Very friendly and hard-working owner! It’s mostly family run. Nice to see a genuine mom and pop shop right in the heart of Aventura that is able to offer everything from Wine/Beer, to Bananas/sunscreen! Not to mention some of the BEST coffee (Cortadito is my favorite) and sandwiches in the are (Philly Cheesesteak is amazing)!

Also, I would like to note that I don’t live in the area but I always pay a visit here when I travel to see family and it’s easily accessible to non-MP residents so definitely give it a try!

Discrimination at its Worst.
I can't believe in this day and age I'm facing this. I was denied Food, yes food.
I would gladly talk to a manager if one wants to. Girl there that day would not even say hello. I had to get her attention to order a sandwich and she said no food.
Funny the person in front of me got food and there was fresh food in window.
Please explain this behavior...
I have a Yacht there and will take my money and all my boating friends elsewhere.

Been going here for years and have been facing discrimination but remained positive and optimistic about it hoping for better treatment and that things would get better. Besides brunch, lunch and snacks, I purchase at least 3-4 large bottles of “Vita-Coco” (Coconut water) faithfully on a daily basis for me and some of the staff members working the area . I’m an African American HVAC/Major appliance technician (+ 10 years experience) servicing the Mystic Pointe area for over 10 years and usually stop at the minimart 1-3 times a day out of convenience for lunch or to grab a drink. They raise and change the prices during my purchases and restrict and limit my options and requests, when any other person can come make the same exact request with no problem. So when I noticed, during my last purchase today the price for the Vita Coco changed again by $1.50. So I requested my receipt for my purchase and informed her I’ve been being charge way more for the same item for a long time when she’s not there. After I said that she started talking to one of the other employees about me “Spanish” then the elder Hispanic women running the register at the moment got very angry, hostile, defensive and disrespectful when I requested my receipt. She denied me my receipt, and told me she didn’t know why the register isn’t currently working right now and said “ You have to request a receipt before any purchase if I want one” I attempted to but another then she denied me service and said “she will no longer service me”, and told me to leave and not to return. She then scribbled/doodled an unofficial receipt with some numbers and told me to just take that. Then proceeded to give the next immediate customer their official receipt with no isssue. Every visit I’m being uncomfortably watched and treated like a criminal. Being forced to rush in and out. They constantly ask me what do I want or what am I there for before I can even make a purchase, even though I shop there daily. It didn’t make sense to me that I come shop everyday happily, RESPECTFULLY, smiling, in high spirits, and get the same exact thing but pay a different price daily. I even leave a tip most of the time. I’m truly disappointed and hurt that I’m being discriminated against and treated unfairly especially when I’ve supported and shopped there literally everyday for so long. African American people are not welcomed there but are rather tolerated and it is clear as day. Every visit I’m being treated like she doesn’t want to be bothered or service me. I work for hard and diligent for my earnings and would just like to be treated fairly. A lot of the items I request on the menu and that are literally sitting on display aren’t even for sale when i try to purchase it. They also serve left overs from 2 days out as “fresh food”. I will never spend another dime there again
