and always tries to hook me up with the best deals around. Bought a beautiful Tama drum set from them and he even stayed open a little late so I could make it down. If you wanna drop the corporate staleness of shopping at big name stores, come to Main stage music were you always feel like you are right at home.

Great place, found a small Warwick bass head/cabinet combo not in any other local music store! Everyone at this place was great!

Started to learn guitar and decided to stop buy to ask some questions about my first guitar. I spoke with Oscar and let him know I am new and wasn't looking to buy right away just research, and he still went above and beyond to tour me around the store to show me different models and played them for me and showed me what to look for to find the best fit based off my preferred music taste.

Drove 40 minutes to shop at this gem. Wonderful selection for guitars, effects, patch cables, and any other accessories you may need. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, informative and goes out of their way to help. Products are quality with a nice guarantee. Thanks a bunch !
